hello all, my moms birthday is coming up and with her recent diagnosis, I wanted to ask if there were any anti histamine birthday cakes (or cake alternatives) that we could try? I don’t know exactly what she has, (I believe it is MCAS?) or if there are even any different types as I am not very informed on the disease. I do know that foods with histamines trigger her and I want to make her birthday special without having her flair up. Thank you for your consideration :)

2024.11.26 03:30 Crazy_Koala_6347 Should I dispose of bulk bricks?
A couple months ago I bought someone's Lego collection off of them as it had 3 sets that I'd been looking for. In total I got 5 large storage boxes of Lego. I didn't realize until I got it home that it was extremely dirty and smoke damaged.
I don't have the best knowledge of cleaning Lego and struggle particularly with cleaning bricks. I've already taken out the pieces from the 3 sets I wanted as I'm willing to put in the time and effort to try and clean those.
I can clean the plates and other types of pieces but I have neither the knowledge or the time/effort to clean the bricks. This leaves me with a large amount of bricks that I no longer want.
Due to the smoke damage, dirt and slight discoloration to some of them would it just be easier to dispose of them then trying to sell them as a bulk lot (with the condition clearly listed) as I doubt anybody would want them. The postage would probably cost as much if not be more than what I would get for them.
If I do dispose of them how do I go about it? Do I just put them with the general waste or take them to the tip/dump?
Any information would be appreciated.

Hi all, my almost 6yo is scheduled to have surgery tomorrow morning but we JUST got her sleep test results and now we’re torn. She is a child who slept horribly as a baby and has never slept well, finally the Ped agreed to have testing done. She was seen by ENT and they said they’d move forward with surgery but still scheduled a sleep test to gain more insight.
The pediatrician wrote to us today and we’re conflicted on moving forward if this is something she can outgrow. Her message:
Child has mild obstructive sleep apnea. This means the obstructive apnea/hypopnea index was 1.5 events per hour on average (normal is defined as less than or equal to 1 per hour on average).So just barely above the normal range.Our specialists recommend a few options on how to proceed: Option 1: can consider use of nasal spray (fluticasone nasal spray) and montelukast (Singulair) which can help her symptoms. Option 2: do nothing since she is non-obese, and observe her to see if her symptoms worsen. Option 3: we can refer her for tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy. Additionally she did have some limb movements while sleeping. We may want to check her iron level and treat with supplemental iron which may help if her serum ferritin (iron stores) are under 75.

I'm 17 and a shift supervisor, we close at 10, I usually try to lock our doors at 9:55 to prevent people from coming in and making me and my staff stay for 20 minutes past close, recently there has been people trying to come in after I lock the doors and they stay until I come out and give me shit for it. I was wondering if anyone else locks the doors before their store "closes"
