2024.11.25 08:51 Different_Main_5434 Can a storm damage a concrete slab?
 | Huge storm hit earlier in the year, bigger than any storm I’ve seen, my house went under at the lower level despite being on top of a hill. No previous water ingress since I started living here in 2018. Did heaps of work after the storm, replaced all the gutters, added new down pipes, got the drains checked and cleared of debris etc. dried out the place, was all good to go for putting some walls and floors back in. Fast forward to this week, three days of rain. Heavy, but normal. Water has started coming up through the cracks in the slab, luckily I hadn’t put new flooring in yet but I’m so confused. Is it possible that the huge storm actually did some damage to the slab or is it more likely another issue? 2024.11.25 08:51 FujoshiLemonade AIO my mother keeps messins with my stuff and my time.
It’s been give long years since my mother found out that loving stuff makes me panic to the point of vomiting, five years she’s been swapping out my clothes in the drawers, hiding my shoes, taking random stuff (even she doesn’t why she would need it), etc. These last two days I lost it, she has been closing the doors and taking the keys with her despite the fact I need to go out for work or studies, she hides my shoes in the cave and takes my money from my wallet when I’m busy, she doesn’t even use it mind you, and when I ask her why she does that she simply shrugs, today again she hid my shoes and I took a cardboard box, put every shoe in the house inside and just threw everything in front of the door, also sent her a lot of not so nice messages, am I overreacting? I even have a psychiatrist and a therapist that tried explain to her that this is not good for me, I throw up from stress sometimes when those things happen and yet she keeps doing it, and with the exam closer I don’t know how I’ll react but I don’t think I can endure debating whether it’s her right to switch out stuff in her house or whether messing with me is really what makes her day good.
Too lazy to read: mother hides stuff, despite therapist warning of effect on me, I wonder if I’m in the wrong for expecting her not to do it.
