I recently got Ark Survival Evolved for PC and was hoping to play with a friend but can't seem to find any way to do that outside of renting a server or methods using a spare PC (which neither of us have). I used to play Survival Evolved on Xbox One and don't remember having these same issues there or having me or my friend rent a server there. In both cases it was just two of us, hence why I don't want to have to go through crazy lengths to get a multiplayer island.
Is there some way to play multiplayer without renting a server? And if there isn't, what's the best company to rent a server from?

.I looked to see if there were rodent guards or covers to no avail. Anyone have a good answer to keeping squirrels from getting in the attic?
It's funny to watch them because they spin the blades around when they come in,.and they flop inside the attic every time,.but it doesn't stop them. We can watch them inside the attic or from outside. If I turn the lights on in the attic they all go scurrying out the vent, so if I could just keep them out that would be greatt... 😃

My landlord just sent a text with an image of a letter notifying me of a rent increase. I said okay, thanks for letting me know. Upon further inspection, the letter says rent will increase starting January. My rental agreement ends in August, 2025. From what I've seen, illinois law prohibits rent increases during a fixed lease. What should I do? Should I just refuse to pay the extra money? Can she kick me out if I refuse?
I'm already kind of tired of this landlord and will be looking to move, regardless.
Here's what she sent in the body of her text: "Unfortunately, all apartment insurance companies are dropping landlords and or skyrocketing insurance rates to own an apartment. Therefore, I'm sorry to say, but there needs to be a slight rent increase. You'll be receiving this letter this week."

This was a series of chapter books with maybe a small picture at the start of the chapter. I only read the first book. The series' title was a portmanteau of "Connect" and "Kids" or "Kinetic" and "Kids", so it was Connectikids or Kinetickids (Kinetikids). I want to say this came out around 1998 and the writepublisher set up a website where you could register and do more to interact with the story.
The train was kind of Snowpiercer-esque. As far as I remember, the kids only traveled around the US.
