2024.11.25 19:20 Owewinewhose997 Feedback on solo bedtime routine
My partner sometimes works late shifts and so I need to do my 8 month old twins’ bedtime routine by myself, I’m not fully happy with it but I’m not sure what I should change to make it better, so here is the routine and please comment/critique it to see how I can improve.
Step 1-I leave both twins playing in their fully enclosed playpen with the tv on and some toys that I feel safe that they can’t hurt themselves with, and head upstairs to run their bath/lay out their pjs, nappies, creams etc.
2-I bring the twins upstairs one at a time and set them in their cots in their bedroom, then undress them down to their nappy one by one.
3-I carry them one by one into the bathroom, where I have laid out their towels on the floor next to the bath, I set one down on her towel, and leave her there to get the other one. I don’t love this part, they are pretty mobile and I’m scared they will wiggle off the towel and whack their heads on the tile, I’m fast because the rooms are adjoining but still, not ideal.
4-I take off their nappies and put them one by one into their bath seats (we have the Angelcare sitting up type seats), then bathe them one by one, whoever is not being washed gets a bath toy to occupy her, they love the bath and are happy to splash and wait their turn.
5-I drain the bath fully, take one twin out and scoop her up in her towel, then run to put her in her cot and come back for the other one. Another part that I don’t like, I worry that they’ll somehow get out of their seat and bang their head on the bath.
6-I put their nappies on them while they’re in the cots first, then I lay one on the floor where I fully dress her while the other one does cot gymnastics in her nappy. Then I swap them over.
7-I carry them both at once into our bedroom next door where I lay them on the bed for their bedtime bottle, story and hair and teeth brushing. I don’t like carrying them both because they are heavy and wriggly, but they’re too mobile to be laid on our bed for even a moment by themselves and I would be afraid they’d get past a pillow wall.
8-I carry them both at once into their room and lay them in their cots, again, I don’t like carrying them both at once and their cots are on the lowest setting now and it’s very difficult to put one down in her cot while holding the other one so I struggle with this.
Can anyone help me think of a better way to do this to make it safeeasier? They need their bath because they are BLW and typically have pasta in their hair etc so that is a non-negotiable, also please bear in mind that I have pretty severe issues with my back from pregnancy so something like feeding them while in their cots and leaning over wouldn’t really be possible for me without hurting myself, another reason that I want to limit instances of carrying them both at once.

You would expect the Captain Commander of the Gotei 13 to be stronger. Especially since his Bankai is incredibly overrated. All you have to do is have more Reitsu than him and Stage 1 and 2 become useless.

Does anyone know where to find this episode? I think it was called "Honor Thy Father". I only saw it on HLN once, and have never seen it nor been able to find it since. I remember a harrowing phone call recording being played during the episode, it was particularly disturbing to me.

For context I am a mod developer working on a few Minecraft mods but I began getting so invested in my mods progression and lore behind it I decided to make a world for it. I posted in worldbuilding and Fantasy but both times my post has been removed and so I posted this question on FanFiction and was redirected here. I am using the videogame Minecraft as a medium and not necessarily using the mechanics in Minecraft? For example Minecraft uses basic standard fictional concepts such as magic, undead mobs, crafting, building, resource gathering, common mobs like cows, pigs, chickens etc. so that's about the extent to which I would be using that for my worldbuilding and I wouldn't be using any Minecraft exclusive content such as Creepers, The Nether, The End, Ender Dragons, Blazes, etc. Basically anything that says "Oh that's Minecraft".
I am creating a mini-web series which will be recorded in Minecraft but it my world everything that would make Minecraft does not exist (Creepers, The Nether, The End, Ender Pearls, Blazes, etc.). Additionally I am creating and developing Minecraft mods for my project and these mods would be adding a plethora of aquatic creatures such as sharks, rays, fish, whales etc. alongside some bosses for the story telling. (Yes these mods would actually be downloadable for people to play but the mod mechanics and such are not relevant for the story telling.)
I personally consider it a original world and not a fanfic (if that’s the right word to put) since I’m incorporating a lot of things that Vanilla Minecraft does not have and original concepts and such. However I was just curious to ask to see people’s opinions or thoughts. Would it be better if I just made it a Minecraft fanfiction world or continue what I am doing? Also happy to answer any questions about it! I love talking about the world or my mods.
