Im pretty new to vulkan so Im currently following this tutorial and this also youtube tutorial. However, Im using hyprland on wayland and arch linux and after running the same code (I copied) I cant not see any new windows open. I dont think there are any problems with their code but rather than I dont know that there are some special requirements with my system tho. Thank you for your helps!

2024.11.25 10:25 dbca_engineering Transiting airports with my pet cat: Non-EU -> EU -> Non-EU, is a titer test required?
I adopted a street cat in a non-EU country (considered high risk for rabies by the EU), got her a microchip, rabies and combination vaccines as well as anti-parasitic treatments, and now she has a pet passport. Before flying we'll have an official health certificate from the government, too.
I understand that a titer test to confirm rabies antibodies is needed to enter the EU with my cat, but I have no intention of doing that. I'm on my way to Latin America to a country that does NOT require a titer test to enter, only the aforementioned documents. But there are no direct flights, only ones that transit one or another EU country (mostly Spain).
So my question is, does the cat need a titer test for a layover in an EU airport? Does it matter if the tickets are booked together or separately ("self-transfer")?
Please only respond if you have first-hand experience with a similar situation. I would not "risk it" if there were any other option, but for visa reasons there is no other option. It is impossible to get the titer test done in time.

I started writing a Xaden's POV fanfic (the whole book, not just certain chapters.) And I'm almost done. I decided to start a dragons POV.. from Conscription Day in the courtyard.. then Presentation Day, Threshing... and so on.
My question is... what would you like to see in a fanfiction when it comes to the dragons? And I plan on writing in Tairn's and Andarna's POV but really would love to introduce and get to know the other popular dragons.
Any advice on how I should go about this?
Like... What would Codagh sound like? How to they interact with each other? How to they interact with their humans? What are their diff personalities? What's their leadership like, and how does the Empyrean operate? How and why do they seek out the weak in humans? Do any of the dragons break the rules (talking to other humans, telling dragon secrets, etc)?
What do you think? I will take as much input as possible! Hopefully we can put something together worthwhile.
... I'm striving to write this to compliment FW and IF as much as possible. I have read each book about 8 times through and have adapted RY's writing style, well, I'm pretty close to it. I'm hoping these two will keep us busy until the OS release. I'll be uploading the Xaden POV after my old English professor revises it and post it here!

2024.11.25 10:25 Canadican LTN-like multi dropoff/pickup?
I started my SA playthrough last week and this is my first time in years playing without LTN... I've basically beating Vanilla, K2 ans SE using it.
I had to get accustomed again to the train limit and building stackers but with the interrupts it's quite easy to refuel at least.
One of the things I absolutely loved about my last SE playthrough with LTN was how compact you could make the blocks with stations requesting and sending multiple items at the same time.
I'm sure some clever folks have found a way to do this with the new train system and since I heard LTN wouldn't be getting any updates I figured I'd ask here since I got nowhere when fiddling with circuits around the stations.

I was employed at a company for a total of six years—four years as a permanent employee and two years as a contractor. During my time there, I encountered significant issues with my manager, who negatively impacted my mental well-being. He consistently took credit for my work, excluded me from meetings with colleagues, and once even instructed me not to speak to anyone except him.
The toxicity became unbearable, so I reported his behavior to the manager responsible for contractors. Initially, she seemed supportive, assuring me that she understood my concerns. However, shortly after, I was abruptly terminated.
I moved on, but in March 2024, I applied for a role in a different department at the same company. I was offered the job, but the offer was later rescinded due to an internal reference.
Curious, I submitted a data subject access request and discovered that the manager I reported to had lied about my character in her reference. I know this for certain because I recorded my conversations with her at the time and have evidence contradicting her claims.
While I’ve moved on from this experience, I cannot accept someone spreading falsehoods about me. I am open to constructive criticism, but I won’t tolerate lies that damage my reputation and livelihood. I can demonstrate the financial loss caused by the rescinded job offer and want to take steps to prevent further harm.
Would issuing a cease-and-desist letter be appropriate in this situation? Alternatively, is there another course of action I should consider to address this issue and ensure it doesn’t continue?

Comments I know it’s wrong and illegal to record people but I have not shown these recordings to anyone. I only recorded these conversations because I didn’t trust either of them deep down. Also, if anything like this happened these recordings would kind of save me as I can reveal the truth. I have moved on , but I want this evil cow to know she can’t do this to people !

I have been considering a setting where one of the main quirks and threats, maybe the biggest, is that rulers who attain a certain threshold of glory, renown, adoration, etc. apotheosize into minor gods. With their vastly superhuman abilities, they can lead their people to greater heights.
But a minor god can still die, whether in battle, to assassination, to mystical cataclysms, or to the most pernicious of poisons and curses. The ruler becomes a malice- and resentment-driven undead overlord. Some cling to their people maniacally and overprotectively, while others turn on their subjects due to some perceived slight, such as failure to prevent the ruler's death. This is always a dark time: wars ignite, plagues and famine strike, lesser undead rise, and reality-rifts disgorge horrors.
They vary in form: skeletons, zombies, vampires, ghosts, some in between. Twice, an apotheosized ruler entombed themselves deep beneath the earth, all "king asleep in mountain" style. One was assassinated regardless, rising up as a wraith. The other still lives, fearful of death, yet willing to aid their nation in a dire time.
Legends hold that a few of these overlords, for whatever reason, elected to simply leave the mortal world. They gathered in the Negative Energy Plane. This small circle of long-undead rulers has been concocting some scheme through which they may optimally reclaim the world that they departed from. Do they also plan on backstabbing one another? Probably.
What would you do with such a setting? Would you have the PCs start in a nation whose ruler just became one such undead? Would you have them start in a nation externally imperiled by an undead overlord: perhaps while their own nation's ruler is a still-living minor god, worried about dying? Whatever the case, I imagine that PCs could be the ones to finally unearth the source of this phenomenon and break the curse once and for all. (Of course, even a still-living great ruler can be a conquest-minded villain...)
