Wasn't sure whether to put this under school or advice, but I think it fits more in the advice category. I'm a young GenZ teen, just turned thirteen a few months ago, actually. Sadly, I'm quite into politics and things involving the world in general. I am a democrat and I've known that I'm gay since I was eleven. Being a bit of a dumb kid, I told my friend that I liked him last year and everything fell apart.
I didn't know I lived in a shitty red pocket in my state until recently. Now, I don't have any friends, and I'm openly gay at my school. Kids are assholes and no one cares about me much. I've been a bit "depressed" or whatever the right word is to fit my emotion of nothing; not sure if depressed is it. Do any LGBTQ+ teens have any advice for someone in my situation?

2024.11.26 04:30 CalzoneBetrayal A few quartz cracking after Stage 2
I’m really bummed right now. Started tumbling this year and have had a few batches already. Decided to do a quartz batch this time around. Stage 1 ran these out fairly well and had no cracks. But in Stage 2, I was really shocked to see how cracked these came out. I cleaned these up with a toothbrush to try and get rid of grit. Wondering what my next move should be to try and smooth this out, if I should go back to Stage 1 or if I should do something different for Stage 2? Even though I’m sad, it’s all part of the learning process and still love this.
This was ran Stage 2 through the Nat Geo tumblr, 7 days, with ceramic.

This year over Thanksgiving day I am hosting a time trial competition between 8 of my family members that will be in town for the holiday. They will all be using the same car, same course, and will have 20 minutes each to set their best lap time. This will be with PSVR2 and a Logitech G PRO wheel setup. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively.
Today I wanted to ask you all what car and track that you think would be the most fun for everyone to compete? The car will get a custom turkey paint job for race day. 2024.11.26 04:30 Glad_Past_7491 Would you go to a party where your significant other was implicitly not invited ( and the other people were all couples)?
Mom recently mentioned a situation involving my uncle, where his wife was invited to an anniversary party, but my uncle was not mentioned or invited—only his wife.
Some context, My uncle and aunt for many years basically only had this couple ( who had their anniversary) as their friends, so they used to hang out alot, go on trips together, etc. Eventually my uncle began expanding his friend group so he was not able to spend as much time with his once close friends, but my uncle would still always help out whenever they asked for it and hung out with them whenever he could. But slowly their relationship weakened and the couple would make constantly make snide comments about how my uncle " has changed alot" and "you don't need us now that you have new friends".
I felt like my aunt should have not gone to a party filled with people who straight up disliked my uncle or never lost an opportunity to undermine him, and should have politely made some excuse to not go.
Mom said i am being extremely naive and that this is "not how the real world works". I do lack social experience and i do tend to make rash decisions in social situations but i sincerely believe in my opinion on this situation so i am confused.
What would you do in this situation?

So was just curious what everyone thought of placement. My husband was very nervous piercing me for the first time, but I really needed the help as I felt like I couldn't get a good visual on where it needed to be. I let him free hand it which is probably my bad. I think it's a little crooked - he went a little higher on the non daith side I think, to avoid the thicker part of the cartilage he ended up piercing on the daith side. Is it super noticable? Overall I'm fairly happy with the placement, he did a good job for his first try at things.
Please ignore my wonky earlobes and asymmetry - thanks genetics! Also any tips for trying to do my other daith at home are appreciated! Can I use a straight piercing needle for that?

I’ve been playing D&D since the late 80’s. Ever since I had kids, I’ve been looking forward to teaching my kids how to play. Today was that day, but not without some issues.
I call today “Playing ADHD&D”.
My son (11yo) and his best friend (12yo) asked to learn how to play. The other boys father said he’d like to try as well, as he hadn’t played since college, some 20 years ago. We entertained his other son (7yo) as well.
A one shot game ensued and it was magnificent! Three young boys are enticed and eager to play again. My son is already plotting his next character in hopes of making a legacy character.
It took a biblical amount of patience to deal with these boys.
This was a “one shot” designed specifically for this game, and this age group.
The boys had a great time.

 | hey all, just got a piercing i’ve been wanting for so long! I am feeling like it is off center, but my piercer said that sometimes swelling can make it appear off.
