The sub is, understandably, flooded with posts telling about how bad this job is. How many of you out there are loving it? I would do this all my life, of that's possible. Tell me why you feel the same way, if you do!
Personally, I love the freedom. No more being stuck to the same countedesk/kitchen for four to eight hours at my other jobs. No nazi-level loss of autonomy and staring at the clock to leave. No boss hovering over me. No social obligations to customers beyond simple pickups and handoffs. No telling me I can't have water or food. No telling me I can't sit down or stop. No catastrophic consequences for needing or wanting time off. I don't need to ask permission to do so either!
No schedule obligations. No payday to wait for. I get to ride my bicycle all day long. DID I MENTION I GET TO KEEP MY AUTONOMY. The worst thing that can happen at this job is rain and that's what rain suits are for. The worst day at this job is far better than the best day at (pick a retail job), honestly.
I'm not expecting it to last forever but it's really nice not being a corporate pawn right now. No disrespect to those who are stuck in those places, I hope they get out soon. I don't know how I'm gonna go back to that someday.

2024.11.25 04:42 hazelmoch Tips for 2 hour GTT
I am in BC Canada. I tried to have the 2 hr test right off the bat as I have a high amount of type 2 diabetes in my family. I don't know if it was the fasting, the texture, the taste, but i could barely even get 1/4 of the liquid down before puking.
My dr then said try 1 hour non fasting. Even that was difficult, I think they actually gave me 10 minutes to drink it because I was literally tearing up and crying and trying not to puke. I failed that one with a score of 168.
Now I have to do the 2 hour one again. I am having SO much anxiety about it but want to do what's best for the baby. Any tips to not puke? It's already cold and orange flavored. I plugged my nose. I thought about asking for some serious antinausea pills and maybe to take an anxiety pill? Now a lot of it is in my head. Maybe a straw?
I dont want to projectile vomit all over the hallway waiting room.

Swifties are incredibly dumb and will buy literally anything Taylor releases. I've seen people buy entire collections and spend hundreds - even thousands - of dollars on her subpar merch...just a few days ago, I saw someone admit to having a separate savings account just for Taylor merch. They said they drained it to buy three of the guitars that were recently sold...they were $400 each, unsigned, and were plastered with pictures of her. And the kicker? They were only going to display them!
While I do like Taylor's music (mostly her older stuff), I will admit that many of her songs lack talent and good lyricism. TTPD came off as absolutely ridiculous to me..."I'm just SO tortured because I'm a billionaire who keeps picking men that everyone knows are bad!"
The allusions to psychiatric wards was a slap in the face to people who have actually experienced pain. Like dragging Lana Del Rey onto the Grammy stage last year - someone who has actually gone through shit - was insane behavior and borderline bullying. I'm not trying to completely diminish whatever heartache Taylor has felt, but it comes off as disingenuous to me. Her continuously tearing up at concerts from fans' reactions also comes off as disingenuous, and it's worse the longer she continues to do it. And don't even get me started on her inability to get tf over the Kimye shit.
Do I think Taylor deserves all the hate she gets? Yes and no. She's cringe, but she's famous for a reason. That isn't to say that I don't think she's kind of a shit person (her actions speak louder than words). She's probably the only person I can separate the art from the artist on, though. But lord, she is unethical and narcissistic lmfao.

Hello all! I have a twin bed and my bed frame is made of metal. I got it off of amazon and i put it together myself. Several months ago I guess the middle slat broke and now there is a ~6ā gap between the slats in the middle. My 2 ikea mattresses keeps sinking between these slats and itās giving me immense back pain. I fix it when I can but it always goes back. Any advice on what I can do to fix this without having to buy new mattresses or a new bed

Use it or lose it? Does this apply here? You get morning wood, and random boners. But i never get completely full erections while on SR. And part of me thinks.... this could be bad?
So usually every 2 or 3 days i intentionally direct my energy there to get a complete erection, then i just go on with my day.
Does anyone else do the same?

First off, let me say that I know this is just a show, and getting this annoyed with the characters might seem silly because, in reality, they aren't real. However, I haven't experienced such intense emotions while watching a series in a long time. I believe this is because I've faced some very traumatic events in my life, particularly dealing with the death of loved ones. I connected with some characters and resonated with their reactions and emotions in certain events.
I am halfway through season 3, and ugh!!! People's reactions when Tabitha comes back are infuriating. I can understand their frustration, fear, and anger, but at the same time, I want to scream at some of these people, āIf you want to run into the woods and save the whole town, then go ahead. Instead of listening, then thereās the door! Bye.ā
I found myself so yelling at Tabitha- Girl!! Tell them how your thinking and reasoning became so distorted because, I don't know, you've been living in a town you can't escape from with monsters that come out at night and eat people.
I don't knowāthis might be a stupid post, but none of my friends have watched it, and I needed to vent somewhere, lol.

On Friday I had my first and I pray my last episode of anaphylaxis due to taking medication that I am allergic too, didn't know I was until after the fact. After leaving the ER I felt fine. But yesterday my chest felt heavy and I noticed I would get tired pretty quick. No appetite but I drank a coke and ate soup, after late I my stomach felt hot but nothing horrible. Today being day two, chest still feels heavy, tired easily but now I drank a some soda and my ears feel like they're swelling. Dark pop did this nothing abnormal happened after I drank some sprite or water or even coffee. I am taking Pepcin twice a day and Benadryl every 6 hours. My questions are, is this normal ? How long after my episode will I begin to feel "Normal"?
