My iphone has been doing this thing where it will just stop letting me view texts and do facetime calls. When this happens I have to power off and back on my phone, turn off messages and facetime, power down and on my phone again, turn them back on, and then power off and on again and atp it is just so annoying and I want to know what is wrong and how to fix it. When i open the messages app, it just shows a black screen and when i go to close out the tab, it shows the most recent text screen i was on. Facetimes will ring indefinitely and then wont let me end them.

2024.11.26 02:50 Mysterious_Image_915 NIU BQI-C3 E-Bike Battery Lock Broken
Hello everyone! About a year ago I purchased a NIU BQI-C3 E-bike off of best buy. I honestly loved it in the beginning but as of July I have had non-stop issues and I am learning that my purchase may have been a mistake in the long run. First I had issues with a loud grinding/ clunking noise during peddling which was thankfully fixed by taking it in and having my bike people reassemble the back motor. Now the lock to one of my batteries is broken. This really shouldn't be that big of an issue but we cannot get a hold of NIU to get a replacement lock. I have heard the tales of their customer service trying to find answers so I have a feeling they will continue to not help us further as all they have said was to send the bike back, which I have heard even more stories on. Does anyone with this bike know what kind of battery lock it has? Could it be generic? I am not super educated on e-bikes yet but my local repair shop is willing to replace it, but they wont do it unless I have the correct lock and I just cant find anything on it online. The current lock just spins so my battery at the moment is permanently locked into my bike and I live a couple stories up making it unusable due to charging and weather.

I don’t think I have super high level misophonia but when it’s quiet and there’s a lot of chewing noise and smacking of the mouth, it does irritate me. My partner is Indian American. His parents grew up in India and only moved to the US as adults. His parents are lovely and kind. But his mom’s eating habits drive me bonkers. Constantly chewing with mouth open and smacking mouth sounds. Talks with a full mouth. Burps a bunch. Part of it is my own misophonia but the other part, to me, is that it is considered rude in the US to behave this way at a meal with others. My partner behaves similarly at times and I’ve basically had to teach him so he doesn’t do it when we’re out in public. He recently told me it’s culturally insensitive to point it out as it’s a part of Indian culture. But I don’t think it really is. And, more importantly, it is incredibly triggering to me. I don’t know how to politely say, “Can you please eat with your mouth closed and not speak with your mouth full?” How can I get respite from this without hurting feelings or being culturally insensitive? If this is in fact cultural, then I would certainly try to respect it. But I really do not think it is…

 | When I first started posting SAB in 2018 it was received really well. People were engaged and commenting, and it was such an exciting time to be on webtoons. I couldn’t wait to see what people had to say and what people were looking forward to. Unfortunately as a lot of comic artists on webtoon do, I overestimated how fast I could produce pages and quickly went through my backlog because I was so excited to share it. At the time I was dealing a brewing chronic illness that would eventually almost kill me, and as it started to wreck my body I got slower and slower, going from posting multiple pages a week to a few pages a month. People were understanding at first but less so when it kept happening. Then I had a falling out with some friends in real life, and this was the tipping point where everything crashed and burned. I got posted to some kind of lolcow forum with personal information only my friends would know. They made wild accusations, none of which were true, with cropped and edited tweets and pictures as “evidence.” Eventually people dug around and realized the accusations weren’t true and the forum died, but the damage had been done when people from those forums started flocking to my webtoon. My ex-friends made a bunch of alt accounts too and just went to town. My rating dropped from a 10 to a 2, my comments were filled with detailed fetish comments, slurs, and death threats, and my whole page was turned into a war zone. At the time webtoons had zero moderation so there was no way for me to block them or delete the comments, all people could do was report. Which meant anyone defending me would get reported to oblivion and deleted while the comments telling me to go die would stay. This lasted a long time and people eventually just left because they didn’t wanna deal with being threatened every time they left a comment. Since then webtoons has added a moderation feature, and those comments have been deleted and the accounts blocked, but it’s never been the same, and I hate thinking that they won. I post weekly now that I have proper treatment for my chronic illness, but there are still some fluctuations in quality because of it. SAB is something that’s deeply important to me because it’s a special interest, it’s something I think about and work on literally all the time and as much as I enjoy working on it alone, I feel like the experience I had of sharing it was ripped from me and it drives me nuts to post a page I’m so excited about only for it to feel like I’m posting to a ghost town. I’m eternally grateful for the people who did decide to stick around through all the chaos, and like I said I will always work on comics even if it’s just for me because it’s something I’m incredibly passionate about. But I can’t help but get sad thinking about what could have been. I’m hoping someday I get a second chance, but lately it just feels like I’m going full speed to nowhere. Has anyone else had anything similar happen with trolling or rate-bombing? I know webtoons has a general harassment problem, but has it gotten better over the years now that there’s moderation? And if you have, how do you deal with it? Hate comments themselves don’t bother me, but them chasing away other people does. And the fact that people will believe whatever without any evidence also irks me to no end. I’m 24F and I have been talking to this guy 25M for like 3 weeks now Last week he told me he could see himself dating me but he didn’t want to jump the gun
Today he told me I didn’t do anything and I’m awesome but he realized he isn’t ready for a relationship. I told him I’m not expecting us to move so fast I just want to get to know him more and have fun but he said he feels bad dragging me around while he’s figuring stuff out (he’s about to get promoted in navy E3 to E4 and etc)
I just stinks cause it’s not like we had a fight or anything and I know he said the classic line it’s not you it’s me….
But I know back in march another guy (25m now 26) told me the same thing about how he isn’t in the right place to have a relationship but he and I did actually have a fight so it didn’t feel as left field
Are guys actually not ready or are they just not into me I don’t really get it…I even told navy guy that if I did anything or if you’re not into me anymore just tell me
I want to know if I did something and he said no you’re an awesome person…really it’s cliche it’s me not you….sigh
It kind of hurts knowing you can do your best and it’s still not good enough

2024.11.26 02:50 Espaniel Just came across this sub. So I'll give you the simulation event that changed the way I think about everything
When younger, I moved to quite rural place in southern England and had to get a temporary job to tide me over. Fast.
I ended up calling a local pub to see if they had any bar work. The next day, a Saturday, I was in the pub in the backroom before opening time for a very informal "interview". Within 5 minutes I was asked to start the following Monday evening.
The next night, the Sunday evening, I had a very vivid and intense dream concerning an ex gf that I'm still on good terms and in regular contact with.
In this dream, she told me she collected coins and had a series that was missing the edition minted in 1952. I argued with her, quite forcefully, that the Post Office (The UK version of the USPS that also distribute new coins) didn't produce a coin in that series for that year and she argued, quite forcefully back, that they did. This went back and forth for a bit.
Upon waking I thought it was a very strange and vivid dream so WhatsApped her and told her about it because I thought it was kind of funny as she had no interest in collecting coins. We laughed about it.
The next day was the Monday I was due to start. I was behind the bar and a man came in. He had a bit of an odd manner about him, and started chatting to me. I noticed that the locals were giving me looks as if to try to warn me he was local village idiot.
Then, out of the blue and totally out of context, he asked me if I collected coins.
I said no and he said he did and started telling me of a series he had that was missing one coin. At this point I'd remembered the dream and mentally noted the coincidence but just listened.
He went on to tell me that he'd had an argument in the Post Office with the server when he went to order the coin and the server was telling him that a coin in that series wasn't issued that year, they argued back and forth.
By this time I was in a bit of silent shock to be honest and and I didn't want to continue the conversation.
But then he said what I really didn't want to hear.
The year of issue was 1952.
At first I thought it must be a very intense case of deja vu and was very flustered. Then I remembered I'd messaged my friend. I left my post and darted of to the bathroom to check my phone.
And there it was. The whole conversation I'd just had with a stranger, but sent in a message the day before.
I couldn't tell anyone because it was my first shift on a job and I didn't want the locals to think it was weird or crazy. I just had to finish my shift totally freaked out by what happened.
I never told anyone there, staff or locals what happened for the 6 months I worked there.

A 5 kg block is set into motion up an inclined plane with an initial speed of vi = 8m/s. The block comes to erst after traveling d = 3m along the plane, which is inclined at an angle of 30 degrees to the horizontal. For this motion, determine the friction force exerted on the block.
I ended up with the final equation (mgh-1/2 mv^2)/-x = Ff; Ff = umgcos30. According to the textbook, I'm correct, but why doesn't the force of gravity along the incline (mgsintheta) affect the block?
