Is it just me, do catnutters hate it when you mention you own or you like other animals that aren’t cats?
So many I meet would lash out, be all aggressive, make threats, act so snobbish when I tell them I don’t have a cat, but I own a dog instead.
I’m starting to think they’re acting like assholes on purpose. Like they want me to snap so they can play victim.
Average conversation with a catnutter:
Catnutter: So do you have any pets?
Me: I have a dog.
Catnutter: but have you ever received the conditional love from a cat? there’s no better feeling than when a cat chooses to love and trust you unlike dogs because they love everyone and they’re too needy, but cats teach you consent while dogs don’t have any boundaries, cats make you feel special but dogs are blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
me: (Give them a blank stare).
I tried lying. If I say I don’t have any pets, they start pushing me to get cats.
If I lie about my family’s cat (my family had one but it died many years ago) tell them it recently died. They just push me to get a new cat. Omfg, I don’t even have room to breathe here.
Why do they care so much? I’ve even been called STUPID simply because I don’t have a pet cat. They insult me for no reason.
Mind you, I NEVER tell people “I hate cats” because I’m considerate, unlike catnutters. I try to be respectful around others and their preferences, but goddamn, catnutters make everything difficult!

A few months ago, I realized something frustrating: only about half of my website visitors accepted my cookie popup, meaning Google Analytics was giving me inaccurate data. I started looking for alternatives and found Plausible, which is great (and open-source), but I couldn’t justify paying $9/month for analytics on a hobby project that didn’t make any money.
That’s when I decided to create my own web analytics tool. It wasn’t as hard as I thought—it took about a month of spare-time work. The key to GDPR compliance is avoiding personal identifiers, though I quickly learned it’s more complicated than it seems. For example, I assumed IP addresses wouldn’t count as personal identifiers, but they do.
Here’s how my system worked: when someone visited my site, I saved their IP and browser header for 24 hours. If they came back during that time with the same details, I’d just log another page view. If they didn’t match, I’d log them as a new daily unique user and add a view.
After building it, I figured others might have the same problem. So, I turned it into a small project called Simplytics.dev. I rebuilt the code from scratch (twice!) and learned a lot along the way—like how to implement OAuth, which was totally new to me.
Now it’s live! Instead of a monthly subscription, I decided to make it a one-time purchase. Right now, it’s priced at $49, but I’ll see how things go. It feels great to finally launch something I built from start to finish.

Hello, I'm a recent paid subscriber to Torbox. The settings page in my account, including all the notification and Stremio preferences have reset themselves multiple times over the last week. It's frustrating to have to set them all up again.
I'm aware they are having issues due to the volume of new users and adding new servers to their network but is this issue with resetting the settings being caused by that? Or a different bug?

But for now, I submit Lea Michele. The one person I didn't want as Elphaba and forever thankful she isn't. The only thing that would be worse is her and Ariana together, they're basically the same personality wise. And let's face it, people would only want her because of her resemblance to Idina Menzel, she tries too hard to be like her, overacts, needs breath support, and overall just isn't a nice person.
