Buenas compatriotas como andan?? Me ayudan con una pavada?? Y de paso hacemos educación financiera comunitaria (?).
Les hago una consulta de sus experiencias previas por algo que me pasó hoy y que no me termina de cerrar. No es de vida o muerte, capaz es sólo una negligencia que me mandé y aprenderé de la experiencia y punto. Pero pido sus anécdotas porque me queda la duda ahora.
Saqué préstamo personal en banco provincia (Bs.As) a fines de octubre. A 24 cuotas mensuales o sea 2 años. De mi lado todo bárbaro, usé la plata y me sobró. Me es manejable la cuota, etc. Ahora bien, yo entré (y no me encontré desmentida de parte del banco en el proceso, quizás no indagué correctamente o no sé) con una idea de cómo pre-cancelar adelantadamente cuotas de capital (y el interés asociado) que hoy en el banco me rechazaron (arrancando porque el sistema no les dejaba hacer otra cosa igual, no hubo mucha explicación, pero igual terminaron justificándose...).
PRIMERO LO PRIMERO
Antes de pasar a la discrepancia, repaso del sistema francés: te dan un capital monto "M". Te cobran un interés total "I". Todo se devuelve en una cantidad "n" de cuotas. Se dividen en cuotas tanto el monto total a devolver como el interés a pagar. Esas cuotas no son todas iguales mes a mes sino que, sumadas, hacen a una cuota mensual que sí tiene un mismo valor mes a mes, pero compuesta en proporción distinta de capital y de interés. Y se arman las cuotas de forma que las primeras se componen casi todo de INTERÉS, y las últimas son casi todo CAPITAL.
Pongo un ejemplo inventado simple, de capital prestado $50.000, interés total $50.000 también y cuotas mensuales de $10.000:
Cuota 1: $500 capital + $9.500 interés = $10.000
Cuota 2: 1.500 capital + $8.5000 interés. = $10.000
Cuota 3: 2.500 capital + $7.5000 interés. = $10.000
Cuota 4: 3.500 capital + $6.5000 interés. = $10.000
Cuota 5: 4.500 capital + $5.5000 interés. = $10.000
Cuota 6: 5.500 capital + $4.5000 interés. = $10.000
Cuota 7: 6.500 capital + $3.5000 interés. = $10.000
Cuota 8: 7.500 capital + $2.5000 interés. = $10.000
Cuota 9: 8.500 capital + $1.5000 interés. = $10.000
Cuota 10: 9.500 capital + $500 interés. = $10.000
LA DISCREPANCIA
- YO CREÍA (por gente que me explicó cómo sacó muchas veces en el mismo banco y -parecía- mismo tipo de préstamo, y precanceló como yo esperaba) que podía, aparte de pagar todos los meses una cuota, precancelar cuotas PRÓXIMAS, INMEDIATAS (o sea las de mayor proporción de INTERÉS y menor proporción de CAPITAL), pagando el monto de capital, y eliminando el interés asociado. Esto tendría dos variantes:
- Eliminar cuotas del final del préstamo (termina X meses antes). Siguiendo el ejemplo planteado, pensaba que si yo pagaba la cuota 1 y antes de que se emita la cuota 2 iba al banco y pagaba adelantadamente $17.500 de capital, iba a estar cancelando las cuotas 2+3+4+5+6+7 (suman $17.500 de capital) y ahorrándome el interés asociado (que suma en este ejemplo $32.500). Eliminadas esas cuotas, cuando viniera la fecha de cobro nuevamente, iba a pagar de nuevo una cuota de $10.000, pero en vez de ser la #2 iba a ser la #8. 2 cuotas más y terminaría el préstamo.
- Reducir el monto de intereses totales (terminaría en la misma fecha la devolución del préstamo, pero el monto de las cuotas venideras es menor). En este ejemplo, el interés es igual al capital prestado ($50K y $50K). Para hacerla simple, sería como que al reducirse el capital a devolver de $50K a $32.5K, el interés total se reduciría igual (en este ejemplo simple inventado) y entonces las cuotas totales pasarían de ser $10.000 a, ponele, $6500. No me interesa tanto para mi anécdota hacer este número bien.
- EN EL BANCO me dijeron que sí, podía precancelar cuotas de capital y ahorrarme el interés, PERO ARRANCANDO POR LAS MÁS FUTURAS, lo cual cambia toda la ecuación: en el ejemplo, con los mismos $17.500, podría pre-cancelar menos de 2 cuotas: la 10 y parte de la 9 (que ambas suman $18.000 de capital) y ahorrarme su interés (menos de $2.000). O sea, poner $17.500 HOY para ahorrarme $2.000 dentro de 10 meses. Lo cual no hace falta explicar, es una boludez.
Como ven, me llevé un sorpresón. ¿Qué onda, cómo es?

Spoilers for those who haven’t read this book yet.
I just finished the book and I didn’t like it but I didn’t hate it either. I started reading it thinking it was this good horror book but then it dove into fantasy?…idek what I was expecting but it wasn’t this. The overall story was good but I had a few gripes with it.
- Mouse’s breakup with her boyfriend was completely irrelevant and should have cut it out. I completely forgot about it until it was brought up again when she was at the coffee shop. Like I get adding backstories but this wasn’t needed.
- What was up with phone call to the secret society/ the weird people who were at the funeral? The weird people at the funeral kept getting brought up but it didn’t add much to the story. The dad already said it was a closed casket and that Cotgrave died outside so she could have put the “big twist” together without having the hint from the guy on the phone.
- This is a gripe that I have with all authors. Adding characters towards the end of a book just to kill them off because they were only added to keep the story moving.
- Why not have her find the Green book? It would have explained so much because everything that Mouse was going off of was the speculation of an old man losing it.
- The ending felt lazy. And most of the explanations fell flat for me. All of the build up just for that.
What are your thoughts on the book?

 | Over the last few days, I have been building a new home in NMS, my first super serious build. It features a remake of my real home a 4 story townhome, but then I made a borg cube which has many levels of useful and currency making plants growing inside to harvest everyday. Because the atmosphere is what it is on this planet, pulling the camera away far enough to get it all in shot made the place look washed out. The other two photos are what the environment really looks like, it is super wild because the grass is red and brown up close and the further away it goes, it converts to gray, then green/teal and then blue. It changes like that as you walk. I almost flaired this as “behavioral” but not sure it fits… basically, I have two cats, a 7 y/o boy and 2 y/o girl cat, and the latter is SO much messier.
I’ve had my boy for two years and never fully appreciated how neat and tidy he is, especially when it comes to the litter box. I have two HUGE top entry litter boxes—they have to be big because he is a big boy. When it was just him, I swept about once a week, and never noticed litter anywhere in the apartment except for right around where the litter box was.
I just got my girl cat a couple months ago and my goodness is she a mess! Instead of stepping up onto the lid of the box and then hopping down from there, she leaps STRAIGHT from the litter box onto the wood floor, also skipping the mat surrounding the box. This always ends up flinging litter everywhere, and it means she still has the litter dust on her paws, which then gets all over my furniture and other rugs.
I know the size likely isn’t an issue since she’s smaller than my boy cat and he fits in the litter boxes just fine. I’m wondering if maybe she just needs time to adjust to this style of litter box—the fact that she uses it at all is a win in my book, since I know some cats are picky about that.
She was a stray before being fostered and rescued, so she’s not as well socialized as my boy cat either. Do you think that watching him might teach her to be neater with the litter? Or is this more of a personality thing, and I need to resign myself to sweeping up litter every day? Any advice at all is welcome!

2024.11.26 01:47 PerkyTitty I unlocked all 6 of my cap breakers on my second build a week or two ago, but I have no idea where to put them. Any suggestions?
 | 6’10” 200 lbs SF that splits time pretty evenly between 3 and 4. I think I’m gonna use two on vertical and driving dunk for HoF AW and some better dunk packages. Considering bumping standing +1 for Zion package. I think the only badges I can really get are from upgrading post control and passing, but I’m not sure how helpful they’ll be. I have noticed over the last few weeks a certain pattern is occurring with the Google products that I use. Google keep on my Samsung phone will get disabled. There's no reason for this and the only time I notice it is when the Google keep widget on my home screen disappears. Also I've noticed that I get Google verification code emails even though I'm not logging in somewhere or changing anything. Also, and this may not be relevant, I have noticed that Gemini will fluctuate between allowing me to ask it questions without unlocking my lock screen and being unable to answer questions without unlocking my lock screen. I have no clue honestly if any of these things are connected but it's just very weird behavior.
Any thoughts?

2024.11.26 01:47 OMGNaNaBrianna I desperately need to lower my GH.
I keep losing shrimp. All of my parameters are within acceptable range except my GH. It’s off the charts high. My tank has been running since July of this year. And yes, I have a beta as a tank-mate but I work from home and he shows absolutely no aggression towards them. The shrimp I am losing are full bodies just laying on their side. No signs of foul play. Nitrates and Nitrites always run at 0. ph is between 7.4 and 7.6. Temp is 75. No ammonia. I just bought the master test kit in hopes of accuracy or some explanation. I have some plants, but not many. Super low tech…..just gravel. I have done a couple 10% water changes and over the course of the last month added about 4 gallons of distilled water between changes and water evaporation. I lost all of the first 10 I bought, and a few of my most recent purchase of 25. I see sheds all through the tank, but I have lost a few to the “white line” so the GH is the ONLY thing I can think is the culprit. How can I lower this safely?

Had the joy of travelling from Dover to Oxford today, all sorts of roadworks and such on the m25 and the m40 junction closed.. but my question is.. with all of the works and lane closures there where plenty of variable speed limits 40/50 etc.. but I was doing 48/49mph verified by a gps (car Speedo’s are always a little generous I get that) and there where a whole bunch of trucks going past me at what seemed like a fair few mph more.. is there a leniency that I’m not aware of ? 10% or something on average speed checks?
