2024.11.25 23:29 loggerboy9325 AWS Data Center Technician Role questions
A little bit of background on myself. I have 3 AWS certs(ccp,saa, and sap). Also have a couple projects on aws including my website I made. I've build a few pcs in my life and have used linux as my daily os for a year now. So I'm really comfortable in the CLI. I have no college degree btw or real world IT experience.
Amazon bought a data center not to far from me very recently in March. I went to a virtual job event for data center roles at the beginning of this month. About a week later they sent me a automated email about some of their data center roles. I applied to the Data Center Technician/Data Center Operations Role at the data center near me on Nov. 15
I haven't gotten contacted by a amazon recruiter yet. I've checked my job application and it still says submitted I'm assuming my application passed their initial screening process which assuming is probably ATS or some automated software.
My first question is when do you think I may get contacted by the recruiter? keep in mind this data center they bought in march so I would think they need some people.
My second question I guess would be amazons interview process ?
My third question would be what would I expect the daily tasks of the role be ? I guess that would depend on what level I would be interviewing for.
I know I'm getting a little bit ahead of myself but just wanted to ask some questions for those of you that have went through the process and have worked or working in the same role.

I've read some comments that vol 14 covered a whopping 11 episodes and that vol 18 was bigger than that so why does season 5 only have a couple episodes left?
I can't imagine how good the LN is compared to the anime and I wonder who decides how much episodes an anime can have for 1 season because man I wish they just made season 5 have 22-24 episodes. I'll still enjoy season 5 as an anime only though

2024.11.25 23:29 Ok-External-9621 Salomon Shift Pro 100w AT Ski Boot, Women's: A Review
Overall, I won't recommend these boots.
So far, I've used the boots a total of about 15 resort days and about 3 days in the backcountry. I’m an intermediate/ advanced skier in-bounds and a beginner in the backcountry/ touring world.
I bought th boots new. They are light, about a 7-8/10 in a scale of comfort (my soles are generally sore by end of day but can withstand about consecutive 3 days).
Qualitywise, I am not completely satisfied. By my 8th use, same season if my purchase, the buckles on the 3rd clip started warping upward for both boots. Because they were within the warranty period, I contacted Salomon's customer service for a warranty claim. They responded by sending me used, mismatching buckles and called it done.
I was able to get the boots repaired by a local shop, and asked Salomon if the repair could be reimbursed. They declined my request.
I don't believe that after 8 uses, on new boots, that the Shift Pro boots price point reflect the quality expected from Salomon. Additionally, I will not buy Salomon in the future, given their lack of quality and support for their products.

How would people getting degrees help or hinder the syndicalist movement? On one hand, I see the fallacious idea of meritocracy as something that could hold us back (since class mobility is quite heavily restricted), and on the other, I see potential in people ‘earning’ more money to survive more comfortably/at all (especially in areas with high cost of living). How can this be reconciled, if possible?

I feel like I've seen the inverse of this question a bit, can any group TTRPG be played solo, and I think due to emulators and the like, the answer to this is "pretty much yes". But I wondered if the inverse was true. Do you think it's possible to play any solo-specific game with a group of players? Are there any solo games you can think of where this definitely wouldn't work? I figure some tweaking to any given system would be neccassary, but that feels true of the inverse question too.
