Yes I've checked previous threads. To my way of thinking, the two following sentences have the same meaning and can be used in the same context, what do you think? 1. In most day-to-day life, you're going to encounter unfocused lasers. These lasers are created cohesive and need no focusing. In some applications, there are lasers that are focused. These ... Verb: focus, focuses or focusses, focusing or focussing, focused or focussed. I've used both forms, but when I'm more conscious with spelling then I use the ones with the extra s. Don't exactly know why when both forms are correct. I guess I just want to conform to the rule of consonant-vowel-consonant + the last consonant + the verb inflection(s). The problem with focused or concentrated (even worse) is that it can apply to too many other things. The word should apply to a person focused on an activity. It needs to be one word, an adjective, not a noun or verb. Does such a word exist or is focused the best English has to offer? "I am focused on my work " says something about you personally - it is like, I am tall, I am young, etc "I am focusing on my work" says something about what you are doing - it is like, I am fishing, I am walking,etc. Both of your sentences are OK. 2024.11.25 03:41 Stuckaround2200 Ben Solak suddenly not posting his season long bets record in his columns
Idk if it’s just me that cares but did anyone else notice that Solak for 9 weeks in every Friday ESPn bets column was posting his season long record and units won/lost with his bets then all of a sudden last week stopped including that information (and continued to not include it this week?) I don’t hate Solak like some and loved the nfl pod with Sheil but IMO that’s really sketchy stuff. I don’t expect anyone to actually beat Vegas outside of like 2% of people but it sure looks like he just stopped including these due to embarrassment.
The other thing that I always found somewhat sketchy was his little “keys to the game” twitter schtick which always included his season long win loss record on these player props as a win loss record but not a unit record that includes vigs. It’s misleading to say your “keys to the game” are 35-29 on the season or whatever without pointing out that you got your wins at -115 or whatever.
Maybe this is me being nitty but it has been bothering me so much since I read his column last week and noticed they were suddenly gone. These are all entertainment but props to like Vic Tarfur on the Athletic he is like 44-70 on the season on spreads which is hilarious. Embrace it IMO

I thought before that using sublingually was they key to stop nausea, but after reading a lot and experimenting a lot I now realize that repeated small doses over an hour, no matter the method of taking is the key. If you mix it in with a drink and take an hour to sip it all, that's as little nausea as taking it sublingually slowly over an hour.
If you have mescalogues take your time. Start slow and keep it slow.

I got a one star tonight for 'friendliness' when it was a no contact order. I'm 2 weeks in and it's stressing me out. When you think about it, the Antagonist tour made literally no sense financially. Not a single person that listens to Ken, Lone, or HXG would care about them being at a Carti concert… because they’d go to the Carti concert anyways. There’s no audience differentiation between these artists. Antagonist would have been just as successful if it were a Carti solo tour as if it were a collab tour. Much more efficient to turn out each individual fan base MULTIPLE TIMES on multiple tours especially with the release of AGC and LLF, basically triple-dipping with the same audience.
If the Antagonist tour does happen, itll be bc Opium is between releases after Carti drops so nobody would be touring otherwise. But the tour made no sense with the release schedule of the label signees
