Hello, when I was watching a movie few days ago, I noticed that the internal keyboard suddenly stopped working, after a short while the touchpad stopped responding as well. I reset my pc and reinstalled windows 11, nothing changed. I reinstalled drivers, nothing happened either. The odd thing is, both the touchpad and keyboard are working in Bios. The only thing to make it work in windows is: When turning on the computer I hold down on the on button for 10 seconds and it magically starts working for a few hours, but it stops responding out of the blue again after a few hours.

My friend, "J", has 4 kids and the oldest asked why her dad doesn't love her while we were shopping today. Her dad has been emotionally unavailable since day one and now I see it's affected the oldest which is turning 11 soon. J works 40 hours a week and the father doesn't work. I don't know why but because they had 4 kids, he was the parent that stayed home. The kids are all school age now but he still doesn't work, and it seems like he doesn't take any interest in his kids lives either, to the point where the oldest is internalizing it. The oldest has been acting out in school and has a below kindergarten reading level. J suffers from severe ADHD and dissociation, and I see it passed on in every single one of her kids but she refuses to take them to a doctor about it.
I'm concerned for their well-being because they aren't thriving, but they aren't starving, being beaten, or being exploited so I don't think it warrants a wellness check with authorities but I'm just so stuck because I want to help but I'm stuck between it's not my business and ok this is a problem I can't ignore. What should I do?

2024.11.25 04:48 thirstybookgirl We need to talk about When the Moon Hatched
I just need to say that have been putting off this book for a whole year because I’ve heard soooo many people say that the pacing is off, the language is too flowery, the plot is boring- but I’m 40% through and this is one of the best books I’ve ever read. I haven’t felt this emotionally drawn to a character since I finished Red Rising.
I don’t find the language exceptionally flowery, it reminds me of SJM in Kingdom of Ash.
I don’t find the pacing off, everything that’s been written serves to emotionally connect you to Raeve and it does its job exceptionally. I haven’t cried over a book in a long while.
In short, if you’re like me and you were put off by negative reviews then give it a shot anyway. This world building is fabulous and I love the language. I can see why the fmc might piss some people off some this sub seems to really hate the attitudey type of girl lately, but I love her.

I've had telepathy for 8 years I don't know if the whole real world can hear my thoughts or it's just my hometown, Country or the places I travel. The real world has said it is the whole world that can hear but then it changes. I have another world from a parallel universe in my head and they say that the whole other world can hear my thoughts. I can hear through white noise but I also can hear when it's quiet as well. I have had visions of my family getting murdered when it first started and a few years later. They have said the whole world has been murdered and have had to kill themselves before but they get brought back to life. I have just had a supernatural experience where I got possessed by people some were from America and the UK and other's were from where I live. They spoke out of my mouth and could control my hands. A lot of people around me were being murdered because of me and my telepathy and then they were being resurrected. I don't understand why people are getting murdered because of me and how to make everything stop and why I haven't been murdered yet.

It doesn’t look shiny and clean.. just appears like there is a cloud i cannot get past. Attached photo shows after floors have been cleaned and the steaks of clean shown have always existed from previous home owners… what can i use to get this to look and feel clean? I’ve vacuumed, used bona hardwood cleaner with sweeper, and have tried steam cleaner. The look still appears to be the same cloudy finish. Has anyone else had this issue and if so, what did you do to clean it so floors look clean and shiny? 2024.11.25 04:48 He-rtlyght A player keeps “suggesting” what I should do for my character and it’s starting to get annoying.
I recently joined a table about to start a Strixhaven campaign that’s been mostly fine except for one person. This person has exclusively talked to me to suggest actions or decisions I should take for my character, or to question my decision making.
It started with them making some uncomfortable questions about the “breeding period” for my character’s race when I mentioned he had a bunch of siblings really close in age to himself. Then after we had done character creation I mentioned that I was a little frustrated over having to put a bunch of focus on INT to avoid failing exams and then they started talking about how my character could manipulate people to help him study since he was a Fighter at a mostly Wizard school, or how maybe he should be a bad boy type, or how someone in a less fortunate situation might take pity on him and help him.
They’ve kept making similar remarks and after telling them I found it a little rude for them to exclusively give me suggestions on changes I should make before the game even started, they went off on a tangent about how I wanted to be heard but not helped (when I didn’t ask for help in the first place in the first place). I don’t feel comfortable playing in the group, and I also spoke to the DM and he said he’d take care of it but I’m still a bit worried about what the other player will say if we continue to play in the same group after this.
