 | Hey all. Im pretty new to the AR10 platform, but not the AR platform as a whole. I have built a few AR15s and have been shooting them for years so I would say I know my way around them. I had a buddy bring me his Bear Creek Arsenal 6.5CM AR10. He says he's been having issues with it since day 1 and just wants me to take a look. The first thing I found was that it looks like the finger that gets grabbed by the mag follower after the last round is shot has sheered off. This seems weird to me, as I would think the bolt shouldn't be shearing the finger off as the bolt doesnt contact that particular spot, and I would hope the mag follower wouldn't have broke it. Anyone have any ideas what may have happened? Maybe BCAs shitty bolt catch? Do they sheer off that particular spot when overgassed? Now to fix the the actual problem. Assuming the bolt catch is actually broke, I would, at the least, replace the bolt catch and call it a day. But if I had to guess there is an underlying issue, probably overgassing, and would require an adjustable gas block also. Any ideas? After much research, I read the tiny label near the plug with bulb information and found the correct voltage/watts. I have 12 sockets in series. 10v x 12 = 120V The problem is I've scoured the Internet and can't find any 10V replacements, only 12V. What's my best option, other than buying a new star? We have used the marketplace for insurance for years. We’re in Ohio. My husband is self employed and I was a SAHM. I now have a job and am eligible for benefits in February 2025. Our anticipated 2025 household income is 150-200k with my additional income. However the health insurance premium for our family (we have 3 young kids) through my new job would be $2500 a month. Marketplace would be $2000 a month. I’m in my mid 30s. Husband is early 40s. It seems wildly expensive on both sides for a HDHP? Are there any alternatives?
PS I am a cancer survivor. I don’t know if it matters for non-marketplace insurance coverage, if that’s even an option, so just mentioning it.

I submitted the spouse visa application today (25th nov) , my last bank statement is dated 28 October , Today would be day 28. Can I go to the bank today (25th Nov) and get the latest statement up to today's date? Technically it is within 28 days of the application.

I’m talking about: scooping up the soup in a direction away from you; cutting noodles; eating with the correct fork; offering a forearm to a lady to escort; etc.
Seems like all that must’ve just flown out the window sometime between the 90’s and 2010’s.
Anybody else feel like those etiquette classes were just unrealistic advice? And ultimately a waste?

Looking to do a weekday trip out west this year as I’ve never been snowboarding anywhere else other than Michigan. Can’t decide between Breckenridge or snowbird considering flight ticket is cheap and similarly priced and with the epic day pass and the snowbird flex 5 pass both are around $110 a day. Which is the better option? It will be end of January during the week so will there still be long lift lines etc? Open to other resort options besides Breck that are close to Denver airport and would be on the epic day pass.
