Hi, I'm trying to figure out a way to work in Germany. I'm so confused and would love help.
Relevant information about me and the job:
- would be for a minimum of 90 days - I'm a US citizen - I'm also a Canadian citizen - I live in British Columbia - I have no university degrees - I would be working as a nanny for a specific family (I already have the job offer) - I have a few months to apply for things, as the job would be April-June (possibly starting earlier if I can figure out a longer stay situation with the Visas) - I can't use the Au Paire visa as I can't drive
I've figured out through this and this link that I can enter Germany freely and then apply for a residence/work permit. (Is that even true? Do I need a degree still?) However, I can't work until the permit goes through. Is there any way to apply in advance, and start working immediately after entering the country? If so, where & how do I do that?
TDLR: Given my situation, what Visa should I apply for and how ?

Sorry this is just an angry rant, I'm mad at myself for giving myself this disorder
ok so like my bulimia isn't even necessarily about weight or calories- I've maintained my ugw for almost 2 years now which is epic but like holy fucking shit I wish I could stop b/p out of anxiety, like sometimes I don't even overeat and just purge out of anxiety. My mom has struggled with addiction and I'm just kinda forced to watch it forever, I remember seeing her all methed up when I was 11 and then in and out of rehabs, I'm watching the same shit happen again at 21 like holy fucking shit she is my biggest trigger. I just want her to love me and take care of me but like how can she do that if she can't take care of herself??? My whole family triggers me but especially her omfg and she told me she'd stop abusing drugs if I'd stop purging. I'm trying!!!! But just knowing that nothing I do can "fix" my mom and she'll never be able to give me the love I crave so badly kills me inside- idk why this is my biggest trigger for bulmia.
I'm so lethargic from constantly having to practicing mindfulness and all this other mental health mumbo jumbo (ok it's helpful but it feels like that atp) just to relapse repeatedly whenever I see or think too much about my mom. Idk maybe some part of me wishes I'll get grossly sick so she can care for me but that'll literally never ever happen. I'm going crazy I'm so alone my bf doesn't even function as a person but I love him to death yet he forgets I exist and doesn't care about anything to do with me so like what the hell I should just let this disorder kill me. I've already permanently damaged my guts and it's only been a bit longer than a year since I've had this stupid disease I wanna give up I'm SO TIRED. Literally last week I purged PB fit and protein powder like this is getting ridiculous

Mr. Hamilton said that the corporation needed an employment model that leaned more heavily on part-time work rather than full-time jobs in order to compete with delivery giants such as Amazon. “Many young people are not looking for full-time, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. jobs. They want flexibility. They could work for Canada Post part-time and have other part-time jobs during the week,” he said.
My understanding is that "young people" are tired of being offered nothing and told to be happy so I'm not sure where this guy gets his news.
What kind of nation just throws away infrastructure like Canada Post? What happened to the nationalists that believe in an actual Canada?

Just leaving my opinion of the mars 2.0.
I was nervous when I first bought it because the battery said it had a full charge and only lasted about 11 miles. However, after fully charging it that thing rips.
I’m getting 20+ miles going 30mph. It’s gotten to the point where I need a helmet because this thing goes so fast. The rack is also pretty nice. Overall, it seems like kind of a copy of gotrax’s bikes, but I don’t know the deal with all of that. Definitely has some upgrades from the gotrax lite and pro that are worth it like the shifter and the quality of the tires.
Considering e-bikes are relatively a new thing I would give the mars 2.0 a 4.7/5.

hai so when i’m at work our just out in public i stare at the ground or am on my phone bc i don’t want to talk to ppl(i always run into someone ik and they want to talk) this is normal i feel like.
but there’s this lady at my job everyday she says “what’s wrong your eyes are crying” and her and other ppl at work like try to go out of there way to make me smile, it’s kind of them but it really annoys me. There was this one customer that every time she saw me she said “smile for me” and i at first gave a half ass smile but after three times of that i said no. bc why the frick do you care if i smile? leave me alone and buy your overpriced groceries. Why can’t they just leave me alone? my life is kinda lame and i have depression and stuff, how do i get ppl off my back?

I am a new owner of a 2023 Bolt EUV (yay!) and it's been great so far. I did tons of research to make sure it was a good fit, and I felt like I knew most of the features even during the test drive :)
So far I've been using public charging nearby, as I live in an apartment complex without chargers, but am visiting family soon and would like to test out using the OEM dual level charge cord that came with the vehicle. Unfortunately though, it seems the 120V adapter is stuck. I have tried very hard to pull it out of the base so I can put in the 240V one, but it seems impossible. I don't want to rip the cord.
Has anyone else had this issue? TIA!

2024.11.26 01:40 rodrigomorr New to DnD, looking for tips :)
So I started a campaign about 4 weeks ago with some friends and we are ALL completely new to DnD.
I had played BG3 but ya'll know it's not exactly the same.
So I know the basic combat stuff and spells and that's been helpful but I feel like because they didn't know absolutely anything about the game, we're missing out on a lot of improvisation that we could do.
We've all loved the exploration part but when it comes to combat they're usually just going "I attack with my rapier" over and over, and almost never try to do some improvisation throw, our DM is also a first timer and I feel like he gets a bit frustrated that the crew isn't using their imagination as much.
What can I do to try to help my DM to get the crew to improvise more?
