I am a 19 year old guy, 3 years lifting experience 225lbs. For the past half year i noticed my gains being shit so after some research i decided to start a cycle. Rn i am on 10mg of lgd and after a week of taking it i noticed after i took my pre i got heart palpitations. I panicked but after 10 minutes i was okay again, 2 days after it happend again tho and yesterday it happend again. I also get really anxious, feel a bit like throwing up and got a bit of a headache. What do you guys recommend? Should i drop my dosis down to 5mg or should i wuit completely?

I can’t stand the “first flight” and “flight see” missions. So I make a point to turn in a way that my window is closest to the view.
Or when I’m flying with a copilot or passenger and just make a god awful adjustment to the flight controls I’ll make a face at the copilot and tell them “hell of a wind up here”. I’m very lonely hahaha.

2024.11.25 14:32 Deutsche_Bank_AG Wet food is making cats sick… Are we doing the right thing?

Hoping we can get some fresh ideas, since we’re running out.
We’ve got two older cats—one is at least 15 years old and has diabetes (in remission), the other is at least 7 years old probably younger and doesn’t. No idea how old either of them actually are, we found them outside as adults.
We got the diabetic cat into remission with Fancy Feast pates. However, about 6 months ago, the Fancy Feast started making them both really sick (constant vomiting/diarrhea, but extensive vet tests all came back fine—so we figured it was an issue with Fancy Feast contamination or something, which other folks online were reporting at the time too). They stopped eating the Fancy Feast (seemed like they didn’t trust it and would only eat dry food), so we switched to Blue Buffalo pates and were good for a while. Now the same thing is happening with Blue Buffalo—it’s making them super sick (again, no identifiable issues in the older cat’s vet tests—haven’t taken the younger one in yet), and they would rather starve than eat it.
Since they are only really eating dry food, I ordered a bunch of the most diabetes-friendly dry food and some freeze dried chicken to give them. They seem fine eating that (though the older one’s appetite doesn’t seem fully back—eats like 20% of his share then leaves, but that’s better than what he was willing to eat of the wet food).
I really don’t want to mess up the older one’s remission, but I also don’t want them to starve to death. I’m not super comfortable feeding them even the diabetes-friendly dry food, but it’s all they’re willing to eat after the wet food making them repeatedly sick.
That’s where we’re at—I feel like we’re going to cause a DKA episode with the solution to the wet food issues. Older cat still seems weak, and younger cat still seems lethargic, but at least they’re eating something.
Are we doing the right thing? Feel like there’s no winning and we’re just picking how we kill one of these cats… Open to any thoughts/ideas/anything.

Not many people realise that the original slot machines were based on Poker.
Saloons in the early to mid 1800s would have glass cased reels with stacks of 10 poker cards across 5 reels.
They even removed the 10 of hearts and the jack of spades - which made a whole bunch of hands less likely and improved the odds for the house.
Players would pay to spin these reels and the bartender would give them out prizes, like drinks and cigars for getting certain hands.
For me, Balatro is very much the successor to these original slot machines. Working on a variable reward mechanic it takes a ton of features that are very similar to those in the casino world.
The most notable of these is the bonus round. Players normally need to hit 3 or more scatters anywhere in view on the reels to launch a special bonus round, which is normally free spins.
Over time, these free spin rounds have become increasingly sophisticated with many of them offering special modifiers to increase the payouts of the free spins. These include:

All of these are very similar to the jokers offered by Balatro and the games certainly share more than a passing similiarity. What interests me the most is that Balatro (I need a source check here please) was apparently inspired by the Landlord's Game which I believe is a slot machine.
So with this in mind, are we likely to see a Balatro slot?
In my opinion the answer is no - because Balatro is focused on winning and giving people amazing synergies that build together and the potential return of different combinations is focused on advancing the player. Contrast this with casino games where the emphasis is on taking from the player and the games are bent in the casino's favour - it's not that a Balatro game isn't possible - it's that the game experience and fun that's available on Balatro simply would not and could not work in a game that's all about paying the casino.

PCT graduating with my BSN this December. Currently working on a Medsurg unit.
Homeless dialysis patient due for dialysis the next morning discharged yesterday. Wheeled them out to the front entrance and had to watch them hobble away slowly across the street in paper scrubs with their BUS PASS which is apparently all we could offer them to get to the shelter. It is cold outside. Filled their personal bag with snacks and sodas. Last words to me: “I appreciate you all thank you for everything.”
I teared up on the way back to the unit and felt depressed for the rest of the day. That is all. Felt desperate to do more for them. Knew I couldn’t talk to more experienced coworkers about this because they have dealt with it so many times and have become calloused to things like this. What is there to even say? Who knows where they are now. I’m sure many of you can relate to this feeling.

i do believe in manifestation and all, but i have ocd and most of the times my mind is full of very bad intrusive thoughts that i don’t want them to happen at all. now i’m afraid that i can attract those thoughts because i read somewhere that, in a way or another, the universe gives you what you think and imagine; this makes me so much anxious and scared at the same time. i wake up everyday thinking that these thoughts, unfortunately, became true (even when they aren’t). i don’t know what to do anymore, it’s really frustrating.
