2024.11.25 18:50 scottduk So I got a lovely surprise today
 | OK so I purchased this season pass for £17 right at the start of the season. I did not receive the 10,000 happiness that was supposed to come with that purchase. I contacted customer service through the app and after a number of back n fourth emails I was basically told I had purchased the wrong season pass. What I was being told was that there were two season passes both £17 but one came with happiness and one not. And I had pressed the wrong one meaning I was not entitled to the happiness (even though the cost was the same). After being very disappointed I made a post about it on here and the discord. I also made a 1 star review on Google play store. And moaned about it on a couple of dmk tweets. I had made the decision to continue to play this season out and that was maybe me done. Now I've played a very long time and spent probably close to £1000 on this game over the years. I thought my time was almost done. Then out of nowhere today I got an email from customer care that said whilst they still say I was in the wrong they were "gifting" me the happiness I thought I had purchased 40 days ago. I'm delighted in the change of heart from gameloft on this occasion. However I do wonder what caused the change of mind here?. I have no real idea but I do wonder if they have looked at my purchase history and seen that I'd stopped spending money on this game. Has anyone else had a similar experience with customer care fixing a personal issue after such a long time?. Let's begin with the fact that I'm very new to watches so I need your advice. I recently graduated and haven't bought anything to myself in months. So as a graduation/x-mas present I might get a watch for myself.
I love the color of red wine and think it might go well in a watch face.
The price should be no more than 300€.
I get that is very cheap but surely there are some decent quality watches at that price point if I don't care about re-sell value. I'm european and I would prefer if the watch was shipped from eu so I don't need to pay taxes.
What are some brands I should or shouldn't be looking at?

2024.11.25 18:50 Wheatley-Crabb Writing a trans character is making me really dysphoric and I’m conflicted about it.
I’m writing a little sci-fi novel in my free time, about a character escaping an impoverished hyper-capitalist world to live in a community in the wilderness. The protagonist is very much a self-insert, and I think it would be very thematically fitting if she were a trans girl who never had the ability to medically transition until she escapes the dystopian society she lived in. However, writing that is proving very difficult to me. I never like associating myself with being trans, it hurts too much and I’d just prefer to ignore it and eventually live as any cis girl would, so writing specifically about a character’s dysphoria and making her that way is extremely difficult. I’ve also always found it difficult to be close with other trans women because of how empathetic I am, and I tend to feed their dysphoria into my own. I’ve considered making it more subtlety hinted that the character is trans, but then I would lose a lot of the benefit and story depth that was the point of it in the first place, and even just knowing the body she has is making me feel so hurt for her. The dilemma is basically between making her trans for the sake of the story, or making her cis for the sake of not having to impose dysphoria onto a character I’ve basically been using for comfort and projecting onto. Thanks for listening to the rant, I guess.

2024.11.25 18:50 ranjimin how the heck does one keep an agitator bolt from constantly rusting?
i have a whirlpool WET4027EW1 so the agitator bolt is inside of the fabric softener dispenser. it was leaking rust juice into my laundry and staining it so i replaced the bold recently. ofc since its constantly wet its immediately rusty and having the same problems again. is there any solution to this or do i just change the bolt every month??
pls don’t say the solution is to not use fabric softener- i don’t but i use other things in the rinse cycle such as laundry sanitizer and rinse and refresh 😭

2024.11.25 18:50 Public_Dimension6730 Will leaving external HDD (seagate expansion 14tb) plugged into wall outlet consume power? Will it shorten lifespan of the HDD?
I bought a new 14tb seagate expansion HDD that requires being plugged into the wall. The wall outlet where its at is a pain to get to so I do not want to have to plug and unplug it every time I transfer something to the drive. Is it ok to leave the wall outlet plugged in 24/7 and only plug the usb in when I need to make a tranfer? Will keeping it plugged in effect the drive at all? Thanks.

2024.11.25 18:50 zbrat8 DirectX 12 crashes Dolphin?
My Dolphin emulator crashes when using the DirectX 12 backend. It compiles all the shaders right before a game starts, and then it suddenly closes.
I’m using an Intel NUC8i7 with an 8559U CPU and integrated Intel Iris Plus 655 graphics on Win11, which theoretically should support DX12.
Vulkan and DirectX 11 work perfectly fine.
Does anyone have ideas on what might be causing this?

As of late, I’ve been trying not to self harm things have been a roller coaster, and I don’t know what to do. I am currently on disability and it’s killing me. It’s hard to maintain my bills. I’ve maxed out my credit cards just trying to stay afloat. It will be another two months before I’m to go back to work. None of the programs that are around me are helping because I am not permanently disabled. I’m not a veteran and I don’t have kids. I’m so close to having my car repo and being put on the streets and I don’t know what to do. at this point I just wonder why am I on this earth?
