Bit of context because I know it sounds like an unhealthy relationship but they have honestly been the most secure partner I've ever dated.
Me and my gf have been dating for 5 months and there was pretty much no romance coming from her end (due to her being kind of avoidant). I will buy her flowers, take her out to dinner and generally try to make her feel special/a priority. It's hard because her work is crazy hours and is on call 2-3 days a week so we don't spend much time together and the time we do it's usually one or both of us too tired to actually spend quality time together.
I've tried to involve myself more in her hobbies and her in mine, and we have both been supportive of each other's lives when we can.
Recently I was performing for a queer event and she was there even though she hasn't been around those spaces much. Someone touched me non consentually several times and I pretty much got overwhelmed and had to leave where I was performing. She saw and thought that I was instigating because I am the man but honestly I really needed her to step in and "protect me". We have talked about the night and realised we both needed to communicate more and we both need to be their for each other in more deliberate ways but I honestly am still ruffled up by it all.
We are both bi, and so even though we are in a heterosexual facing relationship, we are both still queer. I've dated people of different genders but I'm her first official partner. I just wish she came up to protect me and maybe its due to the fact she's a woman and it was a man who was non consentually touching me. But I've got it stuck in my head that any of my male presenting exes would have intervened immediately, whether I was intentionally wanting to be touched or not.
She says she's going to try and be more deliberate in our relationship and try to meet me half way, and it gives me a lot of hope that we can work through things like this, but I just feel exhausted by it all and feel like I'm asking her to change something fundamental about her and her character, which I don't really want to force.
Apologies for the long explanation. I am just feeling deflated about this relationship and even though she wants to try and make changes i feel horrible for wanting to just call quits. Am I the asshole?

Since June of this year I have been trying to get into flight school. I’m a 19 year old high school graduate with aspirations to become a pilot. However, time and time again the FAA have denied me because I was on antidepressants during high school. I have quit taking the medication and have been off of it since April. I am currently looking at a start date in January if everything goes right but if it doesn’t and I’m delayed further I need to seriously consider if flight school is what I want. Any advice on what to do? I’m contemplating going back to school but I’m not sure if that’s the move.
