Im in the process of buying a house and a friend who is trying to be helpful is kicking up a fuss and worrying about the legality of the loft conversion “because it doesn’t have the paperwork” for permitted development.
My understanding is that as long as it falls within what is classified as permitted development, no paperwork is required? The house is in the London borough of Merton.
I imagine a certificate of legality should be obtained to ensure that what was built does fall under permitted development, but that’s something my solicitor should be handling?
Apologies if this is a basic question - I’m a first time buyer so going a lot off google and want to be armed with some more information when I chat to my friend next!

2024.11.25 10:30 Screen_Starer Good websites/ recommendations on how to make decision on which islands to visit?
TLDR: any YouTube, blogs, or up to date websites for recommendations and comparisons between islands in the south?
I am in Thailand for ~a month in January and whilst I know it’s going to be super busy, I’m finding it hard to make decisions about which islands to visit during the day vs. Which to stay on. I don’t want to party, I’m more after a chilled holiday/ snorkelling (not diving) and adventure. I’ve got some time places booked (including week in south Phuket) but for the last week I can’t find much up to date info on if it’s worth doing day trips or staying on islands between Phuket and Krabi, going to Krabi to be based for day trips, or going to Koh Tao/ Pha-Ngan. Any advice on which would be best for a spending time in nature and a bit of adventuring and chilling (not diving, but snorkelling) would be much appreciated. Any good websites, YouTube videos or blogs that give good up to date info??
Sorry I know this has been asked lots before, and I have read previous posts but finding all the different options and islands confusing!

2024.11.25 10:30 YTScale I (25M) desire the “single life” despite a healthy 3 year relationship.
We've been together for about three years and our relationship is very healthy. We have not had one single argument. I met her shortly after my first relationship ended, which was also three years in length, and I was only single for about three months in-between.
When I think back to some of the best days of my life it truly was that three month period of being single. I was hanging out with people every single day and I just felt super alive, super free, and youthful.
Part of me misses that excitement.. the feeling of learning about somebody new, just getting to know people and always having people that I could talk to. I also thoroughly enjoyed the attention as well.
Every so often I get this strong desire to be single again, but would feel stupid to leave what’s been a great relationship.
I feel so stuck. Any advice plz?
tl;dr - I’ve been with my gf for three years, but miss being single… I was only single for three months in the last 7 years and it was truly one of the best times of my life. My relationship feels super strong, but I desire to be single again and meet new people, make new connections, feel that excitement.

A number of doctors and health care professionals have already condemned the video. This can set a dangerous precedent on whom to give CPR. Not forgetting stealing a kiss from the person affected. Everything in the video is abomination. I’m sure RM has read some of the replies but why isn’t he taking it down? Is this backlash not enough for him?

So I am a gamer with 11k ish hours in all sorts of different games, been gaming from childhood from around '08 and I am spoiled a bit but I don't get how people are tolarting this much walking. I know the game is good but is it that good to compensate for something like 10 minutes of walking straight even on autorun ? Even if it's only early game it still seems daunting of 10 levels just walking.
Is it just a power through thing ? Because sitting there alone even listening to a podcast and running to places is very very boring and tiring to me. What am I missing please tell me because I do want to properly start playing this game at some point.
