I’m F21, diagnosed with dysautonomia based on orthostatic vitals when I was 17. Up until 2024 I had gotten ahold of things with increased watesalt intake and modified exercising. I was functional & basically never fainting. But I started getting debilitating daily headaches + migraines at the start of this year then caught a flu that re-triggered everything. I’ve been struggling ever since and it’s been affecting me so much. I’ve tried a bunch of meds and settled on propranolol & sumatriptan which help a bit.
Yesterday morning I woke up with chest pressure, my heart racing nonstop, and a migraine. I was very out of it. After trying my meds & waiting it out for several hours I reluctantly went to the ER. Initially they took me very seriously when they saw how bad my vitals were and took me right in. I was there the whole day getting blood tests, 2 ecgs, chest x ray, neurological exam & probably more. The ER doctor was actually great and thorough, he was concerned my heart rate was way too high & hadn’t gone down for 10+ hours, and that I had some weird neurological findings that couldn’t be explained. I was given Ativan to which did nothing to bring down my heart rate or other symptoms. He said he could tell this wasn’t anxiety and wasn’t comfortable sending me home like this with no solution. He told me I would probably have to stay there, but they’d find a way to help me feel better while they figured out what was wrong and he was calling in an internist to take over. That’s when things went south.
The resident evaluated me and seemed thorough going through my history, but didn’t do an exam except vitals. She said there was nothing urgently concerning, I could probably go home with follow up specialist appointments to figure things out further, but she’d talk to the attending. After another hour, her and the attending come out (for context, this is all being done out in the open in a blood draw chair with other patients around & the waiting room within earshot).
Immediately I notice he’s short with me, making snide remarks about the way I was trying to explain what happened. He shamed me over & over for having driven to the ER because I could have caused an accident and hurt people (this is fair but I live alone with no one nearby & felt fine to drive at the time). His tone made me feel like I was stupid and wasted their time. He did no exam except taking my HR, which hadn’t gone down. He then said jt was just increased stress combined with me being on an adhd med (concerta, which I’ve been on for 4 months with no issue, it’s drastically improved my fatigue & focus so I can stay in university). He told me to go back to my family doctor, wean off the adhd med & get another ecg. I began to explain my ecgs have always come back normal & I saw no point in running the same tests repeatedly. That’s when I broke down crying, eventually saying I was tired of feeling like this. He said he was sorry I was feeling bad and frustrated, told me to take propranolol & find someone to drive me home. And to not drive if I’m dizzy. Then their pagers went off and they left without another word. People close-by stared as I got up and left still in tears.
So I wasted an entire day, got behind on studying, was given false hope that I might actually get somewhere, and left feeling worse with no way forward. I just feel like something is being missed and no one cares enough to help me find a solution. It’s so incredibly exhausting, I just feel hopeless now :(

For a school like yale (for example) you can find a table with what they care about or consider. It's essentially a table that says if something is considered, important, very important, or not considered.
This seems kinda useful, but I couldn't find one for any of the Canadian universities I plan on applying to such as UBC, UT, waterloo, and McGill. does anyone know where I could find this table or something similar? Thanks!

Background:
My boyfriend and I have been living together for two years now. I have met his baby mama and his kid and have a good relationship with her.
AITAH:
Anyway last year we took his kid on vacation and let her bring one friend. It was my boyfriends idea so I let him take controll and plan the trip. We all had a good time but the trip was kinda a train wreck and left us all exhausted.
This year I've decided on planning a trip for us and his daughter. I talked to him and his daughter about it. And at first they both seemed okay. But as time passes my boyfriend has been uncooperative. He won't give me any input about pretty much anything.
Recently we were arguing about the trip and I found out that he didn't want to take his daughter on vacation this year. That he wanted an "adult vacation". I was pissed because only two weeks prior he had two weeks off of work and went out of town without anyone. Also I was pissed because we only get his daughter every other weekend. So I laughed it off and told him I was sorry, and that is was a selfish want of mine. And he looked me dead in the eyes and said "Yeah, it is very selfish of you."
On top of that I keep telling him I can't wait for our vacation and that I wish it were here. And he told me that I haven't worked enough for a vacation. And when I tried to interject he brought up how much longer he has worked than me because he is older. Kinda pressing that he is aloud to be tired and want vacations and I'm not. Like I haven't earned that yet. Here's the thing tho WE BOTH WORK 45-55 HOURS A WEEK!
So am I the asshole for planning a vacation for him his daughter and my self? I thought it would be a relaxing time and that he would be happy that everything is already planned. But instead he just seems mad and annoyed.
