2024.11.25 23:41 dragonfliesloveme I just put some penne in some boiling water from a previously opened box. A bug was floating in the water, so i got it out. Is the pasta ok to eat after it cooks?
So i opened up the box all the way, like opened the bottom part too, and looked at the box and didn’t see any other bugs. There was only the one bug in the boiling water after i dumped the pasta in. The box isn’t old, bought it a few weeks ago
Will the boiling water kill any gross stuff from the bug lol?
I think i want to eat the pasta, but i just want to make sure that it’s safe.

New(ish) to all of this and feeling lost.
Hi everyone. I’m going to try to keep from rambling here, but I’m fairly lost and overwhelmed. I apologize in advance if this gets too lengthy.
I got Covid in March of 2023, and I haven’t been the same since. In fact, I am progressively getting worse, it seems.
I’ve had all the blood tests, and of course everything looks “fine,” except for a recent spike in something that is now pointing to auto immune issues.
I have had my symptoms blamed on my age (48F) and my weight. I was put on HRT and lost 60 pounds. The last couple of months, the weight is coming off without me really trying, and I’ve battled my weight my entire life.
I have a laundry list of symptoms that I won’t list all of here, but I am just so overwhelmed by all of this.
I think the most life altering of my symptoms right now is the exhaustion and accompanying brain fog. I am so tired I cannot fully function. I have had to go down to very part time hours at work, and my job was one of my main joys in life.
Before Covid, I easily worked 50 hours a week, went to the gym 5-6 days a week, took care of my home, went out, did fun things. Now I work 3-4 hours a day, come home, and lay on the couch. I can’t do much else. I’ve learned the hard way if I try to do too much it destroys me for a long time after, and some days even a shower is too much.
I hate this damn illness. It has taken so much from me. It killed my best friend in May of 2021. The rest of my friends, save one, have basically abandoned me. It has taken my health. I don’t even know who I am any more.
All of this to say, I’m just looking for help, I guess. To know I’m not alone in this. To know what other people are doing to cope.

I’ve had an inflation fetish for a while now. It’s not something I talk about really, but I've been wanting to tell SOMEONE, though I'd rather not talk about it to people close to me.
This interest started when I was younger, even if they memories now are small fragments. Scenes like Violet turning into a blueberry in Willy Wonka or Aunt Marge inflating in Harry Potter caught my attention. They were strange and intriguing, and I couldn’t stop thinking about them for a while.
After a little the interest became dormant, but as I grew up during puberty with the early internet, I found similar content online on the NSFW side. At first, it felt random, but over time, I realized it connected back to those childhood memory fragments. Eventually, I understood it as a fetish—something that excited me more than other things when it came to pleasure
What fascinated me then and now me is the way the body changes, expanding, and transforming in different ways. It’s exciting to imagine for others, especially with the reactions involved: surprise, pleasure, or even discomfort. With it being an unreachable thing in real life makes it even more interesting to me.
Over time I've become drawn to stories and art about it because they add depth and make it feel more believable (IMO). In real life, I’d love to explore it in creative ways with a partner, but only if they shared the interest. Only problem being there isn't anything that realistically could simulate it.
