I’ve always loved the bass sound and riffs coming from gospel players and have recently been given an opportunity to play a gig that is majority gospel. I come mostly from a rock/funk background and I’d love any resources for how to upgrade my playing in that genre of music. I’m not Christian identifying anymore so I’m not able to learn in person thru the church setting but I’d love to do the genre justice when I bring it to the stage. Thanks in advance :)

My husband and I are likely moving to the area for his job and I am looking into jobs for myself now. I’ve been a nurse for 8 years with experience across the board but my favorite unit I ever worked was pediatrics so I’m very curious about the children’s hospital!
Looking for experience of those that work there- how do you like it and what do you like about it? The position posted is for float pool and I’m also wondering how that training would work. It makes me a little nervous to be thrown in and expected to work multiple different units so wondering if the cross training is generally gradual or how that works!
Any advice or insight is greatly appreciated! We have visited and love the area so I’m so excited about all the possibilities :)

Got an interesting problem with Source Engine games - essentially, I get regular micro stutters which I think are caused by new audio loading in.
As an example, stitching on the flash light in HL:2 causes a frame time spike on its first use when loading into a game.
Here's what I've tried:
- disabling v-sync both in game and in NVCP
- disabling g-sync
- setting a frame rate cap (tried this both in NVCP and RTSS) of 200 or lower.
- lowering the settings like MSAA and texture quality
- turning off all monioring software
- running the game in full screen or boarderless windowed
- setting -vulkan as the launch perameter
- disabling any unused audio devices in Windows.
- disabling full screen optimisations
Any tips or advice would be welcome.
System specs (all drivers / software / windows updated to latest): Win 11, 4090, 14700KF, 32GB DDR5 6000mt, SSD, USB audio DAC (tried with regular Realtek onboard sound too), MSI MAG Tomahawk Z790 WiFi.

2024.11.25 21:48 Ok-Commercial2869 Won't play music from phone on Home or Mini Nest!
I have 2 Google Homes and a Mini Nest through my house which controls lights and music only. The voice commands, phone commands, and device commands all work flawlessly for the light. But for music? Good luck! I've tried completely resetting, that MIGHT work for a little while (might!) and the problem starts again. I gave up on it playing on the mini nest, and it was working on the two Homes. But now it won't even do that! They either don't show up on my phone, or it goes to connect and then after a few minutes disappear like it was never trying. The same attempt to connect then disappear happens when I voice command for the music. I use a Mesh system for Internet and have strong signal by each device, the Homes and Mini Nest are all close to a Mesh unit. I cannot figure this out for the life of me and I'm really fed up! Anyone have any ideas for what could be happening? (*All software is up to date, etc)

Sorry if obvious, I've never played POE1 and I don't know how 'alt friendly' those games are. I liked the fact that reputation was shared between char in Last epoch.

Hi, just looking for a simple macro to resize actor windows (to simple heights and width), it's annoying so spend time doing that every game, and it should not be that hard, but I have not found examples of this in the repositories I've looked at and honestly, I used to be a developer a long time ago, but I don't see myself trying to understand that huge system for something that should be really simple.
