2024.11.25 05:09 vaultie66 Can litter box smell alone indicate UTI?
We have three cats, the youngest one is about 2-3 years old and has been with us for a year. She has her own litter box/food/water and doesn’t share with the other two. About a month or two ago I’ve noticed her litter box suddenly getting a lot stronger smell than usual, my husband says he can’t smell it but I definitely can. Sometimes I smell the other litter boxes but not as much as hers. She doesn’t behave strangely, she eats and drinks water normally and uses her litter box normally it’s mainly the smell that is bothering me. I clean the boxes every day and wash them about monthly/4 weeks time so they’re not stale.
She’s due for her annual shots soon should I ask for a UTI test? Is it invasive for a small cat (she’s significantly smaller than the other two cats) or is it normal to do if you’re suspicious and cat doesn’t really seem sick or bothered?
I’ve also tried the odor crystals (fresh step) and it doesn’t really help.

Hi, my dad recently got a Samsung s24 (Oct 26th, 2024) and ever since, my messages (I have an iPhone) are delayed in sending to him and now his RCS chat just won't work? If he tries to send a message with RCS, it'll either not deliver right away or take a very long time to send. He can send messages fine with SMS Text but when it comes to RCS, it just won't work. I've factory reset his phone and it worked for a minute and stopped. I just stumped on what to do.
Any advice/help will be greatly appreciated !

Anybody continued to have casual sex with ex anLost my job at the same moment at broked up with ex.
Ex contacted me last week afyer she broke up with her reboundand and we had sex 3 times already.
She is in substance abuse recovery (adderall). Beside that I really appreciate her. And the sex is crazy.
Any of you ended up still meeting someone else while still having their ex in the area?
The sex with ex gives me confidence and focus in general especially for my new stressful job i started last week.
She told me she's knows we cannot workout but she enjoys my presence. Also she is in recovery so her main focus is on her recovery.
I still go out 2 3 times a week to do fun stuff like social dancing or social events without my ex.
What do you think?

Hi everyone! Two months ago I was in Shanghai because I won a scholarship to study Chinese. I was a little bit scared of it because I was going to be in another continent by myself. After 33 hours of flight I reach Shanghai and airline lost one of my suitcases. I started crying, no one were even trying to understand what I was saying, I didn’t have internet connection yet so I couldn’t tell my family that I was safe. Well, finally I was sick because I had been 5 hours in the airport claiming for my suitcase until I was so tired of not eating, waking all around the airport trying to solve the problem that no one seems to care. UNTIL i started crying so bad because I didn’t know what else to do. So a Chinese worker of an insurance company saw me and help me to solve this. In the airline they were like “oh no, you have to talk with X person”, when I reach that person they said “you have to talk with Y person” and that in an infinite loop. But this man said EVERYTHING but really mad and after that I have my suitcase. So my advice is that first of all you should talk Chinese and then raise your voice. I was so ashamed of crying but when the woman saw that I was having attention because of my crying then they found my suitcase. I had such a BEAUTIFUL experience in China but I also learned a lot how things are done and how to handle this difficult moments. My advice is: you always are going to find someone that can help you but you have to speak up a little bit (for those who are kind of shy like me)

Looking for advice on fellowship versus jumping straight into a position post graduation.
To my surprise, I am wrapping up my IM rotation (nocturnist at a decent sized regional hospital) and I LOVE it. I never saw myself in this specialty previously. Now I am wondering what the best path is for me post graduation.
I am looking at fellowships online and they’re appealing to me. I like that a lot of them have you rotate through a lot of different specialties that I feel I didn’t get adequate exposure to in clinical year. I also tend to struggle with confidence and imposter syndrome, so I think an extra year of training might do my mental health a lot of good. Luckily for me, I will be graduating with fairly minimal debt (<20k) so I feel I can handle a lower salary for a year although ofc this is the major drawback.
Being realistic, how easy or not easy is it to secure a job as a hospitalist (preferably nocturnist) as a new grad? Is it a huge learning curve?
For those who have done fellowships, are you glad you did? After completion, are you likely to get higher compensation in the future because of completing a fellowship?
