For some context: I'm a lesbian and came out twice, once as bi and then years later when I realised as a lesbian, I did it again. The first time I was a teenager fresh off 2014 tumblr and definitely used very online language that confused my parents so that definitely didn't help my case but either way, they were absolutely horrible about it. When I came out as a lesbian it was during lockdown and we live in different countries so I wrote them a letter which they said nothing about until I asked a month later on a video call - my dad stormed out of the room and my mum said "I have nothing to say, other than maybe I gave you too much attention growing up" (??). So... yeah, not great both times.
But I still have some hope that my mum specifically will come around. Her best friend growing up was gay, her mother was a dancer whose dance partner was a gay man who lived across the street from us with his partner and is still a close family friend... my mum was literally the one who raised me to think gay people are just like everybody else despite us living in a pretty homophobic country!! I always thought if any family member was going to be accepting of me, it would be her. We don't talk about my sexuality, it's something my parents just never acknowledge, but I think for my mum the whole thing stems from her not seeing it coming.
I'm very femme, I always liked "girly" things growing up, had long hair, wore dresses, etc, and I think she definitely has an idea in her head that gay men = effeminate, and lesbians = butch tomboys. Every time I hear a story about someone's parents being accepting, there's always the clichƩ of the parents saying stuff like "oh, we always knew", or "we knew before even you did"... Which is incredibly sweet! But also disheartening because my parents are on the exact opposite end of that. I also live in a pretty liberal city in a country that's much more progressive than where I'm from, so all the queer people I know have been out to their families for seemingly forever and they're accepted and loved by them, so I struggle to find people irl I relate to. I'm happy for them, I don't want any of my friends (or anyone really, lol) to go through what I did or feel as rejected by their loved ones... But I want to hear some stories I can relate to more.
So... do you have any stories of parents who didn't in fact "know" but are now okay with you? What (if anything) changed? I'd love to hear them, it doesn't matter what your orientation (or gender identity) is!
Oh and just so we're clear: realistically I fully accept that there's a very high chance my parents will most likely never come around and if/when I have a serious partner that will be a whole other ordeal to deal with. I'm just looking for some fuel to keep up the shred of hope that possibly, maybe, if the stars align just right when the moon is full or whatever, there's a tiny chance that things can change for the better.

Though I (28m/bottom) have known my current partner (39m/top) for over a year, we have been in an exclusive relationship since the spring. When I was single and we were exploring a relationship, the both of us could go 30 min-1.5 hrs of relatively hardcore sex without thinking twice. Now that we have been exclusive, our stamina has shortened considerably and we typically finish within 5-10 minutes. I was wondering if anyone had some insight to this and ways to increase stamina? As we are exclusive, I do understand that our passion and intimacy has greatly increased, which likely has a profound impact. I love my man so much, but would like to be able to hold out longer.

2024.11.25 20:21 wwaarrddy CPU Fan Error!
As per the title, I am getting a CPU fan error.
I have updated the BIOS and tried both the chassis fan header and CPU fan header to no avail.
I bought a new Fan (Themalright Phantom Spirit EVO) and have just installed it to the same error.
So I ran a quick test and it is keeping my CPU cooler than the previous fan, but I think this is more to do with the heatsink than the fans actually working properly, as when I open HWMonitor, they never go abouve 207 RPM, either in game or in a benchmark.
A quick test on User Benchmark, got the CPU up to a max of 68 degrees C and prior to that, I ran a quick raid on Escape from Tarkov where the Temp ran up to mid 60s after 5 minutes at most.
Is this normal? I don't personally believe it is but my CPU is currently at a cool 34 degrees...with nothing but Reddit open.
Any ideas please?

27m in US. Iāve had SOB, back pain and chest pain (usually burning, sometimes sharp) and a dry cough for a couple months. Was told I had bacterial pneumonia a month ago and given antibiotics that didnāt help. No other pneumonia symptoms, they said this because I had GGOs in the lower left lung. Also my entire body is SO itchy especially my legs and hands. Swollen hard lymph node right above my elbow. Weird leg brusing. Loss of appetite and lost some weight. Idk if this matters but putting it in here in case it does.
The chest and back pain are now constant and getting worse. Even worse when I move at all. There is a painful bulge on the lower left ribs. All very noticeable. Went to the ER 3 days ago after my doctor said it looks very concerning and I should. They said I had costochondritis, then took an x-ray and said Iām constipated, too. Donāt really feel that constipatedā¦ Iāve had multiple bowel movements since then, and the middle of the right side of my back is swollen, the other swollen area over my ribs is bigger and Iām vomiting. I am exhausted and tired of feeling like ass.

2024.11.25 20:21 ars4l4n I set up an external URL for my HA instance via Duck DNS & port forwarding on my router and have encountered several issues since
Right after setting that up, I noticed I couldnāt access HA over the internal URL anymore in the companion app which I fixed by entering the Duck DNS external URL where the internal URL is supposed to be in the companion app.
After a while, Iāve started getting the error āthe certificate for this server is invalidā in my Home Assistant companion app and have been unable to access Home Assistant via the companion app. I donāt know if this is because I changed one of the routers in my mesh or if it happened independently of it. On top of that, I occasionally get an unsafe-website warning in Chrome which I have to click through in order to get to HA on my PC.
Itās clear these issues are related to the port-forwarding Iāve done as I havenāt had them before that.

I am a woman who is nearly 30. I never questioned my sexuality because I chose to ignore or dismiss the attraction that I felt. About 6 months ago, I started to do some research and realized that Pansexual accurate summarizes my attraction to people. I took some time to sit with this information about myself. After reading about other people who realized their sexuality later in life, I felt less alone. My extended family would never accept me for who I am, and I wouldn't bother telling them anyway. It hurts to keep that part of myself locked away.
I am married to a man, and decided to come out to him last night. He was very supportive. As someone who has struggled with anxiety and depression for most of my life, I felt like a weight was lifted when I told him. Maybe this has been lingering in my periphery longer than I realized.
