I'm working on a B2B email where I'd like to exclude a group of contacts from the main audience that meet at least one of the following three conditions:
- Contact is tagged x
- Contact email address contains x
- Contact company name contains x
I've set this up as an advanced segment and exported the list to review it, and it works perfectly. The email was then set up with the main audience in the "Send to" field, with the advanced segment set as "Do not send to".
The part where I'm stuck is that I'd like to export the audience MINUS the advanced segment so that a colleague can approve exactly who this is going to, but I can't figure out how to do this. I know there's a pop-up preview of the list in the edit menu, but I don't seem to be able to export this, and my attempts to build an advanced segment that inverts these conditions correctly have been unsuccessful.
I feel like I'm missing something super obvious, so any help would be appreciated!

Are you struggling to improve in MM? Still working hard but not improving from 70% or 50%?
Here are some strategies that some of my students have used to go from 50s to 90+%:
FOLLOW A STRICT SCHEDULE
- Lets say you have a test coming up in 2 weeks. Make a DAILY plan for what you are going to do everyday to achieve that 90+ % on the test in 2 weeks.
- Ideally, the first 1 week, I would want you to spend JUST REVIEWING THE fundamentals of the concepts being tested. For instance, if the test is on calculus, I would review all my notes and understand the concepts really really well to the point where I am 100% confident in my understanding of the concept in itself. Like literally you should aim to get 100% confidence in those chapters and concepts in that first week.
- For the 2nd, week, smash out practice papers and REVIEW AND REFLECT. This is VERY VERY IMPORTANT. I know a lot of you just go about doing 3 practice papers then marking it afterwards. One of my students actually did that. But WHAT IS THE POINT???THINK ABOUT IT - > What if you did 3 practice papers and then you made the same silly mistakes but you ONLY find out about the silly mistakes after you start marking... THen haven't you wasted those 3 practice papers???
Do 1 test, review it and reflect on it. FIx all the mistakes - whether that be by reviewing fundamentals or figuring out how to fix the silly errors. Then and ONLY THEN, you should do the 2nd test and then repeat the process again and rinse and repeat.
SUPPORT FROM Teachers, Peers, Family, Tutors, etc
- Having access to someone for support is really great. It would be great if you have someone that you could just send a question and get a response back whether that be your peer who is good at Maths or if your schools allow you to direct message the teachers on a platform like MS Teams or whether that be a family member or your tutor.
- But it is REALLY REALY IMPORTANT that you ask questions if you do not understand some concepts.
Another thing is PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE
- A lot of you struggle with TIME MANAGEMENT - The trick for this is to just PRACTICE PRACTICE and PRACTICE. Do so many questions that you actually pick up patterns and then that builds up your speeeed for doing questions.
- You will find that the more questions you do, the quicker your speed will become

Hi, I know the title sounds bad but PLEASE hear me out. For the sake of this story, I will not be using real names. My best friend will be Owen and his "enemy" Ben.
Starting off, I've known Ben since his freshman year, my sophomore year. I practically raised him, and am now a senior while he is a junior. We are still really good friends, and just got off the phone. I met Owen my junior year, his sophomore year, and we automatically clicked and became really good friends. Earlier this year (junior year), I developed a crush on Owen. However, I dropped it since he was already talking to someone. He also told me about his beef with Ben, and how they were chill freshman year but things had changed sophomore year. He didn't go into detail about it until late July. By then, I was technically a senior and he proceeded to tell me everything from beginning to end. He told me how Ben told one of their mutual friends that Owen needs to be willing to change if he thinks there are problems between them. I also thought this was weird, and overall believed Owen since he had actual messages and proof. Coming back to school, Owen and I became close physically and mentally. We would often snuggle up during lunch or link arms in the hallway. We also adjusted to calling almost every night to debrief about our days. With this loop, my feelings came back and are still lingering. Fast forward to November, we are both in the drama department and were involved with the play. Owen and Ben were actors, while I was a part of stage crew. The week leading up to the play, we had a really specific facetime call that lasted almost five hours where we went into a really deep talk about love. I should mention that he ended things with the person he was talking to and he's made it very clear that he doesn't feel anything for them anymore. His perspective on love was that he ultimately gave up and that it wasn't his current priority. He decided to write about it. I don't remember a majority of it, but I specifically remember a sentence about "I want to hate you, but I can't." I asked him what he meant by the entire "story", but he said it wasn't really about anyone. I brushed it off and went to bed. Moving to the opening night of our play, Owen, Ben, me and a couple of other people had been talking about PSAT scores. Ben revealed his score to be past 1000, and when it came to Owen he revealed his score which got a bunch of shocked reactions. At some point Owen looked at me like he was about to cry, so I excused us and moved us into a private area. He started crying and explaining how he felt like he was letting everyone down and how he knew the expectations for him were high. I felt bad and consoled him. We talked about it until it was time for him to go backstage. I gave him a final hug and kiss on the cheek before sending him off. In our play, we had two different casts. So on the second night, our teacher had the other cast critique the cast that went up the previous night. I noticed that Ben was complimenting a specific scene Owen was in and complimented everyone in that scene but Owen. I was a little weirded out by it and turned to Owen confused. He seemed a little annoyed and brushed it off. After the closing night of the play, a bunch of us went out to eat at a restaurant. The seating went Ben, Owen, then me. Throughout the night, Ben was taking jabs at Owen which was upsetting him. I told Ben to knock it off and offered to switch seats with Owen, which he declined. Time skip to yesterday, I attended a friendsgiving with Owen and Ben, as well as other friends. One of these friends is crucial to the story, so we'll call her Emily. Emily "adopted" Owen and raised him from his freshman year to now. When I arrived, Emily asked me about the beef between the two and I was shocked. Only two other friends knew about the beef, so I was shocked to hear she had found out about it. I downplayed the situation and told her how Owen felt like Ben didn't like him. We dropped the subject and she had to rearrange table placements since the arrangement was Owen, Ben, and then me. I was moved between the two to keep the dinner civil. Throughout the dinner, I noticed Owen was purposefully leaving Ben out so I turned away to converse with Ben. I updated him on my love life and we talked briefly until we moved to the couch to watch a movie. I had tried sitting next to Owen but ended up next to another friend. The seating for the movie went Ben, Owen, Emily, a friend, and then me. I noticed that Ben scooted away a bit since Emily and Owen were snuggled together. I figured Ben was making room, and offered for him to move next to me. He declined, and we decided to watch the movie. Owen had left first and asked me to debrief with him on call when I had gotten home so I agreed. I get home and call him, which is where things go downhill. When we called, he had begun to talk about Ben and how he thought it was weird he would scoot away like that. I told him my honest thoughts and opinions and explained how I didn't really think it was his intention. I called him out on leaving Ben out and told him it was a really immature thing for him to do. Especially since he claims that the beef is one-sided. Owen didn't like my response but respected it. I had told him how Emily found out about the said beef, so he asked if he should tell her about it. I told him that her response may be biased, but if it made him feel better he should go for it. I don't remember what was exactly said but it was something about me being biased towards him as well. This is where I messed up and told him word for word "I'm not biased though. You have to remember Ben came before you." Owen seemed to have gotten upset and told me "I know where your loyalties lie." He threatened to hang up, and I rushed to explain myself since I felt really guilty about how the phrase came off. We dropped the subject for a little bit but it ultimately came back up. At this point, our voices were already slightly raised, but this time I properly explained what I had meant. I had told him how I needed to consider Ben's feelings and how Ben was still my friend at the end of the day. My opinion wasn't going to change just because they had "one-sided" beef. I should clarify that Ben has never negatively mentioned Owen and has never even told me of having beef with Owen. Owen admitted he was butthurt about what I said, and was still saying he knew where my loyalties lie. I then proceeded to mention how he did something similar at the beginning of this year when Emily and I had problems (there are no current problems between us, and we are still close). Owen would tell me how Emily came before me, so it was only natural he would go to her for everything. He tells me this almost monthly, and I still get butthurt but don't say anything since he has a point. He was trying to tell me it was different at the time, but I told him it wasn't and that our situations were similar. He then tried flipping the situation by saying that Ben hadn't been there since day one. I told him that wasn't true since Ben witnessed a lot of my major events, and that Ben knew a couple of things Owen didn't. Owen got even more butthurt and at some point, he gave up, and started giving me blunt answers like "No it's fine, I see how it is." I felt really guilty and started crying. I told him "I don't know what your problem is." Then hung up. We haven't spoken since the call which now brings me here. So aita for telling my crush/best friend that the person he doesn't like came before him? I'm sorry if the story is a mess, I'm still super upset and have too much going on in my life already lol
