Hey everyone,
Just started up a guild in memory of my late brother. He absolutely loved this game and helping people out. He and I have run guilds, joined to help guilds progress, ran pugs, etc all to help other people get geared because we just loved playing the game. I would like to continue that legacy to honor him. The guild is located on Area 52 Alliance (don't ask how I landed up on this server, i dont even remember what brought him and i here. we have been on so many servers over the years). I enjoy raiding, running heroics/mythics, and pvp. I have no set plans to set a schedule. Hopefully we can have more than enough people and can "pug" within our own guild to run things. Will be looking into setting up a discord for people to hang out.
The only "official" rank in the guild will be Officers and this will just be to help run things, manage the bank, and keep drama down. The ranks below are just to easily advertise what your interests are as a baseline and will all have the same privileges.

I chose two films I thought would be really good to compare because they're so similar but now that I'm writing my script I'm realizing that even though they were released in 2004 and 2024, they were both set in the 90s in an extremely similar setting... so similar in fact that the geographical, historical, technological, political, and economical contexts are nearly identical, and the only one I can really compare is social.
If it helps with advice, the films I chose were Mysterious Skin (2004) and I Saw The TV Glow (2024).
What should I do? Should I change my second film (I want to keep Mysterious Skin), or should I go through with it anyways? There's some political and historical context details I can compare (specifically with the bit in Mysterious Skin where Neil is in NYC), but they feel really minor in comparison to social context, and I feel like I have too much comparing and not enough contrasting.
I am not asking for recommendations on what my second film should be.

It has very little interactions except iirc you can type in text to "talk" to them. Very early version of AI. Asking my dad about it he remembers it being called Otto's World but I can't find any reference to that online. I mostly remember wandering around the world and you can see the alien/cat people interacting with the environment and eachother.

Just a thought, why do magic exist in your world like how did it come to that level and stage? Was there a dud who accidentally made magic? Like oopsie I made a a firebolt my bad, or was it researched upon like day 47 of the oatless night I still can't create oats from this blasted grains of sand I hope my research bear fruit soon for I cannot bare this oatlessness anymore. And how did it evolved or will it or will not? Was it always a fire ball at the size of a basketball or was it a size of a fist and someone improved it.
Just needs some thoughts on the evolution and progress and or history of magic. Is it also integrated in daily life or is it only used for extreme cases
