I’m assuming this subreddit has received plenty of tourism questions and advice, and I’m hoping I can also get some help and opinions.
I’ll be visiting Germany in June/July in 2026 (yes that’s a while away but I like to be prepared and I’m super excited) with my mother and will then be visiting the beautiful country of Finland for about 5 days with a few of my relatives from Germany.
My dream Finnish holiday would be visiting up north, rural green lands, saunas followed by a jump in the ice cold waters.
I love surrounding myself in forests, basically anything outdoors. My family though, are basically the opposite - not fans of too much walking, fully equipped accomodation.
Rovaniemi looks and sounds beautiful. Helsinki seems to be a whole package - the beautiful church architecture, history, etc.
Is there anywhere you lovely Fins suggest to visit that has a bit of everything? Saunas, cold lakes, history, beautiful buildings, forests with beautiful scenic trails.
I truly appreciate any input,

Can someone explain to me (like I’m 5) why I can’t take my blood pressure meds whenever I want as long as it’s once a day? I know there is an extended release in the pills that makes it work for 24 hours and obviously if I end up taking a double dose in 24 hours my blood pressure could go lower. But I never take a double dose, I usually miss doses. Why can’t I take my nifedipine “before bed” every day and if my bedtime varies by a couple of hours then what’s the big deal?
I have adhd and depression and I have problems with executive tasks and personal care which affects how I take care of myself. I tend to forget my doses, forego doctors appointments, ignore some bodily discomfort like headaches, and all of this makes it hard to take my medicine exactly at 9 AM every single morning or whatever. I tried an alarm on my phone but the sound sends me into a panic, I turn it off, and then forget to take my medicine.
What I’ve been doing ever since I got on nifedipine is to just try to take it “in the morning.” And that can range from 7 AM to 11AM. Whenever I remember or get to it basically in that time. And I’ve also missed many many doses, sometimes gone days and even weeks forgetting to take it. When I remember I just try to go back on track.
How harmful is this because at this point I can’t really do much about it and I’m just hoping it’s kind of fine and the medicine might still be working even though I’m off by a couple hours most of the time or if I forget to take it for a few days.
I also just kind of want to stop taking it altogether and see what happens.
