For anyone who hasn’t played tapped out it sounds more dramatic than it is, it basically puts everything into your inventory so you have a blank canvas to build on. I really need to sort my valley out, it’s an absolute mess but I’m too lazy to go around clicking everything. I also have no inspiration and I don’t know where to start, so if anyone has any top tips please share them. I need the motivation!

Does this beautiful tree need to go?? :(
My husband says this tree needs to be cut down because it’s too close to the house and is damaging the foundation. I feel like he’s probably right, but please say it isn’t so!! It’s soooooo pretty and has gorgeous pink blooms in the spring!! This corner of the house is one story. There is no basement, just a crawl space. I’ve included some leaf pics to help identify the tree.
If it does need to go, any recommendations for a good replacement?? We are zone 6a/6b in SE Michigan. Soil is more clay-like in most spots. I’m happy to extend the landscaping border of course.
Any concerns about the arborvitae that is also pictured?? He didn’t say anything about that one. The house came with several poorly placed trees and shrubs, but the other ones are nothing super special and I won’t miss. This one I will be sad tho!! I will definitely do my research with future plantings.

Edit: originally posted to landscaping and was recommended to post here. A commenter asked “how does he know it’s damaging the foundation?” The answer is: he does not know, and it’s an assumption based on how it looks. Which I can understand.

Hello everyone! I wanted to seek some outside opinions and vent a bit. I started college in 2019 but, unfortunately, I stopped attending classes and completing my assignments. As a result, I ended that semester with F's in every class except one. This put me on a one-semester suspension, and I didn't return after that.
In 2022, I decided to go back to school and work on repairing my 0.26 GPA. I managed to raise it to a 2.02, but during the Fall semester of 2023, I began struggling with severe depression, which I allowed my grades to slip again. My semester GPA fell below 2.0, and since it was technically my second offense, I was placed on a one-year suspension. I'm set to return to school in Spring 2024, and I've already created a class schedule.
My concern is whether I will be able to get into a Physician Assistant (PA) program as I had initially planned. Currently, I have 44 credits, but I've developed a plan for the grades I need to achieve. My school allows D/F repeats, so if I stay on track, I can potentially finish my bachelor's degree with a GPA of 3.3 or higher (depending on whether I take an extra semester). However, during my appointment with my college advisor last week, she essentially told me it was pointless to keep trying for the program because the average GPA of accepted students is 3.5. But I do want to add that the minimum GPA to apply is 3.0.
The PA program I'm interested in does not require clinical hours, but their website does recommend them. I work at a doctor's office and mentioned that I would be able to shadow some physicians. My advisor dismissed this idea, saying it would also be pointless since the PA program doesn't require clinical hours.
I understand that my academic record works against me, but I've heard of others with low GPAs being accepted into programs. I believed that shadowing could enhance my application and help me stand out. I feel like my advisor has been very discouraging, and I question the accuracy of her information. She told me that the PA program starts in the fall but it literally says on their website that it starts in the Spring. I had always thought that these programs consider other factors as well, which would allow me to improve my application. Now, I’m starting to doubt myself.
