My bmw m4 (f82) went into differential limp mode at the track yesterday. I used ISTA+ to diagnose the issue and verified that the wiring harness is not shorted or open. The service procedure says to replace the Differential Servo motor which is $500 new.
Should I bother to throw parts at this or do I spend $3500 on a drexler diff, I hate having electrical failures and this leaves a bad taste in my mouth about the ediff.

2024.11.25 03:29 Warped_Mindless Help with a study: What USPSA class would most SWAT and spec ops fall into?
Very general question I know but I’m helping someone with a study and I’m looking from some preliminary information from various sources.
So two groups of people: SWAT and NON Tier 1 Special Operations (so rangers, seals, SF, Marsoc, etc)…
Shooting skills wise, what equivalent class do you think many of them would land in?
I get it’s vague because “SWAT” can run the gamut from full time swat teams to “part time anyone who wants on the team can be on it” type teams in rural counties.
Also, some swat and Spec Ops guys do compete in practical shooting as a hobby but for now let’s discount those guys.
Also, if anyone has links to data in this that would be helpful. I did find one link where a Swat instructor, who is also a IDPA guy ran a bunch of swat guys thru the qualifier and that was helpful.
The study is being conducted by university students an this is just some preliminary research.

I have been on-and-off with my gf for about 2.5 years. We have been going strong the last 6-months LDR - we live about an hour’s flight from each other and see each other maybe once a month on average.
I work as a lawyer for the government in Canberra, Australia. I have very strong career ambitions. Recently, I’ve done some career and goal planning. At the end of next year, I’m planning on moving to Italy to do a Masters and then hopefully obtain employment in Europe at an NGO. Failing that, I’d like to come back to Australia after my Masters and live rurally for a period to get as much experience as a young lawyer as possible.
My gf works as a policy officer for the government in Melbourne. She doesn’t really have clear career goals similar to mine but like the work she does at the moment.
The issue: Recently, we’ve been discussing long-term plans like closing the distance and views on kids. I desperately want kids later in life and want her to move to Canberra prior to us moving overseas for me to do my Masters. She was originally hard no to kids but says she wants to work through some of her reasoning with her psych to get onboard with having kids. She also hates Canberra (fair enough lmao) and would much prefer to me to move briefly to Melbourne before we move overseas for my Masters, but is willing to move for our relationship.
My problem is, she has said she’s willing to move to my city, shift her views on kids and move overseas with me for my masters. I know how important compromise and sacrifice is in any relationship, particularly a LDR. However, when I think about making similar compromises for her, I know I wouldn’t make them. I guess I’m at a stage in my life where my career ambitions are above anything relationship related (selfish I know, but true).
Larger than that, I think I’m coming out of the ‘honeymoon’ stage of our relationship and trying to think of us long term. I love this girl to death but I’m struggling to see her in my future in the next 5 years, I struggle to see her as the mother of my kids.
I don’t really have a question per se, I’d just love to hear other peoples experience with this. I have a gut feeling that something is missing for me in this relationship and that’s why I’m struggling to see a future together (even though she is perfect on paper and we are very much in love).
Has anyone else experienced this? Coming out of the honeymoon stage or refusing to make compromises that your partner is willing to make for you? How did it work out? Did you need to breakup or is it something you were able to talk through?
TLDR: I feel like something is ‘missing’ in my LDR and I can’t tell if it’s a normal feeling or if it means we should breakup.

This is going in a room with some ambient lighting (has windows with blinds).
From where I’ll put the projector to the screen, it’s about 216” and my available space for the screen is 165” side to side in length (not diagonal)

1) Totems - They were in the S3 trailer and the S3 poster however didn't play a big role in this season other than making Tabitha remember her dream of being in Fromville before. I was expecting a new type of monster or something related to the totems.
2) Fatimas pregnancy was heavily dragged out, it became boring to watch at some point.
3) Boyd said something along the lines of "lets capture one of them and make then talk" refering to the monsters and then completely forgot about it. I was hoping to see Boyd torturing a monster alive.
4) Randall mentioned the monsters have certain patterns and habits. I was really disappointed this wasn't explored further.

I am a new player whos only been playing for a month or so, and it was the first time I encountered this situation. Today, I matched up against a discard deck in Deapool's Diner and it was for a lot of bubs. Their Modok went off and quickly went into fast forward after showing a Scorn discard, so I checked their discarded tab and saw only some discard cards and 4 swarms. I then made my play only accounting for swarms and no top decks because of their full hand when they suddenly slammed a 12 power Apoc on the right beating my Mockingbird.
I snapped into turn 6 thinking they didn't have their Apoc in hand, and I guess it makes sense that it wouldn't show up in the discarded tab since it is regenerated as the same card. However, I want to ask if the thing we are supposed to do in this situation is check their hand size or Morbius power and deduce that they have an extra regenerated card in hand? But in this case having a full hand for them would tell me nothing, and I didn't check how many cards they had prior to Modoking and Scorn was also in the mix, so just comparing the number of discarded cards to Morbius' power is a bit unreliable. Overall, this just seems very user unfriendly and a lot of unnecessary turns to take when the fast foward could have just not happened? My apologies if this is a common occurence and that it is expected of you to play around it but yeah this is my first time encountering this. Just a bit salty that it felt like the game was actively helping my opponent conceal important info. Now I wonder how bad it was before the discarded tab was introduced and you just have to blindly guess what the opponent has in their hand lol

Hey there, happy early thanksgiving... Last Jan 2024 I slipped while walking the garbage can out to the curb. Bad break, had surgery, plate implant on radius and ulna pin actually gave me MRSA once I got cast off.
Here's the info. I rent from a gentleman who owns a private single person house. My daughter and I moved in way back in 2019 but she's moved away so it's only him and I. I didn't have insurance. Because I lost my ability to work, the state insurance covered 98 percent of everything; from ER visit to aftercare therapy so no worries. However, because it happened on his property, on ice that was not salted ( both cops also slipped while walking to my driveway where I was waiting) and I took some decent pics of the driveway the day of my slip.
Anyway, he begged me to not sue his hometown insurance because his rates would go up, or so he said, and so I have not sued him. I have 3 years from date of injury, I believe in Wisconsin it's 3 years, and I'm never going to use my arm, wrist or hand like I did before that day. If I sue him for pain and suffering, will that cash go to my medicine bills first? Would it be worth it? I lost my waitress job because I was out of work from Jan 23 until May 15 because of the MRSA and my lack of strength.
If anyone can reply with their experiences, or with any info have, I would be greatly appreciate it.
