I (45M) am a retired Marine who served for 20+ years. However, my role in the Marine Corps was a bit... unconventional. I worked full-time in the kitchen, feeding my fellow soldiers.
I live in small town USA. When I came home from my final deployment, I was hailed as a homecoming hero. People would come up to me, shake my hand, and thank me for my service. They'd ask me about my "brave" experiences on the front lines, and I'd just smile and nod.
The thing is, I never actually saw combat. I was always behind the scenes, cooking meals for my fellow Marines. But I never corrected anyone's assumption that I was a combat hero. I just let them think what they wanted.
I was called to inaugurate our renovated rec centre as well, and I'm not going to lie, but I did enjoy the attention.
My brother asked me to come clean, and suggested that being in the kitchen is not heroic or 'soldier-like'. My wife thinks the same.
Now, I'm starting to feel a little guilty about it. Am I the asshole for not setting the record straight? Should I have been more honest about my role? Or is it okay to just let people think what they want?

Die 6 Drehknöpfe mit dem kleinen roten Schlitz drehen durch, die Fassung greift nicht mehr. Ergo sind alle "zu", Fußbodenheizung wird in keinem Raum warm.
Mein Hausmeister ist aktuell nicht greifbar, daher dachte ich, ich versuche mein Glück einmal hier. :-)

Following his team's victory on Night Two of the Old Empire Tour, Jackie Valentine is seen searching backstage for The Nautilus, calling out his name in a fury of anger and destroying everything near him. Despite his search, he is unable to find him and is met with a man that tells Jackie that it's time to go. Jackie is seen leaving the arena in a fancy car.
From there, we transition to a hospital at an undisclosed location in North Carolina. Jackie enters into the room to see a tearful older woman and The Gentleman... lying in his hospital bed, recovering from his injuries. Jackie comforts the older woman with a hug as she cries into his shoulder. Jackie apologizes over and over again as he looks at her and his mentor.
Jackie Valentine is sitting next to The Older Gentleman as he lays in his hospital bed, recovering from his injuries that he sustained from The Nautilus. The Gentleman's wife looks to be leaving the room until she says something to Jackie.
Gentleman's Wife: "Jackie, dear, I'm going to run home to get something he can change into when he wakes up. Hopefully he'll be able to get out of here soon. Would you like me to bring you anything?"
Valentine: "No No, I'm quite alright, thank you. I'm going to wait here for a while. Are you sure you are okay to leave on your own?"
Gentleman's Wife: "Oh, don't you worry my dear, I have some of my husband's friends coming with me. I won't be alone and I'll be quite alright. If you need anything, call me, Jackie."
Once the woman leaves, we see Jackie holding onto his mentor's hand, his sorrowful face slowly turning into anger. Jackie pours himself a glass of scotch that he snuck into the hospital.Jackie looks down the lens of the camera as the lights become darker, but his brightly colored eyes shine brighter.
Valentine: "So... it's really come to this, huh? You seriously went out of your way to attack someone I hold very dear in my life, an old man on his anniversary night with his lovely wife... someone that has been a mentor for me since I was very young...and for what? To send a message to me? Because I dare to dream big and have aspirations to be the best version of me I can possibly be? Because you think that I lack conviction to work towards making those things happen and need some sort of sick way of being motivated!?
Jackie takes a drink as it is now visibly raining outside and a streak of lightning flashes. Jackie continues...
Valentine: "Let me tell you something about myself. I am someone that has made my dreams become reality in every way. I didn't come from much and have slowly but surely made myself a name that is becoming more recognizable each day by all of those around the world (the FBE world). I am someone that has been able to do that through the belief I have in myself that I'm meant for greater things. Trust me, if I had weak conviction, I wouldn't be here right now, in position to take that Total Invasion Championship from you. Let's be honest... that's why you really did this, right?"
Jackie pours more to drink and takes a sip before he continues...
Valentine: "You talk about dreams being for those without conviction and those who are weak willed... let's talk about what you have been dreaming about lately. Or rather... what you have been having nightmares about. You are afraid that your most prized piece of gold is about to taken from your cold, scaly hands. You're afraid because you are now about to face someone that YOU have never gone up against before. You are afraid because deep down, you know that I am not some weak willed, spineless, coward that you will be able to beat down. Look into my eyes, Nautilus, you can see that, can you? What do you see, when you look in the mirror? It's everything that you claim to be me, isn't it? Deep down, you know that YOU are the one that is the coward."
Jackie finishes his drink and smashes the glass against the wall
Valentine: "On Night 3 of The Old Empire Tour, I'm going to make your worst nightmares become true! I am going to show that this young man has plenty of conviction to kick your ass and take the Total Invasion Championship! I'm going to shine brighter than ever before and steal the show! I'll be taking the spotlight away from you, sending you straight back down below where you belong. On Night 3, you are going to get the very best of me and it will be my Battle of Salamis but YOU will be the one that sinks down below. Then again... you should already be used to that and familiar with that feeling... right, Yiannis?"
Jackie smirks and then goes over to The Gentleman and says "And when I become Total Invasion Champion, I'll be bringing that belt back here, so you can hold it in your own arms.".
Jackie cleans up the glass and leaves the room, telling the older woman that he's going home for the night. When he gets in the car, he tells the driver that it's time to go out to sea and collect what is his

So the topics I really feel need to be discussed more. Like why do ppl feel the need to bring back rage drive when heat dash is a more flexible rage drive specifically heat dash not smash.
The rank distribution personally i feel tweaks would be better rather then an overhaul. my biggest change being having it be similar to mk1 where you can go to player match after the set and you almost being locked into finishing the set
Side note I love tekken I recently joined in towards the end of the life span of tekken 7 I hope to have a good discussion about these things bc I feel even though we can’t eliminate frustration we can minimize it at the end of the day it’s a fighting game.

It doesn’t happen very often, but once in a while, I will have a dream that involves a moment of foreplay or touching or intimate moments with a woman.
The result, of course, is that I wake up, aroused and rather horny. I personally believe that masturbation is something best to be avoided… But sometimes as someone unmarried and waiting for sexual intimacy… it’s super challenging.
To clarify, these dreams aren’t about anyone specific nor do they happen predictably (like actions during the day lead to the dreams, there’s no evident pattern).
I guess I’m wondering if this happens for anyone else? Is this just a thing for men or does this happen to women also? If these dreams are happening on their own, is it wrong? And if I’m waking up so wound up… is there grace for any release of that tension? 🙈

I’ve been having this issue with my MacBook Air m3 13” where it just black screens sometimes. Basically I open it up and nothing happens, sometimes it takes a minute sometimes 10 or more for it to turn back on. Pressing the power button or restarting it doesn’t help (the boot menu shows up but nothing else) and it’s basically a gamble as to when I can use it again..
Anyone else have this issue and or know how to resolve it?
(I’ve already reinstalled macOS once as advised by apple tech support)
