There is this boy who is in my science and gym class and ever since school started, his personality really intrigued me. He is smart, respectful and really funny too being able to make all of our teachers laugh.
We have never really spoken to each other but we always meet by coincidence for example we walked by each other on halloween and both of us took a double take, we got seated together in science, we got paired up to take down volleyball nets, partnered together in games, sitting next to each other in the library while studying for our tests, standing next to each other while waiting for our friends to be dismissed, random things like that.
The problem is, as much as i like him i know im not his type. He is from India and is sikh so he wears a turban and kara. Me however i am very asian i look like a stereotypical shoujo girl. I did not see a problem with this but when i told my friends about my crush(my friends are all Indian) they told me that we wouldn’t look good together because they said he would only look good dating Indian girls and how Indian boys tend to only date within their race.
Is race really that important? Should I give up on my crush before I even try to pursue him?

From the start, I was just thrown into the SCA role at Burlington with little to no training. I was fine last week, but this week has been completely different. Nobody properly trained me, and I’ve just been figuring things out as I go. Other associates in similar positions either take over my tasks or update me after my shift, but nothing feels organized or consistent.
For example, today I was told I must always have a radio, but last week, someone else told me it wasn’t necessary. Now I’ve learned I’m supposed to check in with a manager daily, but no one mentioned that before either. To make things more confusing, there’s apparently a daily audit I’m supposed complete . How long is this going to last? A month? Two months? Do I really need to do this every day?
Then there’s the patrol aspect of my role. When buzzers or alarms go off, I’m supposed to respond, but the instructions for that were vague at best. It’s either boring or incredibly busy—there’s no in-between. Plus, one MOD (Manager on Duty) makes the situation worse. His overly aggressive, almost military demeanor is intimidating. As a part-timer, I don’t appreciate being made to feel so low. It’s not my fault I haven’t been trained properly or that communication here is so poor.

This week I really didn't go over much material since I've been sick for the last 4-5 days. However, I definitely learned my lesson regarding proper code documentation on Quest 8. I was stuck on the last 2 mini-quests and it wasn't until I went through and documented everything did I learn how I needed to restructure my code. That was probably the most important lesson for me, sometimes being lazy makes your life more difficult when you're coding.

Im 27. Never been in a long term relationship until this. He broke up with me. I wasn't happy either in the relationship. He's lazy. He doesn't brush his teeth. He doesn't change his clothes frequently. He still is a little boy having slumber parties with his buddies and smoking. He put that over seeing me. He would be two hours late on dates. Our intimacy was non-existent. He did spoil me by taking me on dates and buying me stuff. We had some good memories. We went to our first concert and he took me to Build A Bear which was a childhood dream of mine. But my mom died and her final wish for me was to fall in love. He told me he loved me and the broke my heart. I thought I had to settle because I thought no one else would love me. Why do I still find myself hurting and upset over someone like this? I have a new date coming up and want to move on to make this work. How do I move on? I know he's toxic and not worth my time but I don't understand myself and why I feel upset over the breakup.

Hi everyone. I am thinking of starting an online business which involves importing consumable items from South Asian Countries and selling it online here in the US. The opportunity seems good because I have friends who are already selling these products locally and doing well, so I want to expand their market base by importing the product in US. Since their product is selling well and the brand is well established locally, I am thinking of using the same brand name here and doing a partnership where I get a percentage of revenue/ profit of goods sold in US. The product is a natural supplement for men’s health (the said product is not regulated by FDA). They are currently selling a single product but are working on adding more products of the same sort. We are all set for this project and want to test the waters in US. The thing is, I have basically zero experience of running a business here in US and importing items to sell them online. Just to see if the idea works, I want to start off as a sole proprietor, import a small quantity of the said product (worth less than $800) and test it by running ads on different platforms like instagram, tiktok etc. I have been advised against a sole proprietor considering it’s a consumable and may be subject to liabilities but I want to test it first before opening a LLC. I am currently residing in California and even if I sell the products online, I think I will still have to pay the $800 franchise fee since I am importing the product, storing and shipping it from CA, which I don’t want to do before testing the product by running ads etc. Also, I am pretty confused about how to import the product here, get it cleared from Customs and basically make it ready to be sold here. I tried reaching out to a few custom agents and supply chain solutions but have not received any substantial responses. I was hoping if someone here has experienced something similar and could maybe provide guidance on how to go about this whole thing, it would be super helpful! I guess the main confusions are: 1) Sole proprietor vs LLC initially in CA 2) Basics of importing a product here in US and performing all necessary steps in order to make the product ready to be sold online 3) Any other important considerations I should be thinking about before starting this business.
