Hey yall! I am wanting to explore my options for checking my egg count after my hysterectomy.
A brief rundown of my sitch: I had a total hysterectomy almost four years ago because of severe adeno and endo. They took everything but my ovaries and my doctor said they seemed to be in decent health all things considered, and I have had no symptoms of early menopause.
I’m 25 years old now and I am wondering if I should try to freeze some of my eggs, or if it’s even worth it depending on quality and quantity. There’s a couple of blood tests I know that can be done, as well as a transvaginal ultrasound test too. However for that one, I think it’s supposed to be in the first few days of your cycle, and I have no idea how I would be able to track that. I can tell when I’m PMSing but that’s about it lol, and my cycles were irregular prior to my surgery. When I tracked it before I would have a 14-18 day cycle and then a 32-40 day cycle and go back and forth (idk what my uterus was doing either lmao).
I’m not 100% sure if I want to freeze my eggs and potentially use a surrogate down the line, but I just want to have as much information as possible.
If anyone has any advice on tracking cycles post surgery or any insight on fertility testing/freezing eggs please let me know! Also if you feel comfortable sharing your story, if anyone here has been or surrogate or used one, please reach out to me, I would love to hear it.

2024.11.26 04:00 enory After kickstart install, no DNS resolution (need to link resolv.conf)

I've been playing with AlmaLinux starting disposable VMs. I noticed after fresh kickstart install, there's no DNS resolution (there's internet connection, I could ping 8.8.8.8). I figured out I needed to manually link /uslib/systemd/resolv.conf to /etc/resolv.conf and edit to e.g. 192.168.1.1 for the DNS server.
Any ideas why this might be missing and/or necessary to do it manually? This is the kickstart file.
I would also appreciate if anyone can point out whether any improvements like organization, syntax-wise, or alternatives/additions for the kickstart file since I'm going to use it as a template for all VM installs.

Hi everyone! A reason to apply for Advance Parole (AP) has potentially come up for me. My grandfather just informed my mom that he injured his knee and now cannot step or walk properly. He needs someone to take him to see a doctor and then a specialist, who will most likely recommend surgery or rehab.
The issue is that my grandmother, who helps him get around because he is blind and has limited mobility from a previous DVT incident, also has a bad knee, which limits what she can do. Given the situation, I’m wondering if this is enough for Emergency Advance Parole (EAP)? Those in my family who can travel are unable to do so due to work, family duties, or lack of funds.
Given the circumstances, my family is encouraging me to take this chance. I understand I would need to acquire birth certificates, his medical history and letters from doctors or specialists, but I have seen that some folks have been denied for more so yea..
