When we first moved here Los Portrillos was our go-to. After 3 instances of credit card fraud and/or unauthorized charges linked to their location, we switched to Hacienda Leon. They are solid, but I went the other day for lunch and had chips and queso, one taco and a soda and the total was $21 before tip. Their prices are just skyrocketing and we just can’t afford it. We don’t love Tony’s, Pablano Burritos, or El Porton. Nothing against them, just aren’t what we’re looking for. I also have a pea allergy and I love Mexican rice, so pea free rice is something I always look for 🤣
Edit: I recently tried Ancho & Agave and they were amazing, but again, they are a pricier sit down location, and were kind of looking for more weeknight dinnetakeout vibes☺️

2024.11.26 03:30 MisterTheKid I know i’m late to the party but AP Bio is a lot of fun
I don’t know why but i had it in my mind that it was a more conventional education sitcom
When it became clear he actually was not going to teach them biology (I’m almost finished with season 2) it really cemented itself for me as more of an absurdist show more interested in just making me laugh than also making me feel good (like, say abbott elementary which i also love)
but really the kids sell it for me. They’re all good - Dan gets more to do with time, Sarika is reliable, Anthony, Victor - i mean they nail that stuff. But Grace is by far my favorite. she’s cute as a button but also really gets some fun stuff to play. the dancing she and Anthony were doing in the party episode at Victors, her in the talent show with the class. She’s just super funny
Special shout out to the diagrams on the chalkboard. those are so well done. i love them.
Also love “everybody start shutting up”. an all-timer in terms of “catchphrases” in my opinion

I'm a high earner. I receive no ACA credits. Last year I had a child, and paid 30 grand total after premiums, deductibles, and hitting out of pocket max. This year I am having another baby. Even though I make a little over six figures, it's crazy to think that I have to set aside a third of my after tax income to pay health bills. It's making living tight. Any options other than ACA plans for someone having a baby in January?
