I am a high school senior, and I know I want to serve in the military, and am considering the possibility of becoming an officer in the reserves. I would rather not go to an academy or do rotc, and I found out about the Marines PLC. It sounds like a good deal to me, I still get to commission but have a "normal" college life. I was wondering though how it works. When I finish college, do I have the option to pick if I go active or reserves? Is there a different path to becoming a reserve officer? And how does job selection work (I am familiar with branching in the army and air force). Thanks for any input.

Probably nothing new but who do you think is the most underrated all star caliber player in NBA history. Also feel free to give the inverse for the most overrated. I say Tony Parker is a pretty good underrated one but so is TMac. As far as overrated these days I would say players like Sabonis or Lavine based on the value people talk about both having but both are negatives on defense and are not winning players in any scheme imo. I'd have to put more thought into all time guys but if you're willing to have that debate lemme know cuz I have a few early 2000s/Late 90s guys in mind.

So I just found out that the guy I've been falling head over heels with for 3 months is aroace, what do I do?
I'm just gonna start this off with a little bit of context. (not disclosing ages)
So I Elijah(m) have liked this guy Spencer(masc nb) since the beginning of the school year, I was praying for the man of my dreams and he walked into the classroom and the second my eyes hit him I was in love, this guy is 5'4 a little shorter than me, he's got beautiful blue eyes and I love his style and just everything about him. I've been obsessing over this guy since day one, telling my friends about him, subtle flirting, asking him how his day is every single day etc.
Now I've always expected him to be a little fruity. Me and some of my friends use the F slur alot as a joke and he has said it too and doesn't seem to mind us calling him gay so I have just assumed he's either gay or bi or something similar.
The problem rose about an hour ago when we were chatting before class ended and him and his friend were talking about girls and I made a joke "am I the only on here who doesn't like women" and his friend said yes and we were laughing but then he said "well I'm actually aroace so..."
My heart just shattered, and my best friend is saying that there was signs and "oh well" but I just can't get over him this suddenly, and even though he's an amazing friend and even without romantic feelings or anything involved I would still love to be his friend but I don't know if I can face him still every day knowing that I loved him so much and he can't love me back.
So what do I do now?

Life sucks for us sometimes, but here's something a little silly that a Well Human Being wouldn't experience:
I drank half a beer from the can, and all of a sudden, I started to have a (very mild) allergic reaction - not to the beer, but to the can. Now, the tip of my nose tingles every time I take a sip. I look like rudolph. It's hilarious.
Things suck a LOT - but it's little moments like this that I can find some laughter (and even a bit of gratefulness) that other people might not get to laugh about.

Hi reddit,
I am looking for a replacement for my Razer Naga Trinity.
I basically have only two requirements: I want a pinky rest and I want a lot of - distinct - buttons.
Most MMORPG-mice, like the Razer Naga or the Corsair Scimitar only fulfill the first requirement. For the second requirement, they have a ton of thumb-buttons, but they usually are too close to one another to feel distinct and I don't want to accidentally press the wrong button. Right now, I am using eleven buttons on my Razer Naga Trinity (four out of seven thumb buttons, LMB, RMB, mouse wheel, MWR, MWL).
I use a fingertip-grip and mainly need the mouse to play video games like Dota 2 or CS2.
I tried using the table tool on RTINGS to find more mice with a finger rest, but it pretty much only returned the Scimitar and the Razer Naga.
The ASUS ROG Spatha looks like they tried a to get a distinct shape for each button, and they added some buttons for the index finger, but the shape doesn't feel great to me, it is super heavy and I have reservations against wireless mice.
The CoolerMaster MM720 is a pretty sweet shape, but it only has the two thumb buttons, and that just isn't enough.
Do you have more recommendations for good mice that use creative ways to implement having a lot of distinct buttons (like the Logitech G502 or the old Roccat mice) and have a pinky rest? And are wireless mice now just as good and reliable as wired mice?
