2024.11.25 18:00 SilentG542 Lenel OnGuard 8.0 - Reader Mode/Alarm Question
Hi All, Looking for some guidance/assistance with a unique issue. We are running Lenel OG 8.0 currently. We have a handful of rooms that need to generate an alarm when someone attempts to access/gets denied. Works great with a MagStripe reader, i have the Global IO (transitioning to Local to trip a burg alarm too, but Global is what I have now for email notify...) anyways.... the global IO sends an email to a predetermined group on any denied condition. The issue.... we just transitioned our first to a HID Signo reader with keypad... and set the reader to Card+Pin in OG. works great for access...however now it will not notify UNLESS we have someone attempt their ID badge AND enter a pin. I don't see a way that if someone just uses their badge and does not enter a pin that it will generate the alarm... since that is only "half" of the authentication. it just times out and doesn't log any attempt. Any thoughts? My thought is that when the burg system (independent) is armed, i use that to put the reader 'locked' and then that will log the denied, but that is not wired/programmed at the moment.

Hey everyone,
I’m in the market for a new pair of closed-back headphones with solid bass. Currently, I’m using the FiiO JT1, which I like for its strong bass, but I’m hearing a rattle on the right driver only, and it happens when there's a song with a lot of bass, other headphones I've tried don’t do this. So I’m using this as an opportunity to try purchase something more 'audiophile-grade.'
I tried the DT 770 Pro X Limited Edition, the bass was cleaner, but there was less of it compared to the FiiO JT1, making them sound a bit flat in comparison. I ended up returning them. I’m after headphones with punchy bass that doesn't sacrifice mids and highs too much for it.
I’m used to the super boosted lows and highs of V-shaped gaming headphones, so I might need to adjust to something with a bit less bass than the JT1. That said, I don’t think I’d pick up the DT 770 Pro X Limited Edition again, it just didn’t work for me. I don't know if it's because of what I'm used to, but it just sounded noticeably flatter in comparison to the JT1, despite people suggesting it for when others make posts here asking for closed-backs with good bass that are good for music, and gaming. Is this just a me problem here? Anyways I’ve seen some talk about the Sundara and Edition XS, but I’m open to other suggestions if there's something better in my price range.
Also, soundstage and imaging are important to me for a more immersive listening experience for all purpose use cases, you get the gist of it. I know open-backs are inherently better for this, but I’m hoping to find the best possible closed-back option within my budget.
I’d love to hear your recommendations for closed-backs that can match the bass impact of the JT1 while delivering better overall quality across the board.
