2024.11.25 18:00 grapebeyond227 How to gain access to existing wifi light controls in my home?
I am in the early stages of a divorce and currently living in the marital home with our 2 children.
Soon to be ex-husband set up nearly all of the house lights as Wifi smart bulbs over the years, which we turn on and off through Alexa.
Some of these lights are no longer working through Alexa and are either not turning on at all, or turning on in the wrong color (green), or at the wrong brightness. I need to manually control these via the lightbulb apps (they don't show in the Alexa app for me), but I don't have account access to the individual apps.
I asked my ex to share the account logins with me or at least add me as a user, but he refuses - stating it is a waste of his time to do so. Instead, he says I need to go around the house and unscrew each bulb to put it into pairing mode and then reconnect to my own account, and re-add to Alexa.
Talk about a waste of time...????
Anyway, is there an easier way to gain access to the light controls? The platforms I am aware of are Tuya, Wyze, Phillips and Feit.

Earlier, there were no capitalists in the profession. Everyone helped each other—whether it was about finding articleship opportunities, job tips, or career advice. We learned from our mistakes and grew together.
But now, things are changing. CAs with good reach are taking advantage of students' insecurities, charging for things like articleship guidance, CV creation, career advice, and mentorship, Faltu courses.
Now, I see articleship students doing the same—offering career guidance and interview tips. My thought: First, become a CA yourself. Don’t you worry that your advice could potentially harm someone's career—like guiding them toward the wrong articleship or job?
It’s like the Dunning-Kruger effect—“The less people know, the more they think they know. The more people know, the more they realize how much they don’t know.”
This is just my personal view, but I believe too much spoon-feeding isn’t right. Learn on your own—researching, practicing interviews, and using resources like Google and YouTube.
They should not profit from the insecurities of foundation and intermediate students. Let them learn and grow the way we did.

So far I feel like I don't really affect the world around me or my character and I can't make or do anything that makes the game different in any way by playing through the content. Maybe I'm missing something. I think I must be.
If professions are only for money and they don't add any fun abilities, like the ability to fly or to move faster or make a permanent torch, what are you 'aiming' for. I really like the game, but I'm not quite sure what I'm playing for. I'm not trying to be mean just a honest question.
I did see that there are some things you can build to make objects that can make gardening easier and more convenient and that's nice but I haven't seen anything like that for any other profession and even those items only affect gardening.

Hello, I’m 24m currently working as associate software developer. Is it worth it to try for loksewa foreign affairs? Not really passionate about software, but I’m really interested in diplomacy and international relations and like the idea of getting to represent Nepal abroad.
But considering the 40-50k salary for section officer in Nepal, is it really worth it? I feel that my salary ceiling in IT is a lot higher. Some of my seniors are earning 2 or 3 lakhs a month doing remote job. Also, I am single child and have dependent parents in 60s, so would I have to leave them here in Nepal during my postings abroad? With tech job, it seems that I have more freedom of where and when I work
