i’ve been working at my location for almost 6 months now, and i haven’t really made any friends there. i feel like with the amount of talking behind everyone’s back i hear people doing it just makes me not feel comfortable enough to tell people anything about myself. i’m also a few years older than most other partners i work with, and am going through some mental health things rn so i don’t even have much to tell anyone other than how i’m depressed and this job has made my social anxiety 10 times worse lol. a lot of the time i’m in panic mode when im at work bc i know they’re watching how much i’m not talking to customers and that’s really hard for me to do. i’m very introverted so it may be my fault that i’m not able to open up to people, but i heard a few of them talking today saying it’s weird that they don’t know anything about me.
ive been thinking about transferring to a different location for other reasons, but i’m afraid the same thing might happen again. it’s hard to tell if i’m the problem or if the way i’m feeling is really valid bc these girls do be gossiping and that makes me super uncomfortable. i’m really picky about who i make friends with and it’s just hard for me to feel safe in a friendship if i feel like they’re not being honest with me. so is it normal to not be close with anyone after 6 months, and if you were me would you transfer hoping that next time could be different?

 | It's annoying so many real estate data are gatekept from the NZ general public, you either have to buy it from CoreLogic or pay for some subscription, the government isn't helping with it too. So I searched through the internet and downloaded all the rental listings available, and ask AI to generate some interesting insights for me. And here's what I found interesting. For tenants, you better ask to move in a smokers allowed property Graph for median rent against the pets/smokers allowed policy For landlords, they can choose to allow pets/smokers to their properties, without the data, I would've thought allowing both pets and smokers would put the landlord in the best position to ask for a better rent. The data above shows that the highest rent would go to the "pets allowed/smokers not allowed" category, and lowest rent goes to "pets not allowed/smokers allowed" category. A logical conclusion would be allowing smokers to the property would reduce the rental price. So my friends, next time you rent, remember to check if they are allowing smokers, if they do, ask for a lower rent 😉 Auckland City Centre has ~4x more listings than Wellington Te Aro Number of listings for different suburbs Considering most of the jobs/companies are located in Auckland CBD, this doesn't really come to a surprise to me, but ~4x more than second place is still a bit shocking to know. I have to move to Chicago from Detroit for a personal reason. I’m at cross roads. I do well at my current job and industry (115base, 150-180 ote). I have to leave because of a hybrid policy without operations in Chicago.
Is SaaS all that it’s cracked up to be? Now would be the time to switch as I’m 30 moving to a City filled with all the major players. I don’t mind it but I’m wondering if the grass is greener

2024.11.26 01:50 chasrmartin I just upgraded to iOS 18, and all my Ulysses files have disappeared
So far, all support has offered is it's a syncing problem. Trying the steps in the FAQ, however, demonstrated that my files are syncing, but still don't have my files.
And no, the backup files on my iPad are gone too, possibly because I upgraded my Ulysses this morning before opening it.
I have literal years of work in those files. I've been traveling and not using my Mac but I could turn it on ... in theory my files should still be in iCloud but honestly I'm afraid to open Ulysses on my Mac and find the files gone there as well?
Does anyone know where Ulysses hides its files in iCloud?

Hi! I want to get my friend a film camera for christmas and was hoping to get some help deciding which kinds to look for. This idea came about because we often get disposable cameras for fun and take photos of us and our friends on nights out and I think he would really love having an actual film camera that takes much better photos.
I want something that can be fully automatic: Ideally it would be something easy to use, very straightforward in terms of just take the camera out and take a picture, that is how I envision him using it, like during nights out with friends.
Basically I want something that can easily be used just like how a lot of people use disposable cameras right now, for fun / in-the-moment photography during social gatherings, but that has higher quality.
Must-have qualities:
- very compact and small !! (this is why the olympus stylus cameras are so appealing to me). the idea is something he can take out with him easily. I like that the stylus / MJU cameras are smaller than a disposable camera and i want something as small as those if possible
- automatic focus
- flash
- produces high quality, sharp, nice looking photos
I really do want the camera to produce high quality photos like the MJU II seems to do, I know some people may want to say I should get something like the M35 that is basically a substitute for a disposable camera but that is not what I am looking for- I want to get him the best little point and shoot film camera possible with the qualities that I have listed within that budget.
I have looked at some similar cameras like the Konica Bigmini, Canon Prima Mini, Canon Sure Shot, Panasonic C-625, Olympus AF-10, but I think all of these are bigger than the Olympus Stylus / MJU and I do really like the size of the stylus series
