24yo, F. Story started about 5 months ago. The next day after sleeping with a new partner I felt intense burning while urinating for the first time in my life. Went to see a doctor, was misdiagnosed with UTI, took the treatment they gave me but the pain was getting worse and worse until I ended up having this constant burning sensation all day long alongside with vaginal irritation. Symptoms went away after a week, but a couple of months after they returned. In September I had a vaginal culture done and tested positive for Ureaplasma Urealyticum. Urinalysis and urine culture came back negative. Took 10 days of doxy and had a second vaginal culture, which came back negative for Ureaplasma. I then consulted a Urologist who gave me a second round of treatment with moxifloxacin (10 days), because he wanted to make sure that the infection would be adequately cleared. However, despite all treatments I've had, including a bunch of probiotics and natural supplements, symptoms still persist.
So now it's late November and since September I've been having all the following: - constant burning sensation in the urethra - burning while urinating - cloudy & frothy urine - external and internal burning that comes and goes (located in the lower abdomen, lower back, external genitalia etc) - whitish vaginal discharge with no smell
It's such a struggle to deal with! I know I should be patient and wait to see what the PCR test will show in 1.5-2 months from now, but right now I'm making crazy thoughts about all this. I'm afraid my whole life is going to be like this and that all these lingering symptoms will be accompanying me forever. I hate thinking that I'll be enjoying my everyday activities less and that I'll always be under pain, no matter what I do. I really want to enjoy life and be safe and symptom-free in my next relationship. I also want to have kids one day and I can't help thinking about miscarriages / unsuccessful pregnancies / ureaplasma coming back.
Please share your stories and thoughts - for how long have you been having lingering symptoms? Has anyone managed to fully get rid of them? Did you manage to get pregnant / have kids after treating a symptomatic urraplasma infection?

 | My wife and I just got a wonderful antique Victrola Talking Machine for $100 at an estate sale. Wonderful condition, turns at the correct speed, comes with original paperwork, framed advertisement, shellack thick Edison records and leather bound record books from 1905-1920. We are just waiting on a needle in the mail to test the audio. The exterior finish is very rundown though, and we are looking for advice on how to refinish the outside to match the wonderful sheen on the inside. Can we just restain and lacquer it? Please advise! I've been on methotrexate for about 9 months. The first 6 months were absolutely miserable getting acclimated to the med while also increasing the dose. I've topped at 20mg back in August. I felt great for a couple of weeks. However, I have also been on steroids for the past year. I've tried getting off steroids and it put me in an awful flare. So I jumped to an increased dose and slowly working my way back down. As I'm doing this, I can feel my body getting worse with lowering the dose.
I honestly haaaaate taking mtx. It's become this whole psychosomatic thing where rubbing alcohol makes me gag and so does scented soaps I use to supplement the alcohol. I'm to the point where even thinking about the injection makes me gag, let alone giving the injection makes me vomit.
I am terrified of starting a biologic. I just feel like I shouldnt have to be on all of these meds if I can't even function without steroids. We also don't have a set diagnosis for me. I am in the realms of seronegative RA and Undifferentiated Connective Tissue Disease.
For what it's worth, I feel better than what I did feel before the treatment. But this isn't a quality of life I think is worth all the hassle. I started this rheumatoid journey almost 2 years ago. Does anyone else have a similar experience?

Hi I'm currently in prospect about changing my faith from Hinduism into some other religion and I been reading some old discarded prayer books that a classmate has stored in his home. He gave me one out of a request I made that was used for Catholic religious service gatherings (or whatever they call it in this specific religion).
Throughout the prayer book there is and R and a V tat teh start of some statements and it seems to rotate throughout prayers. I'm wondering what do these stand for?
In addition I was told these prayer books are meant to be used in groups during the sermons on the weekly gatherings. I'm not yet converted and am still officially a Hindu on government records but as I read through the prayer book and even try to recite it out loud, I'm wondering is the way I'm doing it wrong? Do I have to have another person or maybe even a group to use the prayer book? Or can Catholics (maybe other Christians even) just use the entire book for solitary worship?
