2024.11.26 03:30 Green_dog144 Craziest thing I've witnessed in 9 years of trucking
A couple of years ago I'm heading west on the I-10 passing Coachella at night.
About half a mile ahead in my lane I see a dry van truck with a strange black figure on the doors of the back of the van.
Thinking it's a painting or something written like letters most trucks have, I have it no big thought until getting closer.
Upon getting close enough to see what it actually was I discover, IT'S A FREAKING MAN HOLDING ONTO THE DOORS FOR DEAR LIFE!!
I change lanes to the left and increase my speed until I'm right next to the guy and we make eye contact through my passenger window.
He was a 20-30 skinny looking Asian dude who immediately starting making gestures that he needed the truck to stop.
With one hand still holding onto the door, he started pointing to the front of the truck and then started squatting and letting one for drag onto the road.
At this point, I noticed a van pull up close to the guy while tailgating the truck. My first thought was, Oh my God these guys are gonna try to save him by letting him jump onto the hood of their car but sadly this was not the case.
I look into the window of the van and see a man and woman LAUGHING as the woman in the passenger seat records the poor guy on her phone.
I immediately sped up to be next to the truck driver, started honking my air horn like crazy to get his attention and started making gestures about the chaos going on to the rear of his vehicle.
The trucker looked at me confused but did not slow down. I was forced to speed up again and merge in front of him and turned on my hazard lights while continuing to honk my horn.
I saw through my mirrors that the trucker finally got the message and turned on his hazards as well and started pulling over.
God knows how long this crazy bastard had been holding onto this truck going at least 60mph on a bumpy highway.
I'm sure that's the last time he'll try to hitch a free ride that way 😂
Still the wildest moment after 9 years of trucking.

Hey, I could really use some support right now. I’ve been waiting for my green card, and my situation has taken a really tough turn. I got married a year ago to a wonderful person who is ten years younger than me. For a while, everything seemed great, but unfortunately, I discovered that she was cheating on me with someone closer to her age. It feels like she was looking for someone to lean on, and it really broke my heart.
It’s been three months since we parted ways, and I just found out that she’s pregnant. I've been seeing a psychologist to help me work through my feelings and move on, but it's still really challenging. Right now, I’m anxiously preparing for the USCIS interview, and I’m worried about what might happen since we’re no longer together. I hope they don’t question our relationship too much, as I’ve worked so hard to make a life here. The thought of going back is really frightening for me.
If anyone has been through something similar or has advice on what I should do, I would really appreciate your thoughts. Thank you

Hey y'all, not new to the endo pain but new to actually...seeing professionals about it. And talking. I was formally diagnosed with endo back in September after a horrific first-time experience with my first OBGYN, who was a man and told me I had IBD, and then later saw a female provider who confirmed my endo. Joy, right?
Not quite. I waited months to see a specialist, even more to have any pain relief. Gabapentin and naproxen, to be exact. Then, I waited more months to schedule a lap, and now I've been told I can't have it because I don't have any friends or family to take care of me via driving me home, making sure I don't drive, etc. An uber, taxi, or any 3rd party isn't allowed.
So the fun thing is now my specialist is booked up again, I have no pain relief that works, and I can't get treatment. I'm losing my mind to the point of stopping birth control to make a point of how much my endometriosis kills me. It would mean constant pain and tenderness, two periods a month, shedding enormous clots with tissue not broken down, vomiting, fainting, and other fun activities. I personally don't want to, but I don't think anyone's taking me seriously.
Regarding no friends or family: just that. Don't have any family, don't have friends. Never have. So...what do. Should I just torture myself? Or give up? I'm in a red state and I don't know how long healthcare will be available for me, which adds to my urgency.

Colony 6? Uraya? Gormott? Keves Castle? Build yourself a hut in the Valak Mountains? Part of me wants to have my own small titan like Rex. I also always thought living in Colony 9 would be dope. My favorite Locale is Frontier Village by far, but I think living with Nopon would make me crazy (no Nopophobia intended.) I think I'll go with Fonsa Myma in XB2 timeline. Beautiful city, with culture, food, and above one of my favorite landscapes in the series. I'm sure someone will suggest one I'll kick myself for forgetting.
