So I'm not the greatest artist, but making shit art a lot is how you get to making good art eventually. I think.
I've actually improved a shit ton since I started drawing every day again. I never really stopped drawing, just stopped doing it often enough to build skill. I have that common ADHD issue of being perpetually strapped to a dopamine-seeking missile, subject to explosive collisions with hobbies that dissipate into mist after a certain duration. Sometimes I circle back, though. Glad I did with drawing.
I'd never really tried to do anything realistic until recently though, especially drawing men. For whatever reason whenever I drew faces, it was all hot chicks all the time, lol. I probably drew literally a thousand of those between July and now. And a thousand IS a lot. Holy fuck.
What probably kept me from trying to do a realistic portrait until now though was that I simply could not. The one of Aes is actually the first full-size one I ever did of a dude, and it's on cheap printer paper with a shitty, grainy charcoal drawing of a bird on the back.
I assumed it would turn out embarrassingly bad and end up thrown out, so why waste decent paper? The grainy part of that kinda got in the way of smooth lines and shading on the other side, but not enough to totally ruin it.
Compared to the photo I used for reference I think it actually turned out kind of alright. Relative to my expectations, anyway.
Anyways, I hope you guys like these. If not, wait a few months. I'll get there.

I'm using a Lenovo gaming laptop with RTX 3070 with its own monitor (2560x1600) and was able to get 120-140fps. But when gaming on an external monitor (2560x1440) and was only able to get 80-100fps on the same game . Any idea what could be wrong?

Why won't most doctors prescribe us parenteral painkillers, if we all know that oral ones won't work for the more severe and sudden types of pain? For example, it's completely heartbreaking to go to the kidney stones subreddit and find that the average person who has a kidney stone attack, aka renal colic, never has anything at home that works, so has to suffer with one of the worst pains known until getting admitted to the ER and being given effective meds, instead of being able to take them at home right away.
So why does this happen? If it's because they don't wanna prescribe self-administerable injectables due to the added risks, then a) does it actually make sense to prescribe them to much less urgent things, such as IM injections for hormonal treatments, and not for having someone's back if they ever need it for extreme pain? And b) why not prescribe other parenteral forms, which are about as effective as IV but without any added risks, such as intranasal? It's already common to prescribe intranasal painkillers for more severe types of headaches for the reasons that I've talked about, so why not do that for other severe pains like kidney stone attacks? Finally c) if you don't wanna prescribe opiates, it's also known that parenteral Nsaids are equally effective, actually probably even more effective for renal colic specifically, without being controlled medications.
So why does this happen? Is it because most doctors just don't know any better? Is it because of any silly regulations? I've asked two real life doctors and they just said they couldn't do it.

To give you all some context, My father is 5'8 and my mother is 5'1 my grandfather from my dad's side is 5'9. I haven't hit puberty and my dad hit it, when he was 15, grew about 5-6 inches during puberty. My doctor said my predicted height would around 5'5 and 5'6(don't remember exactly, it was three months ago) Then she asked If had hit puberty and I answered no, she said I'll be taller than the predicted height. Is there anything that I can to that can help me to grow? And how would I possibly grow while puberty? I'm just wanting to find out, other people's opinions on it, and see what I can possibly do. I’ve already set up an appointment with a doctor this coming December.

I currently have an old 13’ Apple Mac laptop. If I want to do illustrations and create/ design ect. I’m also a marketing student who need something to research and write essays ect. Any body have any decent suggestion as to what would be perfect for me. I also need it to be easy to carry around as I’m sick to death of the current weight of my bag.
I want something worth the money in the long run. This is my investment piece so I need it to be worth it!
