2024.11.25 19:20 ericaferrica Suggestions for an elliptical/bike combo that is actually good at both?
I can defintely find products that fit what I'm looking for, but I don't know if I can trust any of the reviews from their sellers because they all have "9+" ratings. That doesn't seem right.
I love using an elliptical. My husband loves bikes. I'd rather we both get a machine that fits both of our needs, as we can't fit 2 fitness machines in our basement. We used to have a treadmill but neither of us liked it.
Are there any 2-in-1 or elliptical/bike combos you'd recommend that are actually good at both things? I know we will likely have to compromise a bit (obviously a standalone of either would be the "best" version of those machines) but for our situation, we pretty much have to go with a combination machine of some kind.
The only similar thread I can find here about this is from like 4+ years ago so I'm hoping there have been some improved models since!

Hi everyone! I’m 29 years old - planning a wedding soon - and have been working out for years! I’m in pretty decent shape. I started a new job and it requires travel so I’ve been looking into joining OTF. I love classes and my current local gym is hard to get to now. I did the trial and do wish there was more strength training involved… anyway,
What’s everyone’s thoughts? Do you have previous workout experience? I know a lot of people recommend this for people trying to start out so I wasn’t sure if this would be a good match for me - I just want some real raw truth about it.
Also 169 seems a little crazy but is it worth it?

2024.11.25 19:20 a_hidden_life I watched under Capricorn (1949)
So tonight i watched this sort of overlooked Hitchcock picture and imma share my letterboxd review here: Hitchcock films in mysterious ways...
In recent years it has become a tradition to watch a Hitchcock everytime I'm sick and here i am writing this with my throat killing me as usual...
Anyway to me this one is experimental Hitchcock because he's still trying to find his style and in this case he's going more towards theatrical acting,long monologues and much less suspense than what we expect from him..imma be honest and say that sort of took the wind out of the sails for me but still it worth a watch in my opinion.
The plot is quite lovely to me and it benefits from Bergman, wilding and cotton's great acting.. i mean there's noone outshining ingrid bergman when she plays some troubled yet kind-hearted lady! She's wonderful and also her partners.
The ending reminded me of "the man who shot liberty valance" where the gentleman caring lover does the "right" thing and brings her husband back to the woman who he's in love with and goes away.. it always warms my heart watching endings like this in a classic era film like that, i just dont see many ditectors capturing the essence of sacrifice through pictures anymore..love has become so self centered as i feel it but its just me i might be wrong idk!(That was a reminder of john Wayne burning down his house btw)
Overall it was a comfortable watch and fingers crossed I'll be back with another Hitchcock log but without any cold... (+ 'its_hadi' is me on letterboxd I'll be glad to add yall too)
