2024.11.26 01:39 According-Natural733 Does anyone else have one that doesn't bother you?
The 1989 scifi film "The Abyss" is the only movie about deep sea things that doesn't trigger my thalassophobia. Every other movie or game makes me want to crawl out of my skin. I have a theory as to why.
I am originally from Columbia, SC and the movie was filmed in Gaffney SC. When was a teenager, I did a research project on the Cherokee Nuclear Power Plant and how the movie was largely filmed there. I built a (very crude) small model based off of images found online at the time of the filming of the movie have researched how other deep sea movies are made and they still give me the heebie jeebies. But not The Abyss. I find myself wondering if others have similar movies or games that don't bother them.
So, do you have a movie or game that deals with deep sea exploration or creatures that doesn't make you wanna implode?

Hello! I've been desling with a lot of sympotoms and Im not sure if I still havej pylori or what..
Year 2021, started hpylori treatment, at the end I started with diarrhea and 1 one day Loose 5.5kg that never came back again. Then also more symptoms came, heartburn, muscle spasms, strange stools. 1 month later I got cdiff... And my symptoms started to worse. Very tough brain fog, memory issues, muscle spasm everywhere, back pain,.siatic, pain, memory issues, tingling in hands and foot, headache the whole day, diarrhea, couldn't even barely walk or speak, etc..
I started to take lot of things from lot of "Drs" that didn't help much to be honest. After 3 years I know that if I don't take gluten some symptoms get better, if I take betaine HCL also other symptoms improved.
It looks like I have hipoclorhidria or achlorhydria, and probably Non celiac gluten sensivity.
Which test should I do now ? back then, they told me I was negat if he after the treatment...
Due my issue with cdiff I can't take antibiotics.
I will like to do a natural cycle.

I was stepping out of a bodega earlier today — when this woman passed in front of me in a violently emerald, long coat. The wind picked up a few seconds later and her coat fanned out behind her, like supercharged plasma escaping a dying star. I was so arrested by this dramatic scene.
And now I want a long coat too. (Maybe it’ll land me all the wrong attention and validation I’m constantly seeking.)
What should I be looking for? Brands? Fabric types? Type of coat?
I tried Burberry, but all the offerings look tired and uninspired and very black and gray and brown. (Did all the designers from 2014 die or something?)
I don’t have a budget. I prefer brands with certain provenance (e.g., Paynter Jacket), but will make do on this occasion.

So my son (14) absolutely despises doing anything other than video games and watching TV. He's currently grounded from everything because of lying, and not being home when he should have been. seems The past 2 years or so, every time he's angry, he says that i (his mom, 38f) make him want to kill himself. I made him put his own clothes in the washer and dryer. I took the clothes out of the dryer and put a blanket in. Nothing felt wet when I took it out. He folded 3 pieces and started putting it all back in the dryer, saying "most of this is wet"
Sooo I went out and checked it, feeling EVERY PIECE of clothing, low and behold. All dry! He got pissy and asked why I was doing that?!
I said, everything is dry, just fold it and put it away, please. He responded that everything wet was in the dryer. So I checked the dryer. All of his clothes were dry (about 3 minutes between him putting the clothes in and me checking, for reference)
He was instantly extremely angry and screaming that this is why he wants to kill himself. I never believe him, etc. Says he's been planning to kill himself for quite a while. I told him again, to please fold his laundry and put it away.
I know I probably didn't handle this very well. I'm trying to let him calm down before I say anything else.

2024.11.26 01:39 quacktards Surefire x300u + DG-14 switch issues (p320 spectre)
 | The DG-14 switch for the surefire x300 isn't sitting flush with the trigger guard. The picatinny rail it locks into doesn't allow it to. If the light isn't locked into the rail and pushed as deep into the trigger guard as possible, the DG switch is a little more flush. Anybody have any ideas? I can't imagine this is how it's supposed to be. Do I need a different model of the DG switch? (12, 13, 15, etc).
