Hola este es mi primer post literalmente en reddit. No se si las nuevas personas que empiezan a estudiar programacion saltan la parte de la teoria o nunca vieron logica de programacion o algoritmos por que veo que dicen que Java,PHP, .Net o los lenguajes que son de tipado fuerte son mas dificiles que JS o Python solo por el echo de tener que respertar el tipo de dato o por el tipo de sintaxis que es escribir un poco mas y hoy en dia con ctrl + espacio te autocompleta todo el IDE o editor.
No importa el lenguaje ya que un condicional if o un ciclo fowhile/dowhile funciona exactamente igual. Yo solo me especializo en Java pero el otro dia tuve que tocar React y php y solo fue ver un poco de sintaxis para poder refactorizar codigo
Por ultimo solo estudie en la secundaria con algoritmos y qbasic teniendo el famoso codigo spageti o como se escriba y ya saben como es leer ese tipo de codigo

I have asymptomatic flat feet could I go 18x or not? I talked to my recruiter and he said it could complicate things. I’m diagnosed (I think) flat feet, plus I’ve been prescribed orthotics but I don’t need to wear them, my feet are asymptomatic and I function fine. My only other concern is getting in the right shape to try out but I want to get the clear cut answer, even if I can’t join up because of my personal health, anyways thanks!

Rhetorical versus Practical Rights
In the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson speaks both rhetorically and practically about rights:

When Jefferson speaks of men being “endowed by their Creator” with certain rights, he is speaking rhetorically. The purpose of rhetoric is to win people over to your viewpoint, often by appealing to their emotions. But, at the time of the American Revolution, the opposite side could equally argue the “divine right of kings”. The problem with this rhetorical position is that it would require the Creator to come down and settle the matter. He didn’t, and war ensued.
The same may be said when people speak of “natural rights” or “inherent rights”. There are no objective criteria to determine the “naturalness” or the “inherentness” of a given right. Such claims are rhetorical assertions.
Practical Rights
In the second part of the Jefferson’s statement, he addresses rights from a practical view: “to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed”.
All practical rights arise by agreement. We agree to respect and protect certain rights for each other. For example, we agree to a right to property. We respect this right by not stealing from each other. We protect this right by passing laws against theft, establishing a system of justice to enforce these laws, and, most important, by calling the police if we see someone breaking into our neighbors house while he’s away.
Rather than just a rhetorical claim to a right, we now have both the means of reaching further agreements by legislation, and a practical mechanism to deal with those who would infringe. Rules and rights are two sides of the same coin.
The Problem of Reaching Agreement
We can measure, in a general sense, the moral value of a right. Consider the recently added right of two people of the same sex to marry. We can ask ourselves, “What are the consequences if we agree to respect and protect this right for everyone? What benefits and harms will follow? Will we all be better off adopting this right and creating a rule to protect it? Assessing consequences in terms of the benefits and harms for everyone, is called moral judgment.
Because none of us has a “God’s eye view” of the ultimate outcome of our choices, it is possible for two good and honest persons to disagree about what a right or rule should be. The best we can do to resolve differences is to gather the best information, consider different options, make our best estimates of the benefits and harms of each option, and then vote democratically. This establishes the working rule we put into effect.
After some experience with the rule, we will have better information and may alter or remove the rule. Sometimes rights and rules change because our moral judgment evolves. There once was a legal right to own slaves, protected by laws requiring the return of runaways. Now the right of every person to be free is protected by laws against slavery.
Law and Conscience
The moral judgment of society may also differ from the moral judgment of our conscience. We answer to both. Conscience often leads us to advocate a new law or work to repeal a bad one. In some cases, the judgment of conscience will find a law so egregious that the person must choose not to comply. Before slavery was abolished, many people broke the law by helping fugitive slaves escape. And conscience compelled many Germans to hide Jewish citizens in their homes in Nazi Germany.
Sometimes law accommodates conscience. People with a religious belief, that they must never kill anyone, not even in war, were classified “conscientious objector” in past wars, and given other duties that did not require carrying a gun.
Conclusion
So that is where rights come from. They come from us using moral judgment to decide what rights will benefit us all and which rules will best protect them. As our moral sense evolves, rights and rules may change, but hopefully always toward a more perfect good for everyone.

I'm feeling so lonely right now. I'm young and don't have any friends. I feel like shit. Everyday I constantly find myself doing things alone. I love to make music and I love to draw, but I'd also love to socialize with other people. But I can't, there's no one in my neighborhood that's my age. I'm homeschooled because I had to get taken into school because I kept getting bullied. I didn't want to leave because I found some friends there. I had a small friend group. And I want friends again. I scroll on YouTube and I see people with their friends doing things, laughing having fun, and other activities, but here I sit by myself, lonely, watching other people having fun because I can't get any. It just makes me so incredibly sad and depressed. I had another chat app which Reddit won't let me name. But it starts with a D. My mom made me delete it after she saw a questionable chat section. But I had friends on there, that I could relate to. But they weren't friends in real life and I still was depressed when I had that app. I want friends in real life that I can talk to that I can see. And I can't get any of that. I just feel so horrible. I wish I didn't have this stupid aspergers.

I am seeking advice for someone else-
They have been living in a subpar basement suite in Alberta for almost 6 months.
The issues include:
-consistently broken showetoilet in the only bathroom they have permission to use in the house.
Both have been to the point of basically inoperable for 10 days now with barely anything done about it, especially not with urgency. The toilet will not flush.
The shower will not drain; to the point to where it was communicated to him that the shower was deemed completely unusable. That was on Nov 15th. It is still unusable to this day.
also should be noted this is a shared bathroom on the same basement level, but all of the other residents in the house have permission to use the other bathrooms except for him.
-there is no stove/oven. He was provided an air fryer, and a full sized fridge and dishwasher. Unsure if it’s Alberta regulation that there must be a real stove/oven as well.
-he is supposed to have his own private area of the basement, but the laundry machine and dryer are directly in front of his room and the landlord does laundry routinely at 4am. This also means anytime someone needs to do laundry, they are walking through my friends rented area. Essentially meaning they do not actually get any privacy, even in what’s not supposed to be a shared area.
-my friends lease is up on Jan 1st. The landlord has been harassing them almost daily to decide if he’s going to stay, give his move out notice- SINCE NOV 10th. That’s just ridiculous.
Also another thing that’s not really any help but;
the lease that they wrote out for my friend to sign was ridiculous. Strict rules about needing to ask for permission ~2 days in advanced~ if he would like to have someone over. Even just for a few hours. To his private paid for rented area. But that’s besides the point. He signed it so he agreed to those insane terms.
Obviously he is getting out of there when his lease is up. But at this point, I feel like he could even potentially try to threaten them with a report to 311 for having an unfit rental unit, and see if they give him a credit for part of his rent for this last month, considering the place is not even up to legal living standards.
Do you recommend that he just cuts his losses and doesn’t cause a scene? Or would it potentially benefit him to try? They have also treated him pretty badly, with a lot of racist attitude and behaviors, so it’s hard not to want to fight back honestly…
