2024.11.25 11:50 riviery Farewell, my friend
I bought my Xperia Play in 2011, and I've used it as my main phone until 2014, when I've installed my first CFW to turn it in an dedicated gaming machine. Already did a digitizer replacement, had the R button fixed, face button membranes changed, and another firmware swap to allow touchless operation, but now the display itself don't work anymore.
In a second thought I realized I even don't play on it so much, preferring to play on some other dedicated emulation devices I own, so I decided to give it as a gift to a friend who collect old devices and repair them.
Goodbye to this reliable device, probably the only one I had which lasted more than a decade.

2024.11.25 11:50 CatAmongThePigeons56 What qualities should you look for in a language tutor?
Do you have a list of criteria for what makes a good language tutor?
Considering how expensive language lessons can be when added up over time, I feel like it's important to get it right. My current tutor is nice, but I have a few problems with their classes: They speak a lot, and on complicated subjects. I'd otherwise find this interesting but I simply don't have the ability to keep up and express myself with my B1 . I say very little during lessons, which frequently run over the allotted hour.
I'm thinking I need to find someone that prompts me more to speak, that will be okay speaking about quotidian things before moving on to more advanced subjects, and that maybe sends me a text to discuss before the lesson. I also think it would be better to speak twice a week for 30 minutes.
I'd love to come back to my current tutor (when I have a better level) but I don't feel I'm quite there yet.
What's your definitive list for a good tutor? And any tips for "breaking up with" a language tutor?

2024.11.25 11:50 Due_Mushroom_7984 Poisoning of trees
I live in a forested area of Michigan. While it sounds ridiculous, my neighbor, acting on behalf of a third party, is secretly poisoning my trees. I have had entire trees cut down and “go missing.” I found one such tree dumped in a nearby natural area. Also, it seems they are targeting my evergreens as, over time, healthy conifers slowly lose their needles to the point the entire tree is dead. I have one grove of evergreens that looks like a nuclear bomb went off. Also, over time, trees get white spots and look like they have been sprayed with salt. Also, larger trees have holes drilled in the trunk, and the wood rots quickly and becomes spongy. The operation is so sophisticated they are evading at least ten trail cams I have over my property. I have noticed electric company trucks parked in the street and on my neighbor's property at least once a week for six months. I don't know how to catch them or resolve this unusual situation. How can I tell and prove my evergreens are being poisoned?

The Afghan urial (Ovis vignei cycloceros) is a subspecies of the urial, a type of wild sheep found in western and central Asia. Here are some interesting facts about this fascinating animal: 1. **Habitat*\*: Afghan urials inhabit the rugged mountainous regions of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iran. They prefer open, hilly terrain and can be found at elevations ranging from 600 to 3,600 meters (1,970 to 11,810 feet). Afghan urial 2. Females also have horns, but they are much smaller, usually less than 20 cm (8 inches) in length. Both sexes have a reddish-brown coat that turns lighter in the winter. 3. Diet: Afghan urials are herbivores, primarily feeding on grasses, herbs, and shrubs. They are well-adapted to their arid environments and can go for extended periods without water, deriving moisture from their food. 2024.11.25 11:50 ladinga101 Duktig hack help
Hi, I am planning to get a piece of wood or plywood cut to size to make a back panel for the Duktig so I can use peel and stick paper to make a nice backdrop like many people do. But, I was wondering if there is a way to attach it to make it a removable back panel so that if we wanted we could turn the kitchen round and use the window as a stall or cafe? I suppose if it is a light or thin piece of board, and the kitchen stands against a wall, possibility hook and loop could work? Or some kind of actual hook? But I am not sure how much ‘frame’ there is to work with.
Thanks for any advice!
