So like the title says, I've been tasked with running a one(maybe two) shot for my folks and my younger sister while we're home for thanksgiving. A bit of background, my mom knows that I play with my friends, and that my sister has played with us remotely once or twice in the past and she just watched the D&D movie recently and was curious. I think she said she'd played one of the old terminal versions of a D&D game way back when, but that doesn't really count. I'm wondering if anyone else has been in the same situation in the past and had any luck with it.
Last week I did a zoom call with my folks to walk through the character creation process with Mom and Dad and we landed on Mom (changeling Rogue) and Dad (Half-Orc Fighter), not sure what my sister is playing, but I'm giving her some leeway since she knows how to play. They both seem engaged and interested, but I know my family and if they aren't drunk and arguing before we even start, it's going to start up over the course of the game.
I've been toying with some campaign ideas. I want to offer both some combat stuff, as well as some puzzle/non-combat problem solving stuff, so I was sort of thinking of tweaking the death house from Strahd. Basically, the party gets tasked with retrieving some relic/important documents from a known haunted house so maybe there's some puzzled, fighting some suits of armor, etc.
I was wondering if people had any advice for dealing with brand new players, but brand new players who can be very confrontational and are very self assured. I've sort of resigned myself to the fact that this is going to devolve into yelling, but I figured I'd ask.

 | I have been avoiding green as much as possible but when I grabbed a p1p3 mossborn hydra I realized I might be the only G drafter at the table. Obviously this deck has bombs, but I think the key to playing G in this set is the four drop Treetop Snarespinner. The early drops don’t hold off aggression too well, but as long as you play something those turns, a turn four snarespinner makes everyone pump the breaks. Once it stalls the board, you have the opportunity to take over. 34F dumped by 46M over a week ago.
He said he didn’t see a future with us when the week before we were intimate and the week before that he got me flowers.
10 years of friendship, 3 years of dating for a total of 13 years. Never thought we would break up this way. Feared we would break up certainly, but not in the acrimonious way we did.
Moved my life a year and a half ago to live with him. He told me he didn’t see a future and to move out. I wound up doing so and he threw a hissy fit per mutual friend’s comments. He expected us to discuss a logistical plan for me to move out, but he kept avoiding the subject whenever I would bring it up and instead just ignored me, only talking to me to reiterate how awful I am and that we are not compatible. He went off on me for not being domestic to the point of telling me that if we had a child together that if the floor were dirty, the child would lick it and up in the hospital.
For months he was getting angry with me, threatening to break up if I didn’t do XYZ. I told him that he had a problem and that we should go to couple’s therapy. He said no and always said that I was the problem (even now). Yes, he is older, more established, a great help, but he threw everything in my face time and time again in the week I still lived with him post-breakup.
I left and moved out for my own sanity, not even leaving a note because there was no point in saying anything. Damned if I do, damned if I don’t. He has told me time and time again that I am incapable of making decisions, helpless even. I am seeing a therapist and a life coach and I’m just trying to make sense of what I did wrong here.
I love him (stupid heart I know) still and keep hoping he regrets this and comes back, especially given that he said I was the most significant relationship in his life and we had plans for marriage and children, but I can’t help but wonder was I gaslit this entire time? Is this emotional abuse?
For what it’s worth, he has not called, texted, looked for me since I left yesterday. He only complained to mutual friend that I had the audacity to move out and take MY furniture. Not to mention, too, that he didn’t believe me when I said I was in said friend’s house Friday night. Like what the heck? You don’t want me, but you still are monitoring my moves? I don’t understand. I really don’t. What the heck am I dealing with? I fear this is all my fault.

Super niche question
I'm trying to contact a Japanese ski field that also does a night tour in February to see their "Snow Monsters", however they are only contactable via phone call. (And my spoken Japanese is words, not sentenses)
I'm trying to figure out how long the nightcruiser tour takes (80 minutes is noted on the second link below), but is that finishing at the base Zao ropeway station? If not, how long would it take (approximately) to get back to base from the end of the tour?
I am hoping to go on the 5pm tour, and head back to Tokyo late afterwards (either by train or by night bus), so I would need to be able to catch the bus from the base level Zao rope way to Yamagata Station, ideally before their last service to make a train.(Can do a taxi if needed, I suppose, but still need confirmation I'd be able to make a train on time)
As much as I would love to stay in Zao overnight, I'm trying to fit this in as a day trip as I have a limited time frame, but I have missed visiting the Zao snow monsters on my previous trips to Japan as I have always arrived in early March.
Does anyone: 1. Happen to know the answers asked above about timings /where the tour ends / if it's possible to make it back to Tokyo after a 5pm nightcruiser tour?
