2024.11.26 02:20 ninjachompek I am trying to remember the name of a silly text-based game I saw and it's killing me...
I stumbled upon this game some time ago, didn't bookmark it, forgot the name and now it's killing me.
Here are the things I remember:
- It was a parody/comedy silly type of game.
- Text-based, retro RPG (similar to Legend of the Green Dragon)
- Some funny doodles inside, drawn by the dev, who is not an artist (they look like they have been drawn by a little kid).
- Funny trailer on Steam, either narration or some text addressing the dev (or there was a photo of him - not sure).
- As far as I remember, the game did well (had a lot of sales and positive reviews). Probably multiplatform - at least it looked like a browser game adapted for Steam.

2024.11.26 02:20 AngryGreyWolf Can a “no further action” crime be reopened/alleged by another party?
Long story short, I was accused of alleged criminal damage. This was dismissed as NFA (no further action), as no statements were provided despite being requested by the police, and there is/was no evidence of me committing the alleged damage.
Since this, I have been tracked down and contacted over Messenger by the alleged victims partner. They are saying I’m alleged to have caused damage to their property, and I need to pay for repairs or else they will “press charges”. I spoke to the police on the phone, but the officer I spoke to was indifferent to my concerns and didn’t really give me an answer about if the same allegations can be pursued by another party despite there being nothing evidentially to link me to the alleged damage.
So - can another party have another shot at pushing for something that was dismissed, or is it likely a bluff to extract money from me?

I focused most of my 20's and early 30s on money, and now that im rich, dont have much of a personal life. The city i live in (Austin) kind of sucks for dating or meeting people that are like minded. I am considering now moving to a big city for the social/romantic benefits, but the HCOL is tough to stomach even as a rich guy. Curious if other have gone through this and have any advice.

Looking for a quality hard shell rolling suitcase. Hard, hard emphasis on the rolling. I don't care how many pockets it has or if it can expand or, or, or.... I want quality wheels that are going to last for miles.
I'm comfortable paying $400 to $500 for a bag, but am not sure about paying more than $600 to $700. Would be a hard sell. I'm not into paying extra for just a name.
It can't be too small but it can't be too big. I need to fit both my belongings, and my wife's belongings in the one bag. We're seasoned adventurers and frequently go for week, two week trips out of small day packs, though. We pack light.
We plan on using it to get our belongings from the airport to a "base camp," then will use small day packs for day to day outings. When we move areas, we'll pack everything up and roll away. Plane to train to hotels to wherever, all on foot.
Fun colors are a bonus, we love being able to keep track of our bags at the airport.

? Dandy’s Multiverse lore Sadness boxie and boxten are siblings, and bella is too, but boxten still can't break Poppy's friendship. Poppy got worried that boxten is a twisted, so she kills him and drops him off a cliff. Poppy jumped of the cliff to save Boxten so she can revive him. But she ends up cracking her neck and quickly reviving him before she dies.
Actors
Boxie isn't sad at all, she just keeps acting. She's an attention seeker so boxten becomes close with her. But she ends up annoying him. He prefers reading with bella due to her kindness and calmness. Boxten wastes his energy just to hear that Finn was the only one who survived in the group. Shrimpo was a little surprised to hear that. He's also pretty chill, but when interrupted, he gets a little upset. As a boosted, he doesn't talk so poppy was scared but she tried remaining calm. That also was before her death btw. So Toodles and Goob are gone, Goob is locked and toodles is just, dead. Finn had a promise to kill the twisted. NOT boosted. So Goob has his last day then Finn will leave tomorrow to kill him. But if he survives, he can stay and call Finn.
Trouble.. Toodles breaks in as a boosted, crying without her plush. “What..” I said. “Uh.. that's not toodles..” Finn said. Well, of course I'm confused. Oh wait, forgot to introduce myself, I'm Cosmo. I moved here because the other toons hated me.. Shrimpo does too, but not that much. Back to the trouble. Finn forgot his gun at his other dorm. He called Shrimpo to help. I was traumatized watching Shrimpo kill Toodles. Well, A twisted, in disguise. I was petrified, standing there. Frozen, like an ice cube. “Are you okay..?” Finn said. “Yeah.. I just never seen anything like this before..” I said. Now we became besties. Oh wait, that sounds too girly.. pfft.
Lamb to the slaughter. “FISHBOWL! DO SOMETHING! OR ELSE I'LL DO IT MYSELF.” Said Shrimpo. “Do.. what exactly?” Said Finn. I didn't realize what we should do until i looked at Boxten.. His face was full of ichor, his hands were shaking.. His only eye was left. I wasn't petrified unlike last time but Finn was. He soon fell to the ground trying to tell us to kill him. We did eventually, and Bella covered my eyes to help. (It didn't. I still heard his voice.) And i felt a small splatter of ichor. I trembled in fear, my head shook, and Boxten was dead. The 2 best friends vanished from life. I thought this was good news, but the more were killed, the more twisteds would come for us.
It hurts.. I was next. The ichor came inside my mouth, I was traumatized watching Shrimpo do such things to save us, And Bella, the kindest toon I've ever met, is gonna move out. Her stress between Boxie and her is extreme. I tried confronting her but, speaking of leaving, Goob is gone, too.. I was stressed out, then I realized that it's a prank. Goob is here, Bella won't move, And Toodles is alive. We all had a party and then we move every 2 days! I was surprised and happy but after 5 months, their eyes were red, they didn't speak, and they locked themselves in a metal box. I soon realized that the madness was just delayed. I quickly reached out to give a heart to Goob. But I couldn't do Toodles. I was stressed out because i had to help them. I chose Bella, too. I helped her out with stress, I play with Goob. But it was all giggles and smiles, until Dandicus Dancifier came along.
A gloomy morning.. I was watching the window, while Boxie and Bella were asleep, then I had to move to Finn's. So I packed my bag to just see a small, regular toon with petals. Dandy, the tapes eater. Haha, We gave our monthly Tapes Tax and we went to Finn's. But Boxie was left behind this time and she was actually pretty calm alone. Me and Finn were doing Try Not To Laugh, Bella won, but she didn't ever laugh again. I was wondering why, but she never talked to us, she only talked to me, about, sad things. She's always busy and she locked her door, but she's always here to help.
Apologize. I was stuck in a metal box for 4 hours, I was quiet, I kept my eye down, as if i was a boosted. Or even a twisted. Soon i fell asleep and then, Shrimpo punched the box so hard that i fell off the cliff. I quickly made a big sound but it was too late. But Finn fell with me. But during the fall, Goob was calling. Finn had to text him back. But he ended up breaking his knee and I was hospitalized.
Sacrificed Finn had to sacrifice his medkit to help me, eventually i was safe. But not Finn. I was told not to give any hearts, so I was stressed out, confused, and sad. I didn't want to let Finn die, so i stayed with him as boosted. I gave him hearts every month, but then the bandages ran out. I had m y last heart, Finn had his last day, So i sacrificed my life for him. “Cosmo! That's enough!” Said Finn. I saw all those scars. And I.. “COSMO! COSMO! I HAVE A “BANDAGE- oh..” Said Finn. “I’m so sorry.. I shouldn't have showed those.. it's.. over..?” Said Finn. “What..? I'm trying to focus here- oh.” Said Shrimpo, in the middle of his boxing practice. I didn't feel a single thing, I was more of unconscious than dead. After 2 hours, I woke up. “Finn.. Please, I'm sorry..” I said. “COSMOO! YOU'RE ALIVE!!” Said Goob. “Where am I..?” I said. I was in a litteral slaughterhouse. Goob didn't realize at all, Dandicus was there, my enemies were there, and Dandy had the biggest chainsaw I ever witnessed. SLAM! It cut my leg off, of course I was screaming. But it was aching so much yesterday, but I couldn't even breathe thinking if he's gonna execute me or not.
Lamb to the slaughterhouse with a chainsaw. So, yeah i was an amputee for a week, but then Dandicus did something that would make me give him tape tips, but of course he was trying to bribe me into trusting him forever.. but he actually gave be robotic body parts and they actually work really well! But then I saw Boxten, Toodles, Poppy, and boosted Shrimpo. They all had him tied in a chair, and he can't speak so they let him write. He was mad, but sad, but I didn't realize what is beside me, THUD. My chair fell with me on it, obviously and I felt a poke. An injection, I'd say, and it's Ichor. Yeah. Ichor. I managed to knock them out but Dandy just stood there, looking at the twisteds. And me.

I’m a 17-year-old high school junior, and throughout my high school (and even middle school) years, I’ve been single. The closest I’ve gotten to a relationship was a “talking stage” with about four different guys, all with very different personalities. Meanwhile, all my friends seem to find relationships so easily. One of them even left a long-term relationship and, within a month, found her current partner, who she’s now been with for a year.
I know being in a relationship isn’t everything, but sometimes it feels like I’m missing out on part of the high school experience. I’ve had good grades, been an all-A student, and lived a pretty calm, drama-free high school life,something many people might wish for. But it still gets lonely when I look back and wonder if I’ll ever experience what it’s like to find love.
Maybe my standards are too high, or maybe I just don’t put myself out there enough. Either way, I can’t help but overthink it. I’m curious if anyone else has gone through something similar. I’d love to hear your thoughts or have a conversation about it.
