Nothing I'm about to say is, in the grand scheme of things, important.
Now that we've got that out of the way:
If there's one thing that really bugs me in fashion writing - magazine articles, social media posts, descriptions of clothing in shopping apps and online stores - it's when people describe pants as "a pant."
"Pants," like "scissors" or "binoculars" or "pliers," is a plurale tantum, or a noun which always sounds like a plural despite referring to a single item. Nobody says "please pass on my congratulation," or "I hope burglars don't break in and steal our valuable."
So no, I don't want to buy a "camel pant." That's not an item of clothing, it's something a camel does when it's thirsty.
And while I'm complaining, if I want to buy a fancy top or a nice jumper, don't tell me to "wear it back with a pant," or "pair it back with a jean." You really don't need to put the word "back" after the phrase "wear it" unless you're planning to do something unusual like wear an outfit during a long walk to somewhere and then wear the same outfit all the way "back" to the place you set out from.

I play on Xbox Series S and have been dealing with an issue where my screen is stuck on the red loading circle. I'll wait like 10 mins and still won't be able to get into the game. I was wondering if anyone else was encountering this bug and if they know ways to fix it. (I've deleted and redownloaded the game around 5 times). I haven't been able to play for about 2-3 months because of this.

2024.11.25 09:40 Bern_Down_the_DNC How do I go from long to short with zero skill?
Long hair doesn't really work well for me, so need to go short again. Deciding between the Wahl Senior and the R77F. I have experience fading side burns and that's about all. I want to go about it in a way where I can drive to the barber and have them fix it in a worst case scenario. I wanted to try going longer than 1 inch on the top, and I read there is a number 10 guard that might work well enough since I have thin and straight hair. So should I start off by just going at it with the clippers, or should I cut it down to like 2 inches with scissors first? My concern is if I try to do it with scissors that I might go too short, especially on the back of my head. I will probably be trying to see the back of my head with a 1080p webcam and laptop setup, which I used to clean up my neck and ears during the time I had my hair grown out.
Once I have my hair short enough, the plan is to do the guidelines about an inch above the ear, curving slightly down towards the back towards the occipital ridge bump. Then doing another guideline above that, then trying to flick at the line with the lever half open.
After that I know I am supposed to part the hair on the sides by finding the peak of my eyebrow (right where it starts going down) then going straight up from there, then parting horizontal towards the back of the head. This is where it starts getting confusing, because I don't really think I have a natural part anywhere on either side, and I'm not sure how to deal with the back of the head... like is the part supposed to continue all the way around or what?

Just going through a bit of psychosis from starting a new job and being in a room full of ppl who I think are disgusted with my existence. It has me really feeling like…wow does anyone actually NOT HATE on this planet?
I have a my family but they talk shit about me constantly to eachother and don’t accept me for being A LOT of “alternative” things (queer, trans, neurodivergent, not a Christian). I just feel so alone and honestly constantly feel like unaliving myself.
I do have this thought tho that if I just try hard enough to fully love myself (instead of waiting for permission from others like my family to love the fucked up parts of me).
It’s so easy to say, and I tried to just embody that energy when I went back into my job in a room full of people, but my body just felt like it was under attack and surveillance.
I really do what to do….

Is there any list or website anywhere that has everything as far as grants, schemes or otherwise people are entitled to or should look at applying for when trying to get a mortgage/buy a home?
I'm 29m looking to move out of the family home but it just seems like ill be here forever because house prices keep going up and up and I don't fancy renting at this stage it feels like I should nearly be looking at a forever home. Buy once and done.

Je vais avoir 1an de permis A2 dans 1 mois. Autant vous dire que je commence a regarder les motos fulls avec envie.
Alors je ne sais pas si on considère ça comme de la tromperie car j'adore ma Ninja 400, mais le hurlement du 4 cylindre quand même...
Est-ce dès que vous avez eu la passerelle vous avez changé de bécane ? Et surtout vous avez pris quoi ? D'occasion ou neuf ?
Je ne sais pas combien je pourrais vendre ma bécane, elle est tombée une fois et même si j'ai tout réparé ma béquille a le pieds un peu frotté car je stationne partout et sur le pot d'échappement (je roule beaucoup et a la campagne). Je remettrai le pot sûrement au moment de vendre. Mais j'espère bien récupérer 3000€.
