As a 17 year old Muslim or ex Muslim (not really sure what I am) who just recently lost the faith in the belief of god I feel like I’m free to fully express my actual beliefs about the religion of Islam as someone who has lived as a Muslim his whole life and followed all the rules to my best ability.
I would like to first start off by discussing what kept me in Islam and actually brought me closer to it for the past year (obviously before now). I feel like the main pros about Islam for me were just how easy that concept was to understand. Believing in one god with no partners just made way more sense than believing in multiple gods. I would always love to feed into this idea that god is always with me so I have nothing to actually fear in my life except for god himself. It brought me comfort knowing that little interactions didn’t really matter in life if the ultimate goal in the grand scheme of things was heaven so I took it and ran. Honestly I still haven’t considered how I can live without this idea but we will see as time goes on. As well as the comfort that god and the afterlife gave me I was also able to find comfort in the idea of having a role model (Muhammad) that I could base my actions off of if I was ever uncertain of what to do. I love the sense of community that came with Islam, with everyone being so confident in their beliefs and just so close with each other, it never failed to make me proud to be a Muslim. I would always spend my time watching Islamic videos trying to strengthen my faith and help me be able to defend it if I ever needed to. I would even get to the point where I would start preaching to my non Muslim friends in school. But unfortunately everything came crashing down.
Even when I was a Muslim I would contemplate the likeliness of a god actually existing and what the chances were that he would decide to give his final message to Muhammad but I would brush those ideas away.
I guess while I’m talking about my true feelings about Islam it is important for me to talk about how I feel about the prophet Muhammad. I understand that a lot of people really dislike the man in this Reddit but even though I’m unsure about the whole concept of god and don’t fully believe in Islam anymore, I don’t believe that Muhammad was a bad man. I do believe that some of his actions by today’s standards are pretty bad. But I also want to make it clear that I don’t believe that Muhammad is a perfect man. I think he was more of a product of his time. I believe that he had good aspects like telling everyone to respect their parents, be modest, and be clean. I like how he preached about how all races are equal. And in the same way I also believe that he did some questionable and bad things that shouldn’t have been done. Of which being getting married to Aisha. I do sometimes feel like he was more of a revolutionary figure more so. I do not think he was a perfect man and I do believe that there are better people who have roamed this earth and are still roaming this earth. I might get some hate for this but I believe that some of his actions were products of his time. While I believe this to be true I do not in anyways believe that these points should dismiss his actions.
Anyways moving into the other aspects of Islam and generally about religion itself. As of lately I’ve started to believe that it is incredibly unlikely that if god was real, that he would not really care about the human race and earth in general just because of how insignificant we are in the grand scheme of the universe. I began to believe that if god was truly mercy then it would be very much unlikely that he would put someone in eternal torture which he describes in very gruesome details over not praying 5 times a day.
This may all just be a result of my limited ideas and my lack of knowledge but as of right now this is all I know.
I would say that I am pretty lost right now in terms of what I should do. I’m not really sure if I should continue praying. I’m not sure if I should put on this front that I’m a Muslim. I really would appreciate some guidance and possibly some friends to talk to about these topics. But anyways I really appreciate anyone who read this whole thing.

2024.11.25 23:30 akshay903 Question on construction to permanent loan for the house build that has existing mortgage already
I have a house that has existing mortgage of $400k left. I am thinking of demolishing the house and rebuilding a new one that needs $750k.
While I understand that I will have to pay interest only construction mortgae for 12 months, what will be my total mortgage amount after house is built?
Will it be $400k that is left plus the $750k making it $1,150,000? Or it will be $750k considering old house don't exist anymore?
Please advise.

I have been trying to learn to write with my non dominant hand for four years now and I failed at it. Of course I write but it's never as quick as my right hand and it's only little bit better than children's hand writing. I have practiced that just because I thought left-handedness is cool since a little kid.
Fast forward now I don't care about writing with left hand but I want to learn spanish and I am dedicating 1000hrs to be fluent (i checked the minimum requied from CEFR) but I fear what if I fail at it like i did with left hand writing training? So please what do you think? Unlike our hand muscle; is our brain guaranteed to learn what's given in certain period of time.
By the way I just had the fear, I don't have any normal learning problem. In fact I am clever student, am good with grammars; I am fluent in English and its my second language but then I have learnt that since grade1 and school subjects were given in English.
Sorry it's long, but if you ever learnt a foreign language to fluency; were you able to achieve fluency accurately by your timing?
Fluency for me( being able to express yourself fluidly without having need to translate back to your language).
