 | I’m a huge chess fan, and a while ago, I started looking for something a little different – a set that would be durable, portable, and unique in its design. Since I enjoy tinkering and working with my hands, I decided to experiment with various materials. After a few trials, I ended up creating a chess set made entirely from stainless steel nuts and bolts. Each piece is crafted by combining standard metal hardware, and the finish is achieved through a galvanization process. This makes the colors exceptionally durable and resistant to scratches. The board is equally unconventional – it’s made from a sheet of stainless steel with rubber-protected edges, so it stays stable on any surface. I wanted to ask what you think of this approach to designing a chess set. Would you see it more as a collector’s item, or as a practical set for regular play? Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 2024.11.25 08:00 hayfass1749 AITAH for not opening up to my boyfriend when he asks me if something is wrong?
A little context first. He lives with quite a few people, me and him also garden 🍃 every time we hangout. He will even smoke before we hangout most the time. We will be outside on the porch having a conversation and then one of his friends will come outside to garden with us. He then gets distracted and says hi to his friend and then will look back at me. Once he does usually the person who comes outside will say something to him before I can say anything he will switch his attention to his friend and will talk to them for about 10+ minutes. Then most the time he won’t start our conversation up again. After that I just get kinda sad and won’t talk as much. He ends up asking me what’s wrong and I just say nothing and smile then he won’t ask again. But he will do this if we are together, on FaceTime and sometimes he will even be the person to start that conversation with his friend. Should I have told him whats wrong? And if so how should I go about telling him? He’s very sweet and caring and i don’t want to make a big deal out of this since we have only been dating for a few months and havnt had any issues come up yet. Also I’m pretty sure he just stops our conversation and then forgets about it bc of the 🍃 so I’ll feel kinda dumb if that’s what he says it’s because of.

hi! I got my septum pierced on the 22nd, and I'm concerned about my jewelry. they put in a retainer, and I'm extremely paranoid about it falling out when I sleep, as I had to adjust it twice now because it was at risk of that.
should I just go back in and ask for a typical horseshoe or something? I'm concerned as this is my first piercing ever... could I just use like pliers or something to sort of close it more? make it a bit tighter?

Hi! I work with sound professionally, game audio. I've always used my trusty AKG K702 which I really like however for several reasons I need to switch (or at least use 80% of the time) to closed-backs. I thought that my next upgrade would be Audeze LCD XC, but I can't really justify this purchase right now. So I'm choosing between the ones in the title and would really like to hear your opinion. I use Realphones for frequency response correction and some subtle studio environment emulation.
By the way, I know about Rode being extremely fragile near the earcups but I've done my research and apparently they've fixed the issue in the latest versions. Plus they also provide a good warranty plan for all the users.

First of all, I’m so sorry for the super long post. I really appreciate you taking the time to read it, and thank you SO much for your help, it means a lot !!
So here it goes.
A few months ago, I met a boy who in all honesty seemed promising. He was even the first boy ever to meet my family, but he recently started being distant. When I addressed it, he said he felt no connection and it’s because I wasn’t letting him in. I said I’m sorry and I told him that if he had communicated his needs better, I would’ve tried harder. Since he said he felt nothing, I suggested that we should cut ties, but he was against the idea and said he doesn’t want me out of his life.
Last week he kept hinting at hanging out again and last Saturday he finally asked me to hang out. I was at a family party, and we agreed to do it once I’m finished from the party. He told me to call him when I’m on the way just in case he accidentally falls asleep and 30 mins after he texted me that, I told him I’m going to leave. He didn’t text me back, so I tried calling him. Three times. But he never answered my calls. He texted me yesterday morning saying he’s incredibly sorry for falling asleep and that he doesn’t know what happened and proceeded to ghost me for an entire day because he went to a rave.
I honestly don’t know what to do and my friends tell me to just block him, but I really do feel something for him and If it ends I cant let it end like this so I’m at a dead end :(
