2024.11.25 10:20 Fit-Gas-1956 Why do I ghost everybody in my life???
A few months ago I started trying to let my friends know when I needed support. I’ve never been good at this by the way, I usually bottle everything up until I explode.
It was okay… I don’t know. At some point I got so tired.
I hate begging people for a singular crumb of kindness because I’m struggling. I hate struggling!
I try to focus on other peoples issues when I’m upset so I can help them and be useful, except I’m not. Eventually my problems became so mounting I had to plead for compassion. My friends couldn’t give me that, so I ghosted all of them and kind of went crazy... I went off the grid and completely removed all my social medias.
When I look for advice online, it usually says you’ve got to confront people about going no contact and trying to be as upfront as possible.
I swear to you… I am trying to be a good person, I’m trying to use all the advice, but I just can’t. I’m so mentally fatigued by even the concept, it makes me break down mad.
My friend and I got in an argument before I left, and I used ALL the advice I got online. I gave them a listening ear, I apologized, I gave them space. Then, they went to shit talk about me to their friends. God!!! I cracked! I just can’t handle anything lately and it really drives me mad!
Ghosting feels like the ONLY option. I feel awful. I shouldn’t have done it. I shouldn’t do it to people. I feel unheard and exhausted even when I’m trying. What have I not tried yet? Why am I always in another snafu? I’m stressed by my action and inaction simultaneously.

Found this tool echodocs that converts technical discussions into proper documentation. Saves both teams time - no more "wait, let me write this down" every 2 minutes.
New team gets searchable docs with all the gotchas, architecture decisions, and implementation details. Old team doesn't spend days writing handover docs.
Three projects transferred this way already. Works better than my previous method of coffee-powered documentation sprints.
